For Alamo, in the box where you put in your reservation info on the front page, click "More options." OR click "New" in the Reservations line at the top of the page.
Then on the screen that opens, there's a box to enter your Insiders number and a box for Coupon Code.
You put the coupon code in the box for coupon code. No penalties at all for changing or cancelling. Check as often as you wish. Check daily as your trip gets to be one or two weeks out. You are NOT an idiot, you are aksing legit questions. Pretty soon you will be a veteran and it will be really easy. Let me know if you need more help.
Sept. 28 - Oct. 12
Thanks!

Rates can change from morning to afternoon on any given day, so it doesn't hurt to check for new rates as often you want to make the effort. If you see a better rate, just make the new reservation and cancel the old one. (Be careful though to make sure you're cancelling the right one.) There's no penalty for cancelling.
Any way you could take a cab or some other transportation to MCO (or take Magical Express to hotel and rent onsite)? Tons of deals out there for under $200 at MCO. Sorry if that's not an option, just wanted to check for you.

Didn't realize they were 40 mins apart, scratch the cab idea. Are you staying onsite at a Disney resort?
Using carrentalsavers.com the cheapest I see is Advantage Car Rental. I personally haven't used them, but, Alamo and Dollar are $$$. What type of car do you want?
Do you need a car for your entire stay? Maybe doing 2 oneway reservations is the way to go...
I see everyone posting different codes that belong to different organizations. Do they actually check to see if you belong to say Costco or the American Airlines thing. I know some are free to join but Costco or BJ's or ones like that I don't think it would be beneficial to me to join seeing as I don't have one of those stores near me.

Doesn't the person at the gate ,that lets you out of the rental garage, check your drivers license, credit card and in this case Costco or BJ's cards, to see that the info on the rental is correct?
