C'mon Alamo and National, let's get those September rates DOWN! My 8-day Compact rental is looking like $136 right now from Alamo. I don't think I'm used to paying more than $10/day for September. I guess it's just a matter of time.

I am traveling alone with my 2 1/2 year old son. I want to take ME and then I have friends already there who can take me onsite to pickup a car. So looking onsite.

I can do either. Whichever works out cheaper. I don't want to do rental at MCO because of luggage with just my son and I. But going home I can check all luggage ME either way.

Thanks! It did come down a bit more, but I'm not a member of Costco (as much as I love their cakes! ) so I don't think I could use it.

Hoping to get some feedback on Avis and Budget... I have Avis booked with a Costco coupon for $68 for the week of 9/23-9/29 and Budget with a USAA discount of $90 for the week. I'm willing to pay more for a better/easier company to work with since we've rented a car once like 3 years ago and not through either of these companies. Thanks.

Just checked back at Dollar. Minivan for week in September (9/12) just went down from 207.93 base rate to 165.30 (base - 227.39 total)

Go to website, type in info, then when price comes up, click city special!!!

Just got the same rate for a week with my dates, too. 9/1-9/8. Best rate I've seen so far for a mini van in Sept...hope some people can jump on this who need a van!

I go back and forth between my full-size I have a reservation for (currently $140 with all taxes and fees) and getting a mini-van. We have 5 adults (3 are small and are okay squishing in back seat together). A mini van would be more comfy, but I am trying to keep this trip as BUDGET as possible.

Thanks! I just got the same rate for my Sept dates...9/13-9/18 for a minivan, $223, all in thru Dollar with the City Special. Before this, I had a minivan thru budget reserved at $293, minus a $30 coupon (that I expect they would honor), so $263 all in.

The $40 difference is a half a tank of gas! Awesome!

Great Rates with Dollar but it is still slightly higher then the Enterprise I score. Dollar is showing up at 243 and Enterprise is 228. Hopefully the prices will move around abit more

yes you can.. change "pickup location" to CITY then put in 32830 in Zip code for the Orlando area..
