Just booked a mini van through Dollar, 9/6-9/16 base rate 235.00 after taxes and fee's 325 for 10 days out the door. used the city special that comes up after you check the base rates. ( as others have posted previously)
The base rate for a week is 165.

Wow, that's a pretty good deal! I've got a compact car for the first 2 weeks of October for $412 with Dollar so far. I can't find anything better no matter what coupons I use.

Alamo dropped another 40.00 for me, they are at 248 for a minivan. Almost as low as my Enterprise, so now I"m getting excited lol

Full size and standard are the same thing with Alamo.. your rate should still come down soon

Same here. I got a full size at Alamo for 9/18 - 9/23 for $114 including taxes. $114 isn't bad but I'm always hoping it will go even lower

not sure on that one we've tried compacts before but they usually don't have automatic locks or alarms.. half the time the only way I find the car in Disney parking lots is by setting off the alarm I do at least take a picture of the license plate and the row sign with my camera or phone so I don't look like a complete idiot trying to find it

Just got down to $112.02 for a compact from Alamo, with Insiders and the AA code, for 9/26-10/1. (I'm still trying to convince my boyfriend that it'll be worth the money to rent a car, so I'm even more motivated to try to save every penny than I otherwise would be. At least I think he's dropped the idea of taking the bus from Disney to Universal...)

We've never rented a car for travels in Orlando before...we are taking a quick trip without the kids the end of September.

I've joined the Alamo Insiders and used a visa discount code and end up with $115 (midsize) for 9/26-9/30.

Am I missing any other possible discounts?

I just checked with Alamo with the Insider discount and came up with $320 for a compact. My husband checked with E-Z Rental and got $151 for a mid-size car. Has anyone used E-Z before?

I'd be careful using E-Z rent a car I looked them up on BBB website

If you don't book something early enough around Columbus day you can have issues, i've seen the rates rise crazy a few weeks out in the past.

i'm just glad i booked beginning of july with old Continental Airlines code i've already posted in this thread along with the AA $35 coupon...grand total is $148 for 8 days, standard, beginning 9/29! I can live with it, but it doesn't stop me from continuing to check lol.
