:welcome: And congrats on the Disneymoon. We stayed at POR for our first trip almost three years ago. You will love it. Absolutely beautiful. We will be at WDW for some of the same date, Sept 4-7 at CBR for us.

I'm really looking for to June now ladies. I got to meet one Dis'er a couple of weeks ago at AK, just started talking to each other while watching the kiddo's dig for Dinos. Now, if the DH makes it home by then.:confused3

Angwill. takes O'hare all the time.. and when I go visit family by St.Charles I take Midway... I had used both airports but since I use SWA all the time from Philly we are more comfortable at Midway... Not sure about flights from O'hare either but so far Ang got a good deal for her October trip...

where abouts in Chicago are you... there is a Chicago thread and lots of great diser to meet also!!! I will have to look for the link!!!

We like Midway better than O'Hare just because the access in the city is better than O'Hare and it has a better on time record than O'Hare. We have also gotten good deals on Southwest to Denver and places, but I have no idea how good the deals are to Orlando with SWA. There is a good Airtran deal from Midway, but have heard unpleasant things about flight changes since the reason we would choose them is because the flights are better than AA's same deal at O'Hare. So yeah. That's where I am.

I would love to see the Chicago DISers thread. We both live and work in neighborhoods in the city proper. :)

So glad you found us!

How exciting to look forward to free dining and a Disneymoon!

Enjoy POR too! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

(p.s. We prefer Midway as well...O'Hare is crazy!!! Sometimes we fly into MKE - love that airport. Orginally from Chicago, loads of family there.:) )

Well it's official, our dates are Sept 18th-26th at Pop, with discounted Deluxe Dining(I can't decide whether or not I want basic free dining or deluxe).

I did d/l the ding and still have the Mdw - MCO route... anythign I see I will def'ly pass it on... Check American and United... thats what Ang is using in Oct.

Thank you, that is the cutest little sign!

aaahhh you met are Glitter Diva !!! she lights up this thread always!!! Diva K

Thank you for the welcome! We just got back from NYC to look at grad schools and flew through O'Hare...it actually went pretty well, but it is a very different experience from Midway!

ETA: You snuck in on me! Thank you for the DING! help. They don't offer fares for my dates until April 14 :(

We will be at ASM for FD on Sept 19~25th YIPPEE
Almost had to skip cause of hubby's knee surgery!

Also so can someone "Boo" me? :sad1: I lost mine?

Well since I am a Tiggergirl, I always have a lot of bouncin to do. so yes back to the land of Magic at the Pop and I love strawberry poptarts. As far as washing the windows, not while I am on vacation. Looking forward to 9/10-19th for a lot of bouncin around the parks.....

Jess,
Welcome fellow Chicago person. I grew up 12 miles or so west of Chicago. I now live in a little tiny boring town west of DeKalb with more animals than people. lol

Our dates don't match but maybe someone elses here might.

I always take American since they have always had the lowest fares for us for a straight fligh and never changed the time more than an hour and that was only once. I get a town car to take us to the airport so traffic doesn't matter and Ohare is less expensive to have them drive us to anyway. The town car is also cheaper than parking that is over $10 a night at Ohare. I love the hustle and bustle of Ohare so it works for me.

This year I got American for $79 each way but that sale is currently gone during that time frame. United is having rt fares for $118 but only till 6/17 so it is kind of early for the really good deals but they should be coming. Bonnie on the list just listed a special on Air Tran out of Indianapolis that I think was $58 each way if you want to check that out. I keep hoping Jet Blue will come up with direct flights from ORD to MCO but it is still only with a layover in NYC. If you move to NYC in the future check them out great prices and TV's in the back of all the seats.

Anyway it is good to hear from new people on the thread.

Welcome Ms. Kreamer. Wish our dates matched but sadly they don't. Deluxe dining is a whole lot of food and time spent in restaurants. If your main goal is to enjoy all the restaurants or lots of 2 credit places like the castle, hoop de do, and the luau then Deluxe is for you. If you are more geared toward experiencing the parks and doing as much as possible you might want to go for the regular free dining and not be tied down to getting to ADR's on time. HTH

Kristin,
You be safe and take care of your Dad while you are there. I am sure it will be good for them to get away and come visit with you over Easter. Sending a truck load of pixie dust to you and your family.

Hello everyone else hope you have a good Tuesday.

Ang

Ang, what car service do you use? Since we always spend so much on parking anyway (we don't use onsite parking, but it is still approx. $8 a day) we might be able to do that for comparable price and less hassle...

oh goodness we have lots of new people, Yeah!!!

Welcome Lisa and TiggerD.

Angela
