Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

Sounds like everyone survived Easter, some better than others.:)

I managed to lose 3.5#'s yesterday. Do not ask why, TMI.

Had to make a rush appointment at the eye doctor today. Some complications. Being deaf and BLIND is not something I can handle. Would rather lost both legs and one arm, need one to hold the book ya know. :dance3: It seems it is just a common side effect and can easily be fixed. Only painful part is paying the bills. :guilty:

Folks. take my advice and do not get old. It is not for sissies. Heck, I am not even all that old, yet.

Easter stuff all put away until next year.

TB, hope some of those carbs were chocolate. If you are going astray, it should be worth it!:yay:

SG

Congrats on the 3.5#; sorry for how you were able to do it (and thanks for not sharing it with us ;)). :scared1: on the vision problems, but glad it's easily fixed (if not easily paid for). All chocolate, thank you, but I really need to quit. Or else I'll never get rid the Disney poundage.

and yes!!! looking forward to emptying the pool at TL with everybody... LOL POTC was not big enough now we are going to try our Charm at TL :lmao: Bonnie and KB and TB if you are reading this... we need reenforcement please come in June :rotfl2:

I knew my "muffin top" was good for something!

 I just booked our flights :dance3:

Me too--first thing this morning! And now I'm even more glad I did, because one of the flights I booked is no longer available. :scared1: Not too happy with SWA right now--they cut a ton of flights, so our choices were very limited.

SG

Congrats on weight loss.... and sorry about your medical issues and the bills :scared1:.... Yep someones coming to see if we can have a drain placed in our basement floor tomorrow... and today I sat down and figured out bills for the rest of the yr ... and am excited to say maybe able to purchase a "2nd Home" w/ Disney Vacation Club... :wizard:

:cheer2: for DVC! We went on the tour last year and, as tempting as it was, resisted. Besides, it's hard to beat the value of free dining!

Yikes, just saw that about 20 miles up the Interstate the winds got high enough it flipped a car in the driveway.:scared1:Fortunately it wasn't that bad here.

Almost made it through Tuesday.

Okay, I'll stop griping about how windy it was when we were there last week.

:drive:yohoooooo hope all is well with everyone.
Linda-I've got those 3.5 lbs you've lost. Plenty to share in case anyone is interested. Timmy love the hair!
Dying to book FDP Labor Day weekend, SW has great fares for us, $58 one way. Please tell me it is ok, even though we are going in Oct:laughing: My other half is not seeing things my way:confused3
No TL for June but I just can't cancel that ressie. Finally did rent out the rest of our DVC points :guilty:
Times up!!!!! :grouphug:

Diva K, I have missed you gal! I was thinking of you the other day cause a younger friend of mine was wanting to go to DW with me one of these fine days and I thought it would be great to be there when you all are there as you and she would have a blast!
SG
sorry I've been MIA recently...things have been crazy since Grandma's funeral, subbing, parents visiting for Easter (took them to The San Antonio Botanical Gardens on Monday and haven't been able to breath since!) Today is DS 11th birthday...we celebrated yesterday before my parents left because today is so busy (he has book club, a band preformance and baseball practice all after school today!) :hourglass
Boo!!! Who's planning to go to Mickey's not so scary halloween party?
I was so looking forward to this (and DISigning coordinating t-shirts for my group! ;)) but since we've changed our dates, so the kiddos wouldn't miss any school, we won't be attending :headache:

I won best loser of the week at TOPS yesterday. It was only one pound but heck I was delighted to have any kind of a loss after being up nearly EIGHT pounds at one point last week. Calories in, calories out does not work for me. I hate it when I am good and do not get rewarded!:rotfl:

Poor Bonz, you are always doing for others. You do not have to pick up my lost pounds though. :goodvibes Please pass them on to some poor anorexic gal who could use them. I would not want you to be loaded down with my excess. I have often wanted to rent DVC points as the only place that I have not stayed at that interests me is OKW. Scared of those cancellation problems though. If I could get my dd to go with it would be worth the risk. Not likely to happen though. :confused3

Diva K, HBD to your ds. Sounds as if he is keeping far too busy to get into any mischief. What wondrous present does such a special guy get for his BD? You are forgiven for being busy, just want you to know that you are greatly missed when you are not here so that you will drop by when you can. :yay:

Lisa, just found out that my share will be about $200 for the procedure and have gotten second, and third confirmation that this eye thing is common and easily, and painlessly, fixed. Just bummed cause I planned the original surgery cause it would be free. I am scared that the second half of the year will be as bad as the first and I might have to cancel the December trip. Not really likely though. I am just very conservative. I would be worried about fees on the DVC right now. I am hearing of lots of problems at retirement communities with all the foreclosures and folks being asked to pay much more, sometimes multiple amounts, for monthly fees and such. We live in interesting times, the rules have changed. Chocolate calories are worth it. :rotfl: I would take your budding reader to visit with Belle. She is a great reader as well. I wish I could read with her sometime. Never know. I always carry a few of my favorite books with me in case I run into a child. Some of the older folk at bowling bring their small grandchildren and they get so bored so I keep them company and we read. Congratulations for starting her on the road to a wonderful life!:wizard:

JM, when I came home last September we ran into high winds that were blowing trees and signs down along the highway. My car's seat still have stains. :scared1: The problem with having so many internet friends is that I know someone from somewhere so I always have to be worried about someone.

Timmie, how nice of you to donate your locks for love. Mine are far too curly and if my hair gets more than a few inches long we need hedge trimmers so I am no help there.

Rebecca, you are one brave woman for promising to keep up with Timmie. One thing for sure, you will never be bored. :dance3:

Ang, when you go in October you are driving with just you and Will? If I get the chance I will be standing beside the Edinburg exit off 65 waiting for you. :rotfl: I have often thought that I could easily stand at any of the exits with a sign saying DIS and DW and get a ride from someone. I know I would stop for a lime green Mickey. I once saw a house with loads of Disney figures in their yard and contemplated knocking on the door. Figured we would have loads to talk about. For sure, for sure!

It's your birthday and your vacation- we'll do things however you want to do them- even if you change your mind a gazillion times before Saturday :goodvibes!

OMG! That's so short! I do like your hair short tho- very cute!

:cheer2:

woke up this morning with a feather duster look alike... now why did I get them to style hair like this... I need styling products to calm this curls...LOL

We are big "tid wads" my sister calls me ... So we have a very big savings for just about everything and with the paying off house and truck in next 3 months we are doing well enough. I am a little worried too so we are seeing our personal finance attorney to help us so we don't get "screwed" so to speak.
I am sure Aspen would love to read to you... its so funny I "caught" her up at 3 this morning reading to her Mickey and Minnie.

Thanks

:cheer2: for DVC! We went on the tour last year and, as tempting as it was, resisted. Besides, it's hard to beat the value of free dining!

Thanks we haven't made the official decision that's all in what our PFA says and you are right FD is an awsome deal!

Lisa,
Congratulations on being able to buy DVC. What resort do you want to buy into? I know they are having really good incentives this year to buy in too.

Jess,
I just call to put my ME flight info into the system. I know it only takes the airline and flight number but no times if that is the issue you are having.

Bonz,
Miss you and the boys. I hope you will be at Disney the same time in October as us. Will asked if Garrett and Graham will be there when we go and I said not June but maybe October. I am sorry but I would agree with your DH about going the end of August and then again in October. I have to take his side only because I won't be there too. lol

Kristin,
Sounds like your a busy woman. I am sure it was hard seeing your family go home to PA too. Sorry we won't be at Disney at the same time.

Melissa,
Glad you survived the storms. I heard you are in for some big winds down south again today or at least that is what our news forcaster said?

TB,
One thing to be glad about is if SWA already cut flights it is less likely they will do it after you booked screwing up your plans.

Timmy,
I used to give my hair to locks of love till about 2 years ago when my hair started thining and looked really bad when long. I used to get 10-12 inches to donate every year too. I bet you will love the haircut once you get used to it.

Linda,
Congratulations on the weight loss. I wish I could say the same but I have sadly gained and am now working out more to get it off. We shall see if it works. My body is much the same calories in to calories out mean nothing. I gain in 10 lb increments and lose in 1-2lb increments go figure. I actually found out how to figure out how your body burns calories and how to keep track. I kept track of my calories out to calories in and found on the chart that sadly my motabolism works like a person in their 70's to 80's according to the chart.

As for driving, I am driving down and back for our June trip and have airfare for October already. Al is flying in to be with us for about 5 days at Disney and then driving back with us. He is not a Disney fan (mostly due to the heat) so he said he will deal with Disney and the heat for a few days only because he does love us and wants to spend some vacation time with us. What a guy. I learned not to push him or he complains about it for the entire month before we go on vacation and kills my anticipation high. lol

Have a good Wednesday.

Angela

Angela

Still undecided going to go on tour again and see what's got the best deal at the time of our visit. I could probably live with anything ... I would however love Contemporary if I could get it.

Lisa, pm & I'll give you the name of our guide. You DO NOT want him, still waiting for a return call from 2 yrs ago! If you need a reference let me know.

SG we usually have some points to play with, let me know when you are ready for OKW (our home).
Ang-miss you, ditto Timmy:cutie:

:drive:yohoooooo hope all is well with everyone.

Will you send them this way to Jacob. He was running around naked last night (don't ask) and he is so thin. Those of you going to TL with us, be warned.

Lisa, that is wonderful about the DVC. I looked into while the DH was in Iraq, but couldn't do it since I knew we would soon be moving and having to buy a house. Maybe when he retires.

Sorry I wasn't on yesterday. Picked up a virus on the computer Tuesday night and finally got it fixed last night. Finally had to restore the computer to a week ago.:sad2:

Went to Epcot yesterday with my neighbor. Had a great time standing in line for Soarin' for two hours. We got there at 10:00, FP's were already for 2:00, which we had to be back by then to pick up kids from school. When we got in line it showed a 50 minute wait, so don't know what happened. It was what she really wanted to ride though and I had fun talking with her. We actually did have a whole family, Father, Mother, Son and Daughter cut in line. They acted like they were on the phone looking for someone and then stopped right in front of us. I worked my around them and bit my tongue to keep from saying something. The daughter, about 16 or so, tried to speak to me about Mickey Heads, but I almost told her, "if you hadn't cut in line, I would be happy to talk to you!" At least we ended up in the first row of the ride. Then spent about 30 minutes walking around to Morocco, caught the boat back and headed out. Thank goodness my neighbor was using her birthday pass. The good news, she really wants to get back and is going to look into annual passes. I have decided to go back to Epcot this weekend. The F&G Festival is just amazing and we didn't even see a 4th of it.

SG, I think we are having the same kind of luck when it comes to expenses. Just made an appointment for my dog. He has an abcess in his mouth. Probably too old to do anything for him but medicate it. I think we are getting close to having to put him down. I won't do anything until the DH gets home though. He doesn't seem to be in pain though.

Sorry to hear about your share of the surgery, but glad to know you researched it and found it to be common.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Yep, it is a year for financial fusses. Just got to be grateful when it is not more than we have. Like the Gambler, breaking even is the best one can hope for. :goodvibes

Ang, I still contend that I could stand, lime green Mickey's ablaze, and can a ride down to DW most anytime. :rotfl: I know that I cannot go any time other than December but a gal has to have dreams. I think it is wonderful of your hubby to go along. Maybe he can spend some time in the pool, cooling off, and just join you guys here and there. Everyone has fun that way!:wizard: I hear you on the big weight gains and small losses. I just aim for some sort of loss each month. It is the best I can do and sometimes I cannot manage that. As quickly as you move I would think you would be able to outrun the calories. :goodvibes

JM, I am so sorry to hear about your poor dog. From your description it sounds like I feel most days. :sad2: Kids getting nekkid is a normal thing. It is abnormal to want to be fettered. Better now than at forty any old way. :dance3: Don't cha wish that our real lives had a delete and restore button? Glad you got your computer debugged. Have you heard of ccleaner? I use it often and it keeps my system running better. Love AVG for the bad stuff. It has caught a Trojan twice in recent days and it is FREE!

Bonz, sometime if you happen to be having a hard time renting your points let me know. I find that last minute works better for me nowadays. I cannot predict the future. Does it bug you to have to rent them out rather than use them yourselves? It would me.

Lisa, I must have misread your post. I thought you were thinking about DVC and decided against it. If I had bought in back when I first considered it would have been a good deal. My youngest grandson wants us to buy now cause he is good at math and has figured out that we are not likely to be able to use the whole 50 years and since he is the only Disney lover in our family he would inherit the balance. :rotfl: Big congratulations to you guys for being near to paying off your house and your vehicle. There is a sense of freedom that you will not believe. Aspen, what a lovely name, can call me any old time and read to me. Many do.

Timmie, my hair grows like a weed but it is not the texture that they would want. Mine is naturally curly. Did you see the show the other day about a woman who was wearing a real hair wig and it turned out it was from a foreign country and they took the hair off a cadaver? Sorry, I am a train of thought type person.:rotfl2:

M&N, did you help pick out the outfit? Do you have to put stuff for Sophia or is she one of those children who is not 'into' everything? I had one of each. :woohoo:

Have a bowling banquet to take Tom to this evening and want to plant cabbage and tomatoes today along with a few other things. Hope that does not bring snow, sleet and ice. :rotfl:

SG

I guess you can add me to your list. Mine's actually curly, not as curly as yours Kris. I just spend two hours straightening it!

Took Mozart to the vet. She thinks he has a tumor in his jaw. Surgery is out, he is almost 14. She wanted to do an x-ray, but I'm a little worried about any type of sedation and they would have to do just a little for the x-ray and then what does that tell us. Knew this has been coming, just never want it to. Oh, I dread the conversation with the husband tonight. Been afraid the last couple of years that he would be away when something would happen.

I hope everyone elses day is going better.

Melissa,
No warning needed Will is stick skinny too. I fear we will look like the number 10 walking together because I swear all the calories he intakes go into my body. I swear with ADHD it speeds up the motabolism as well as the thought process and body movement.
I am sure they will have fun sucking in their stomachs to see who's ribs stick out most. lol As for the nekkid part the important thing is that he only run around nude at home and not at TL. lol

I use Norton Internet security 09 for virus scan and have had not problems with viruses. I also don't open any attachments unless they are business related. I'm glad you got your computer fixed now.

2 hours for soarin, wow. I guess it's worth it to do for a newbie though and it sounds like you got a park buddy now. How far of a drive is it to the parks for you?

I am going to try to get to Epcot a day early to see the topiaries on the last day of F&W. I love that kind of stuff.
Just read about your poor doggie. I am sure he has been well loved the last 14 years and I am glad he is not in pain at least.

Lisa,

Bay lake points sound like a great idea. The only two I would be interested in is that or my favorite boardwalk. I doubt we would buy in though since we are content in the values and right now we like longer vacations anyway. DH doesn't believe in time share but he did tell me if I can come up with cash in full I could buy in. lol I should start saving now and blow his mind and tell him after I pay in full. That would take a while though.

M&N,
Your grandaughter is so beautiful in her Easter dress.

SG,
If you really want to stand out there I will drive past your place the end of May and we can coordinate a time if you like. It's only about 80 miles different to go your way than to drive through Illinois. If your up for it I will be there.

DH doesn't like water either so the pool is not going to happen. He thinks he is made of sugar. Seriously, you should see him run for shelter when it rains at the parks. It is a sad sight to see a grown man running, hunched over, with his hand over his head to sheild himself while his wife and child stand there laughing hysterically at him while saying "your melting, your melting."

Angela

Melissa, I am so sorry to read of Mozart's tumor. It is always so difficult when the time comes to make a decision based on comfort and quality of life..yet it tends to give us some peace to know we are loving them more than ever by keeping them comfortable.

I think you made a courageous decision about the x-rays...we would have made the same one.

We have 14 1/2 yr old and 16 yr old Maltese and for both of them have made the decision of quality vs quantity now. Both take Valium everyday to be comfortable and we assess as needed.

 to you. Hang in there..be gentle with yourself.

 to everyone else and thanks for the sweet words about Sophia. Must catch up with all the posts soon!!

SG we usually have some points to play with, let me know when you are ready for OKW (our home).

 for mozart...

I knew my "muffin top" was good for something!
.

and more !!! :hug::lmao:

its thursday... almost done packing.. checked... need to finish and luck luggage so I can put it in the car tonight so nobody sees me leaving Saturday.. or else.. neighbors will be out there asking where I am going again and will never hear the end of it :faint:

my hair is curly too and just like Mel it takes me hours to straight it.. but since it is thick... they use the volume and ignore the curliness

love it  Diva K!!!
