We're also planning for 9/09, not quite sure on dates yet. Can someone tell me, if I book now with AAA and receive whatever discount they give me, and then free dining comes out in April (if it does), do I still get the AAA discount (which I understood to be 15% off a deluxe in our case)? I thought I understood that you only receive the free dining and no other discounts, but when I contacted a different travel agency today, they said I should book through AAA instead because of their discount, even though I told them we wanted to go during free dining? What am I not understanding? At this point, we are planning on the Poly and we have 2 adults/1 child/1 infant, should I book room-only through AAA or a package or just go through Disney? Is the 15% off deluxe resorts for room-only or is that applied to a package? Sorry, I'm just confused and want to book and have the security of reservations! Thanks for letting me rant!

Welcome to the SEPT 09 disney travelers group. Thre are many schools of thought on those questions. 1st you can only get one discount, most people pick the free dining over the 15%-20% off you will get from AAA. at roughly $40.00 a day per adult you can see the meal is better for MOST people not all. Staying at the poly if you get a coupon or a code for 40% off your room then the room discount would be better. Are you confused yet no OK it does get worse. You could take the room and then add on the free dining when it comes out but at that point you will have to make it a package deal. room park tickets and the free dining. Still not confused you could always just start with the package from AAA then keep your eyes open for the discounts ,when AAA does your package only they can add or subtract for your package. I hope your confused by now because I'm starting to confuse myself. If I missed anything or left something out I know others will help you out. There is a great bunch of people here with one intrest DISNEY so you should pick up what is going on soon. Ask all the questions you need thats what everybody is here for to help and learn from each other.

It may be a little early but we just booked our Sept. 09 trip , we are trying to keep this a secret from the kids (my guess is this will last till Christmas ) Now I have the fun of aranging all the dinning and activities for the group . I am sure it will all work out right ..., so now we wait and hope for free dining

So, DH looked at me this morning and said "Let's go back to Caribbean Beach Resort!: We stayed there 10 years ago for our oldest son's first trip and I think he wants to stay there for our youngest's first trip!! I just looked at the pictures of the updated pool and it looks awesome!!

I am off to call Disney right now!!

I've always stayed at Pop! The first time we went as the kids picked it from all the values and we all loved it. It is newer than AllStars, so that's a plus. Pop doesn't share buses as many of other resorts dowhich is a plus AllStars stops at all 3 !The food court is awesome. Is busy in the morning but the rest of the day is fine ! Great gift shop, 3 pools our fav.is the Hippy Hoppy,Just got brand new mattresses on all beds this week. Check out the PopCentury threaad allthe info is on there .I feelit is very kid orientated . Feel free to ask any question you might have !!

I'm East of cleveland in Lake County so you know about the lake effect snow, but in about 380 days we'll be in Disney having fun . That seems like a long time when you see in written down.

I'm closer to Akron than Cleveland I hate the snow all the same. I never complain about the heat in the summer cuz the cold and snow feels like it lasts forever.LOL
