As for Katrina -- DH and I have decided that we're going to take a vacation to New Orleans as soon as the hotels are able to get back up and running. Donating now is important, but so is continuing to support an amazing area that thrives on tourism. The city will come back (as will the region) -- I have to believe it!

ITA! I had been thinking about heading down to New Orleans for a long weekend next spring and I still plan to! Have fun moving into your new house this weekend.

I too am having a hard time getting excited, and I have been planning this trip since January. We moved from New Orleans to AZ about 9 months ago. I cannot believe what I am seeing of my city!

23 days to go.

So Excited! 9 more days -- and we move into our new house this weekend -- so it will go by very quickly.

I'm leave in two days and I'm relying on my kids to keep me excited at this point, it's hard...

My husband and I were planning on a trip to New Orleans next year for our 20th anniversary. Not sure that will be possible- but I'll get there! They'll be back!

23 Days to takeoff. Staying at the All Star Sports Resort with free dining package. My first trip to Disney. I have read some of the posts and have watched the news about the Gulf Coast and the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The company that I work for sells minibar products to a several hotels New Orleans. God only knows if they are still standing..

It's finally September!!!

We changed our plans - instead of 9/20 - 25 at WL, we couldn't wait so we extended our trip to 9/16 - 25 at OKW and BCV.

Two weeks from tomorrow!!! Can't wait!

Will anybody be identifying themselves with a green ribbon? I tied one on all my stuff (stroller, backback, etc.) on my last trip (2003). I was really hoping to find other DISers who were also trying to label themselves as a DISer with a green ribbon.

Yes I will be using green ribbon on my packback! Mine is a more sheer ribbon in the center with smoother solid color on the outside it is the perfect color lime green as well!
