Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

hi all,
is there a most updated FE list available? the one I can find has lots of >??? on it?
doug and norah is their room 8036?
thank you !

still arranging, last minute details, checking everything for the second time.

leaving sunday morning on the SAPPHIRE princess to vancouver.

then on to the WONDER on tuesday.
hope to meet at the pan pacific monday.
Are others going the frugal route on this cruise, reducing excursions and having fun with out breaking the bank?
have you come up with any great plans in victoria, ensenada? vancouver?

please share.

The "DAY" has finally arrived!!!

John & Heather should be at the train station in San Diego by now....they may be the first ones "beginning the adventure"!!!

Sister arrived last night right on time at 10 (well right on time for plan B) but we stayed up till midnight :scared1: oh well - have a 24 hr train ride now so lots of time to sleep :)

Safe travels to all of you on your way today!!!!

So exciting to think some of us are already in transit!:banana:Although a waste of dancing bananas if John's not checking in :lmao:.

Glad it worked out with your sister's flight. Nothing like a little last minute stress to get the adrenalin pumping!!!

Oh what the heck...just a couple more...:banana::banana: !

We're arriving Monday night but probably too late for the Pan meet & greet. My request to leave work early on Monday hasn't been approved yet so still not sure when we'll actually get away! :confused3

We only booked the one excursion - in Ensenada. We're staying on the ship in Victoria - unless I get too homesick for my dogs and then I might bus home :rolleyes1

Lots of great things to do / see just walking around downtown Victoria - Museum, Empress Hotel, Chinatown (which is just one block so not time intensive ) depending on your interests.

booking a cruise onboard. do you know how much deposit that they require on a 7 day if you book it onboard?
thanks :)

I believe it's 10% of the total cost. We're planning on booking a dummy cruise to move to 2013 when the new itineraries come out so haven't been paying too much attention.

As for formal night, Steve is wearing a shirt and tie and I have even talked myself in wearing a dress (last time was probably my wedding in 98). I remember why too.....pantyhose! Terrible creations. If I wasn't almost luminescent with my pale white legs I would go without.

Ha, ha, DD :rotfl2:we'd all need sunglasses - it runs in the family. Hopefully will need some sunglasses while sailing in BC - isn't looking good right now - has been gorgeous for the last month except for the last couple of days.

I like the idea of spray tan - we can buy some while docked in Victoria and have a spray night. But then our luck we'd have orange legs.

:hippie:

Jergens Natural Glow is a good rub on tan...it activates slowly and isn't orange at all.

I have the palest skin ever and think I'm just gonna go with it this time. :rolleyes1

Trying to bring myself to start packing but am feeling rather overwhelmed... given that the weather will start out cool then (hopefully) warm up...seems so wrong to be packing gloves and a bathing suit!

Welcome!! Tell us a bit about yourself and traveling party..

My name's Natalie, age 25, been a disney fan since I went to Disneyland at the wee age of 3. I have two disney cruises under my belt: a 2005 Mexican Riviera Cruise and 2007 Bahamas cruise. My traveling companion is Bailee, age 23, never been on a cruise before but a big Disney fan. We'll be in room 7578

For those already travelling, or heading out in the next day or two; I hope you all have safe travels!

We will be leaving at the crack of dawn on Tuesday morning :)
Decided on a plan of attack for Jacob. Instead of trying to keep it all secret until we get into Vancouver, we are going to wake him up with the news so that he can be excited with us for the whole drive down there :) I think he will enjoy that much more, and then we have extra surprise for him in the car on the way down too.

Soooo excited, only 3 more sleeps!

I need to get DH and my things packed, bathroom stuff and try to fit in the FE gifts somewhere too, lol.

Crisis over....she was able to get on a 8 pm flt - arriving SJC at 10 pm....whew~

Glad to hear she made it.

We are on our way! I'm actually posting from the Parlour Car of the Coast Starlight about 30 minutes north of San Luis Obispo.

Brenda, Heather wants to know how many people are in your party total that will be on the train. Unfortunately, they won't let to Coach passengers forward of the dining car, but we can come back to where you are or meet in the Lounge car. (I guess they want to keep the riff-raff back in the cheap seats... ;)) We can have meals together tomorrow but it will take a little effort to coordinate the reservations for lunch and dinner. Breakfast doesn't require reservations...

So, I had my bags all packed for the trip, but once I got to Seattle, I wanted a specific coat that I was SURE I'd packed in my bag, but I couldn't feel it by just feeling around, so I dumped the entire bag upside down! LOL! But, I found it! :cool1: But now, I've got to pack the bag all up again! :sad2: LOL! And I still have to finish up the last of the FE gifts (I thought I'd NEVER get done with all of the wedding stuff to do as well as the FE's!!!) and then pack them up! We leave for Vancouver on Monday, so many of you will already be there! Make sure that sun is shining brightly on Monday when we get there, k?! :rotfl: We're going to Grouse Mountain, and I'd like nice and sunny, 80 degree weather when we get there. So, for all of you going before us, it's up to you to make that happen for us, k?! ;)

This is my last post.

We are looking forward to meeting DISers on the Coast Starlight, Amtrak Cascades, and the pre-cruise meet at Pan Pacific Hotel.

Safe travels everyone.
