That is a good question about how we can all meet one another. I wonder if deciding on a place and time would be the way to go. Another thought, how much of a hassle would it be to come up with some sort of ribbon color we could all wear during the duration of the cruise that would identify us as fellow DIS'ers.

Would love more thoughts on this.

What time are you all thinking of getting in line to board the ship? I know the question has been asked before (see the two pages of replies), but for the rest of us...what are your thoughts? Does any one know how early we can get in line and when the cast begins the check in process- the times I've seen posted vary.

For us first time cruisers, I don't know how we're going to recognize eachother or other people who have been leaving posts. I'll try and think of some thing. Right now my eldest two are surrounding me and I'm lucky to be typing complete sentences.

Does that help with the color question?

I plan on being in line early! I know I have read that 10-10:30 the terminal opens, then boarding can vary but about mid day (12pm) is when some of the first guests are allowed to embark.

We plan on being there at 10 or 10:30. I read that's when the terminal opens. I like the idea of picking a color to recognize other DISers. lime green sounds OK. We should all be able to find something, a ribbon or something, that is that color.
I got an email today saying my docs were sent 2 day Fed Ex. I should have them by Thursday. Yay!!!

We recieved our documents in the mail a few days ago! We can start getting excited that our cruise is finally just over the horizon. I hope that all of these storms get out of our way. It will be great meeting all of you. I'll be looking for the lime green!

It sounds like the green ribbon or the alien green mickey mouse ears from home depot (I am headed there this morning!) would be a great way for everyone to recognize each other.

How exciting. Still wish I had docs though, TA said they are coming.

I'm hoping to get to port as soon as possible, however will have to depend on the Disney Transfer bus to get us there. My plans are to be at the airport terminal to meet them by 9:30 - 10:00 AM on Sunday. We are getting in the night before and will be staying at a hotel (will be using priceline to bid on hotel).

The drills usually only last a max of 30 min...

we set sail at 4:30 or 5? I've seen both times, and am confused by this....

ESPN place maybe??? or in front of it??? We would all be on the right deck for the sail away party if we did that (NEver miss the P-A-R-T-Y lol)

Lime green it is! That was a great idea and it was so simple! I'll ask my mother-in-law to get the paint samples from Home Depot so we can put them on our shirts or bags some how. I might even get creative today and make lime green hair bows for the girls. Can't wait to ID you DISers out there!

Sorry to post again but, if we get in line any time before we are allowed to board the ship...what about the kids??? My kids start to go bonkers after twenty minutes. Are the t.v.'s in the terminal? Any suggestions would be helpful- hint hint. Being a first time Disney cruiser I'm kind of confused.

Lime green it is. I'm sure we'll see each other in the terminal, but if we don't I think setting a meeting place would be great. Since the sail away party is by the goofy pool why not meet at the stage end of the pool between 5 and 5:30? Does that sound OK to everyone?

From what I've read, there is lots to look at at the terminal.... cartoons, a model of the ship, and all the people! LOL My kids are busy kids so I am sure one of us will be holding our place in line while the other goes on multiple walks and looks around! Plus they will have their travel bags with them (some goodies that I've gotten for them for the ride down to FL).

Well, I just spoke to the TA (Sam'sClub) and they said our docs were mailed out on Aug 30th, so they should be arriving SOON! I'll keep you posted!

Did everyone else hear about tomorrow's 3night Wonder sailing? They are still set to sail, but will not be going to any ports! They will issue a $ 300.00 stateroom credit to each stateroom, though, for the inconvenience! That sure would come in handy & would be a great reason to book another cruise!

I sure hope nothing keeps us from sailing/making ports, but I did hear there may be another storm forming futher out so we'll have to keep a close eye on that one. Maybe since ours is a 4night, we would get a 400.00 credit???? As much as I would hate to miss CC, I just want to be on the ship!

So, do you just go to the paint section of Home Depot & ask for the paint chips? Guess I'll have to make a stop there in the next few days.

Just spoke to my sister (she's cruising with us) in Jupiter (just north of West Palm Beach) and she is unsure of what they are going to do as of right now. They planned to go to her in-laws (in Sebring~not exactly sure where that is~I think closer to the Western Florida Coast), but if it were to cut across (as Charley did in the opposite direction) they would be right in the storms path, too.

Those poor people in Florida! Poor Castaway Cay! We may not want to go there in a couple of weeks, anyway, if it hits directly like it's supposed to! Anyone else have any thoughts on this????

Hey everyone less than 3 weeks! Yippee!
I have decided against getting a room at Comfort Suites or Atlantis, as the weather looks like good chances of hurricanes. If we skip Nassau all together it would not bother me a bit! LOL It would do well to have a stateroom credit! I cant believe they are giving that much to the wonder sailers.
There is alot to look at in the terminal, I forgot who asked. Also characters will come out occasionally to help pass the time. It really is not that bad, as they do not let you in until about 1030, and once you check in and get in line it is closer to 11. Then, though officially I think boarding is at 1or 2? They let you on between noon and 1230 !
Forgive me I am too lazy to go back and check to see who all is "here" so can we get a simple check in from everyone again? I will start a list

Can't believe it's less than three weeks. Just got a call from TA saying docs are in, she asked if I wanted them mailed or would I prefer to pick up, no-brainer, pick up of course! I want those docs in my hands as soon as possible.

Figures, I just booked the Comfort Suites yesterday so we can do Atlantis. However, I can cancel up until 4pm on the 18th, so will just keep a good eye on the weather. Hope all goes well.

Just another check in, my family of four will be on cruise, DH (36), myself (36), DD 11 & DS 8.

There is me Patty, 43 Misti, in her 30's and my granddaughter Dominique 4 this is her 1st cruise and mine and Misti's 2nd disney cruise.

It will be next week sometime before we get our documents.
Doing the anxious dance... TA doesnt have them yet. They are in the main office in the Northeast and they are going to be mailed down to NC by Sat at the latest and then on to us after that. So, hopefully by Tues, we will have them.
