Well, just wanted to check in! I've volunteered to input names of missing/found loved ones into a new database that being composed from all of the other databases out there for Katrina victims. Oh man my bff and I went to the Swarovski store today and I saw what will be on the top of my Christmas list.

Our state is taking in several hundred (300?) or so hurricane victims. They're being housed at the Indiana State Fair grounds. The fair grounds are East of where I am (about an hour).

My youngest DD's b-day is tomorrow. Kimi's been walking around saying she's 3 already. Kimi picked out her cake mix and icing. She chose the funetti cake and matching sprinkles icing. Now if only I had eggs to bake the cake. LOL!

I heard on the news last night that Oregon is taking around 1000 hurricane victims. I think every state should help out. I love to hear about all the reunions. It's such a tragedy it's nice to see some light at the end of all this darkness.

I agree, every state should help out. I'm so glad your state (OR) is lending a helping hand. We truly are part of a great nation.

Glad to hear your states are helping out too. I haven't officially heard of any down in our part of the state, but it does seem like TX reached it's limit quite a while back. Originally it was supposed to be only 75,000, but the last report I heard was more than 240,000! That's ALOT of new Texans!! In the end, I'm sure we'll have alot who will decide to just start over here in TX, instead of going back to their home states.

T: You asked the other day if we had gotten rain. YIPPEE!! My grass is looking better now. We've gotten a little rain pretty much every day since last Wednesday. Every little bit helps. Looks like there's a good chance we'll get more over the next few days because there's a little tropical wave sitting in the Gulf that will bring rain our way.

Gotta go!

too bad my state can't add another zero to our number. Our state governement is kind of screwed up any way. No need to let more people suffer our government woes if any decide to stay. Indiana is home, but its not where my heart is any more.

Well, looks like I'll be getting a visit from Tropical Storm Ophelia this weekend. Its been raining buckets all day and it looks like tropical depression # 16 will strengthen and glide up the Florida coast and directly into Flagler County where I live. Last report here said they expect winds of about 70mph by the time it gets to Flagler. That's just below a Cat 1 hurricane. Maybe she'll change her mind and go out to sea? Hopefully she won't change course and go into the Gulf. They definately need NO MORE rain!!!!! We'll see what mother nature decides. I'll be watching NOAA site.

Well it looks like fall is finally coming. I know that I wanted the summer to get here so I could wear all my cute summer clothes that had been collecting dust, but now I am SSSOOOOOOO done with the heat. I want rain and cold. I want hot chocolate, warm oatmeal for breakfast, candy corn, fuzzy sweaters, roaring fires, turkey dinners, christmas carols, christmas trees, twinkling lights and mad shopping sprees for that all too important gift. I WANT WINTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got the docs for my 9/18/05 cruise yesterday!!! WOOOOO HOOOO!!!!

But the scary thing is that my parents docs haven't come yet!!!! Will be calling my TA tomorrow!!!
