Howdy everyone,
This will be my last post until 12/8/08 because after today I wont be near a computer and then on saturday I will be on the Magic:woohoo: :woohoo:

If I get the chance I may post once from the ship but we usually dont have time to worry about getting on line when we are cruising.

Today I pack, make pies for tomorrow. Leave early tomorrow for DDs house (115 miles away) for Thanksgiivng, then on to MIL's house in Potland to spend the night since she is only 40 minutes from the airport.
Friday we leave her place at 3:30 a.m. for a 6 a.m. flight to Florida. Will spend the night at the Hyatt, then get on the DCL bus as early as we can and head for the port:yay: :yay: :yay:

Have a great Thanksgivng everyone and I will post when we return.

Kathy

Have a great cruise Kathy!!
Tell all the Nana heads I say "hello!"

Have a great Holiday and a Magical cruise

The only other major news on this end is that about a week and a half ago I got into a car accident (no injuries to anyone...so no need to worry) and my insurance company decided my car is a total loss and not worth fixing....so I had 10 days to find a new car, but it, and take possession!! :scared1: So my big Thanksgiving festivity is that Jason is getting out of work early today (i have had this entire week off work) and we're going to pick my my brand new (to me, anway) car: a white 2007 Volkswagon Jetta with only 4500 miles on it, sunroof, and power everything. It was a steal and is quite an upgrade from my previous car (a 2001 base model power nothing Kia Spectra). So I guess I'm making my proverbial lemonade from my proverbial lemons!! :woohoo:

Erik - I was wondering where you went!!! Sorry to hear about the accident but so glad that you are okay. After working through all that, I can see how you are excited about the new car!!! Sounds very cool.

Will spend the night at the Hyatt, then get on the DCL bus as early as we can and head for the port:yay: :yay: :yay:

Kathy - Have a great holiday and enjoy your trip!!!! I'm so jealous - have to wait until this TA to cruise again!

HP

I don't dress either, enjoy the movies but yet to find a non-sexy plus size costume. We are good, LOL

Pj

To be fair I didn't realise quite how indecent my costume was on the WB cruise until I went to wear it to Mickey's halloween! Going to wear a tshirt under it to hide the bust a bit and wore shorts last time with it anyway (knee length) so assuming my size doesn't change too much it will be the same outfit

I decided to splurge and ordered a Wii for DH for Christmas!
It came in yesterday. It was SO hard not giving it too him right then and there!
Our anniversary is on Sunday, so I was tempted to give it to him for that, but I really want to see his suprise when he opens it Christmas morning.

I will be doing my wrapping on Friday, so the temptation to give it early will hopefully diminish.

lol I think we might be opening ours early! Im far too excited to wait until Christmas and it arrived today!

That sounds like fun! I would be tempted to give the gift early too. I did most of my shopping online so I just have to wait for everything to come in, but going out tomorrow for a few hours. We are seeing Bolt 3-D on Thursday at 4:30! Hopefully it won't be too crowded. Have a great Thanksgiving to everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Youll have to let us know what its like! Dont think we're getting it this side of the pond till next year and it looked so so good! If it had come out when we were over last month we would have seen it but missed it!

I fell asleep during it.

It's definitely not a little kids' movie (IMO). We couldn't figure out who the target audience was. I'd put it at likability with Ratatouille. Not as good as CARS, NEMO...

Thanks for this! I love Ratatouille so guess its going to be good. Don't know how long we have to wait over here mind

Even though you probably wont see this have a great trip and stay safe!

OK I have to rant. Dan just checked when BOLT is being released over here and its not until February 13th! ARRRRGG Well I guess that's valentines day sorted lol

I'll guess that makes us twins; I've got a white 2007 Jetta Wolfsburg edition, auto/ power, sunroof, heated "leatherette" seats. I've put on 12,000 miles in the 19 months I've driven it on a 3-year lease. That 4500 is wonderful. No problems and a fair amount of get up and go when you punch the gas. I get 21 mpg around town, 27 on the road. Good luck. I'd like it a whole lot more if the dealer had a better service department. In our town, Honda does that job best and is closest to home.

Happy Thanksgiving

That stinks!
I really want to see Bolt. I think we are going to try and catch it in a few weeks on our Christmas shopping weekend. I don't really need to shop, so we have time!

At least you get first dibs on Doctor Who! We are all very envious in our house :goodvibes

Sarah, here's my Georgie girl. In this picture, she had just been bathed and groomed. Normally, she has lots of feathers on her belly, tail, and paws. So cute!

Lynne, thanks for the update on Bolt. Sorry you slept through it.

Eric, glad you're back  .

There is someone out there with a Brent fixation; they have him as their avatar. Can you spot him behind the dancing characters?

I really enjoyed hearing his morning greeting of "Good morning ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, this is Brent, your cruise director..." Unfortunately on my cruise, that usually meant a change in port of call, sea day vs port day, cancellation of water craft activities on CC, etc... What was worse, however, was hearing the "when you wish upon a star" tune, expecting to hear Brent, and then hearing Captain Thor come on. And he would ramble on in a very slow, monotonous tone. It was as though he wanted to talk to someone and was afraid they would run away if he stopped talking. (Perhaps like this post.)

That's so funny 'cause that's exactly how I felt when he came on. I couldn't believe how he could drag on. Unfortunately, it was so bad that I would just tune out what he was saying.
