Thanks, Sarah. Now, I love DH, but I'm keeping that one to myself :rotfl2: .

Dan says also go for the targets at the back as they are worth more and in the last game nail the ones coming out of the tunnel (youll understand when you see it)

Hadley - I so glad that your news looks good. I will continue to keep my fingers crossed for you that everything gets finalized!!!

Good morning everyone,

just dropping by to say hello.
We dont have snow yet, but it is very cold and lots of very dense fog everywhere.
I am going to go back and read the pages I missed.

Have a great day everyone,

Kathy

Good morning fellow disers!

Right now it is 41 degrees here going up to 50.
We had frost this morning but the sun is shining bright! Looking outside from, the kitchen it looks like a nice but cold day. I really shouldn't complain because I am originally from Syracuse, NY(snow capital of the states, 196 inches last year!!!). Talked to my sister this am and 4" on the ground and 21 degrees she sent me a picture. I am not complaining.

Pam, if you would like to pm(or call me, pm me with you phone # if you would like) when you get to Wmsbg I can answer any questions you might have regarding the area. It is a pretty area to visit any time of the year.

Karenpirate:

I am a transplant to Maryland from Rome, NY. Not that far from Syracuse. Right now I am sitting at my desk in Alexandria, Va and is 37 degrees with snow flurries. I do miss the snow and I moved down here in 1973.

I just wanted to check in with everyone. I start my new job tomorrow then I am off on a 4 night on the Independence of the seas. One day of work then a vacation--not bad :rotfl:

Have a great week and I will "talk" to you all next week.

What a great schedule:thumbsup2 Have a great time on your trip.

Mary, have a great trip!!!! :)

Hadley, yay!!!! I'm very happy for you and Dave! Will you have to move?

Thank you and EVERYONE who has been wishing us well and crossing hteir fingers for Dave. We will have to move. We love:love: New Hampshire--but this move would be AWESOME, so it will be good. I promise to post ASAP when it is set in stone as to where--I am totally paranoid and afraid of jinxing it if I post--yes I know I am ridiculous, but I/we want this sooo badly and i am so afriad to get my hopes to high in spite of every good indication:confused3

Yeah Dave!

Justthe8ofus - Have fun at Target on your first day and enjoy your cruise. I am jealous. I would love to take a little Christmas cruise :)

Mailing my stockings for the troops today. We had fun at Target!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and it is fun to learn where everybody has lived or lives now. I am originally from NJ, moved to CA, then to AZ and now FL! Loved every place - but FL is the best!

We are finally "on the road" sort of... We are in OR this week, then will go to WA next week for Thanksgiving with family and then we will really, officially be RVing.:yay: Our plan is to head south and then east. No schedules, no specific destination (except DL and WDW of course!), just seeing the sites of the country and visiting with family and friends along the way. :cloud9: We will keep you updated on our whereabouts and if anyone wants to do a minimeet we are up for that! :goodvibes

I completely understand about being paranoid and jinxing it! Let us know when it all works out!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Guess what? It finally snowed today! Well...not snowed as much as flurried, but it was really nice! I love snow!!!! :)

Hi Angie,
we are looking forward to our minimeet on saturday:woohoo:
See you then,

Kathy

Karen, we too are transplanted NYers (in VA over 20 years), but from Queens and Brooklyn, not *OMG* snowy Syracuse. You reminded me of one of the reasons we moved!

Williamsburg is beautiful, Pam, and so historic. Do a little tourism if you can.

It is one of my reasons too that I moved. I have to go home the first part of January for my nephews' Eagle Scout court of honor and I am dreading the snow. The only good thing is that I go home on the 2nd and then on the 5th I head to WDW to spend my birthday with Mickey(12 wonderful days!!)

I will pm you with my phone number and you can send me yours. Not sure if we will have alot of time to sight see, but I am keeping my fingers crossed. All depends on how early we can get away from here Friday morning. Anything you can recommend that I try to see would be greatly appreciated.

I am a travel agent and love to travel and be able to tell my clients about locations when they ask. Since this is one place I have not been to before, I hope I can have a little time to look around.

Just a quick shout out. Things are still in a bit of turmoil here...Kel has sent out about 100 resumes...no bites yet. She will probably not hear anything until after the holidays. On the up side, we got an offer from the insurance company....for about half of what we are owed (but this is progress.)

We had snow here this morning...enough for snowballs but not a snowman...DD was excited to wear her new boots to school (making sure to walk on the grass in the snow.) We got our wood for winter delivered yesterday...my back is a bit tight, but I am warm and cozy.

I hope everyone is well and best wishes and pixie dust to all who are struggling.:wizard:

I got a Barcelona book from the library and dug out my old high school Spanish books. We should definitely set up a meet for those of use arriving a day or 2 early.

We'll have to go out for some deep dish Chicago pizza!

YUM! Our DS makes a very good deep dish Chicago pizza. When he was a teenager I want to Chicago for a conference and he asked me to bring him a Chicago pizza. Well....nope, I was not going to carry a pizza on the plane from Chicago to Portland. But I did buy him a cookbook of Chicago pizzas. :thumbsup2 He made one and it was yummer! He makes the dough, sauce and everything from scratch and his pizzas are the hit of potlucks everywhere he goes. :goodvibes

We are excited to meet you also! :yay:

As you say, Captain! We may have Vegas on our return route in the spring. :woohoo: We shall see where the MH leads us! popcorn::

Laura, please keep us updated on your area. It's a funny thing; you hear about the fires, but it's kind of abstract until you know someone who's impacted by it.

Hi Joanne

The fires were at their worst on Saturday and Sunday. The ash on the ground is horrible but what can you do. Our office was never in danger thank goodness and all seems to be well for now. However, I have noticed that many people are coughing and sounding a bit hoarse so I think it has gotten to all of them. I, myself, am either coming down with Bronchitis or the ash has gotten to me. My oldest DD (she has asthma) seems to be doing ok but she was smart enough to stay indoors all weekend.

Thank you to all that sent a prayer out our way - it was really needed.

Got to go and pick up DD at her soccer practice. It was cancelled yesterday due to the air quality but I guess it wasn't today so things are much better. Had an acquaintance that had some minor damage to her house but she is counting herself lucky as she lives with her elderly parents. Not too much more cosmetic which is something that she can live with.

OK folks, take care, Cpt Jack - hows the weather up there? DH, the girls and I are considering taking a small run up there this weekend. I've been bitten by the antsy bug and DH wants to enter some poker tournaments as he's been on a bit of a run lately. My bank account is a bit heftier now so its burning a hole in my pocket. Time to go shopping :woohoo:

Pam, you got to set aside some time for Williamsburg! you won't be sorry! I wish I could live there.

OMG! Got to fly - the JR royal highness will be left waiting out in the cold - per say as it has been hot the last couple of days. Today was only 87 compared to yesterday's 92 but since its winter - it doesn't feel like a 92 degree summer day. Still, I'm sitting here in a sleeveless shirt and capri pants. Doesn't Mother Nature know that its almost winter? I want some cold.

Did anyone detect a pattern here? And, yes, it snowed very briefly here today, too.

So glad to hear that things are improving for you all. I have a deathly fear of fire (having set myself on fire w/matches at 18 mos old), so what you're having to endure really scares me.

And I'm sure the rest of us would like to send you some cold and snow :rotfl: .
