Now , on the West Coast it has been a tradition for the last 2 years and this one coming up will be the third DIS meet in March ...It will be March 14th at Disneyland ....We still havent decided if this was going to be in the park or out of the park due to wether or not the majority wanted to meet in or out :confused3 Last year we had , I think 30 some people and we all went to BB for dinner and was great , even went for a ride on POTC , Cause thats what Pirates do (and I will let someone else tell the story about that lol ) and we are a bunch of Pirates right .... So once again

Pirates DIS meet in WDW Dec 21st (Sunday)

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!

OK Reeses peanut buttercups I agree with! Luckily in the UK they are finally actually selling them! And oreo cookies.

Never had anything but pudding in Taco Bell but DBF wants to try it so were going to

I love Cherry Bakewells. Gutted you cant get them there. Ill bring some over with me if I get a chance

there's got to be something lost in translation here.....pudding in Taco Bell??? Never heard of them serving pudding. Are you speaking of the sweet custard pudding? Or does pudding mean something else to you?

Anybody else feel like they would like to be walking through this doorway this morning:goodvibes
I do!!!

This will be my 3rd Disney cruise and I have never seen this. All my cruises have been repos bringing the Magic home. I have yet to experience the Disney terminal at Port Canaveral, other than the customs side of it.

We are arriving on the 27th but going to Vero Beach. We will be in WDW staying at SSR Dec 4-7th than home where are you heading after the cruise maybe a meet on the 6th we are planning (subject to change) on going to Epcot on the 6th.

That wont work for us, we will be flying back right after the cruise.:sad1:
Oh well, it was worth asking about anyway.
Hope you have a great time at the parks,

Kathy

We had so much fun on the segeways, we'll ge doing it again. We learned more about the city on this tour than any of the other ones we took and once we got out of the narrow streets they took them off slow and let us go as fast as we wanted! We even got to go down a small flight of stairs. DH loved the part when we went to the beach (you know about their beaches, correct?) The company is Barcelona Glides

Thanks for the website. I'm bookmarking for future reference. Definitely thinking of doing this.

But FYI, the link isn't working, I had to type it in myself. I think you've got an extra http in your link.

Ingredients for bakewell tart

For the pastry
170g plain white flour
pinch Salt
75g unsalted Butter

For the filling and topping
170g strawberry or raspberry jam
110g unsalted Butter
110g vanilla sugar
110g ground almonds
4 egg yolks
3 egg whites
1 tsp bitter almond extract
handful flaked almonds
fresh cream, to serve

Method of cooking

1. Combine the flour and salt in a large bowl. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.

2. Stir in enough iced water to bring the mixture together into a smooth dough. Roll the pastry out to line a 23cm tart tin and chill for 30 minutes, or until required.

3. Preheat the oven to 200C/Gas 6. Spread a layer of jam generously over the tart base.

4. Melt the butter and continue to heat until it smells nutty.

5. Whisk together the sugar, ground almonds, egg yolks, egg whites and almond extract.

6. Pour in the hot butter and whisk until smooth.

7. Spoon the mixture over the jam.

8. Transfer the tart to the oven and bake for about 30 minutes, until lightly browned and just set, scattering the flaked almonds over the tart after 25 minutes so that they get a chance to brown slightly.

9. Remove from the oven and leave to cool for about 20 minutes. Serve warm with fresh cream.

Its much nicer than the factory produced stuff. Bakewell where it originated is only about 35 miles from here.

Link fixed, thank's for letting me know.

We are in!! I put the deposit down and we are so excited! I will have to pick the brains of everyone who has been before with all my questions. Hopefully it won't be too annoying;) We are going to Mickey's Trick or Treat party at California Adventure tomorrow, I will link to a trip report for anyone who is interested when I get it done. Disneyland has been crazy crowded lately and it will be hot (it is 94 today, but only supposed to be 88 tomorrow :scared1:) We are a family of 4 Me, DH, DD (will be 12 at time of the cruise) and DD (will be 9 at the time of the cruise) We are excited to meet everyone and I LOVE the website. I will try to figure out how to post on the roll call. Now I have to go and finish a Peter Pan and Wendy costume for tomorrow:thumbsup2

We will walk through that door in 3 days.

Woody

Rub it Mister! Hope you have a grand time and enjoy cruising with my New Jersey sisters! :grouphug:

Do you remember how much the segway tour was? Can kids get one too? My kids will be 9 and 13 at the time of the cruise. This looks like so much fun!

I worked in EPCOT at the Rose & Crown from Sept 03-04. I did the International Programme. It was fantastic!

I love the Rose & Crown! Whenever we go to WDW we always make an ADR for 7:30 or 8 and try and get a table outside to watch Illuminations from.

Remind me closer to the cruise and I will bring bakewells, aren't they just a joy, about to eat one with my late morning coffee.

I'm jealous! Luckily I have a friend coming from the UK in February so I'll get him to bring some over if he has room in his suitcase. For a while we could get them here as Mr Kiplings were being made in Australia, but that was a good few years back now. Sigh...
