Seriously, wow. I definitely chose the right crew, I think... now we had just better get a room when I call in on Tuesday!

(And then, honestly, how do you all plan on lasting 2 years?!?! I'm excited NOW! )

Ok cool....well if this group decides that group lanyards are something they'd like to do.....I did the lanyards for the recent Double Dip and they were a big hit.....so I'd consider, with help from some of my other TA buddies, doing it again....although how to GET the lanyards to Barcelona will be an issue. (We shipped them to Orlando for the recent trip btu shipping to Barcelona woudl be a whole other issue I'm sure. Can you even ship things to yourself at hte port in Barcelona the way you can in Port Canaveral??)

Eric, I am totally in - you did an amazing job on the ones for our double dip - in fact its sitting here on my desk reminding me of better days (than being at work)

We are transferring our current Cat 7 ressies...but we're going to price Cat 6 to see if the difference is too too huge...because 24 days on the Magic without a "real" verandah might not be to our liking if we can afford it!!

As for the ship filling up...who knows....I think there was initially a LOT of interest when people thought it was in August----but even on this thread I think once it was clear the last Med and the crossing were both going to be in Sept.....lots of that interest dwindled-----but as far as I'm concerned that is ideal!!!

If you transfer a ressie that has a lower deposit amount, do you have to pay the additional dep at the time you book?

sadly, yes!

We were able to book BOTH our onboard ressies for a total deposit of $500 but in order to transfer those two 7 day cruises to cover the last Med and the crossing....we have to pay an additional $1900 for the deposits!!

Thank you for the Compliment , as far as the rooms , No , I do not think this will even get close to selling out ....I think there will be deals galore come June of 2010 .. And my trusted TA has my floating ressies to turn them into the 10 day Med and then this 14 day TransAtlantic , so the only thing I am doing on Tuesday of next week is watch you guys talk about if you got through to DCL or not or if the DCL website crashes

Hopefully your day won't be as stressfull as mine was back in '07. I was trusting my TA to get my cabin for the PC cruise. Kept watching the thread all day seeing everyone complain about the long hold times, the website crashing and getting lost on hold. I was getting frustrated with all the people saying they were booking online while their TA was booking with DCL for them, esentially booking double rooms and driving up the price for everyone else. I didn't hear from my TA until close to 3pm and luckily she got me in the exact cabin I asked for and at Tier 1 pricing! But still I think my day was just as stressful as if I had been trying to call DCL myself.

This time around I will be calling DCL. I haven't transferred my floater to a TA. I'm going to hold on to it myself and shop around for a TA later to see who is offering the best OBCs.

If you use a TA do you have to pay the full deposit? Can anyone recommend a TA to use? I have a dummy week that I wish to move and I also want to book a back to back and try and get the same room.

It's only 6 months longer than we had to wait for the EBPC Repo and in hindsight it did go rather quickly. A couple of the things that made it go quickly were doing research on the ports and spending time here on the DIS getting to know others.

We're sticking with a cat 9 - had no problems with it while on the EBPC Repo, especiall given the amount of time we actually spent in the room was very little.
