WB Repo prices and ports are GREAT. I will book it for now and make a real decision some time later. No telling what we'll be doing 2 years from now. Might be in a year round school and this might work. Or might be homeschooling. Who knows?

I'm thinking the same thing! Well, except about the year round school / homeschooling... :rotfl:

Now it's just a matter of seeing if it will be me or Johanna booking the room next Tuesday. Oh wait, I don't have a job and it won't be as early here - guess it's me on the eternal phone call...

But this does mean we have some extra celebrating to do this week in SF!!

 :woohoo:

Has anyone heard if the deposits will still be 50% off?

I think I saw that the promotion is on through the end of Oct. Doesn't work for me though because it applies to online booking. I have a floater that I want to transfer to the repo, so I have to call.

Oh well no transatlantic for me.

I will try to do last Baltic & then the Relo to Barcelona & then maybe the first 11 night Med ooooh it would be better then the EB!:cool1:

Kids wont miss school either!:yay:

Well I just called and was told the deposits for the 10 night Med and the WB TransAtlantic will be $600pp for each one. That is the full deposit. She said the 50% off is ending at the end of the month so I am guessing it will apply to these bookings since they will be on the 14th....she was not sure.

Update.... 50% off ends at the end of October and will apply towards the 2010 bookings made this month!!!

Thanks for checking.

Still not sure how it will affect me though since I will be calling to switch a floater that I booked onboard. I think I may just add on to my existing deposit anyway, just because.

Hi everyone,
From what I gathered on other threads, the 50 percent off the deposit is for online bookings, and if you call in, the full amount of the deposit will apply. I just haven't decided which one to do....:confused3

I really want to do the Westbound TA but there is no way the kids can miss 2 weeks of school. What a shame.

I am in the same boat -- can't take the girls out of school in September, so unfortunately we won't be booking this one . . . I really enjoyed the transAtlantic last year -- all those days at sea in a row fell into the lazy sensation of a beach vacation rather than feeling rushed as we often do with so many ports. You can really enjoy the ship with so many days at sea.

i think im in. im thinking about doing the 24 night cruise. i was really thinking about doing northern europe but with the baltic being an outrageous price for only 12 nights. i could do the 24 night for about the same cost.

I am totally game - I just printed all the options off. Yes, Kimmy I think I elect you to stay on perma hold as I will have to be at work (well not till 8 am pt). Lots to talk about tomorrow night (T-minus 24 hours until your arrival). Why do I have this feeling I will be worthless this week at work and hungover every morning.

Now time to save save save. Maybe I can make this work that I will be moved to Orlando by then so I won't have an extra leg from Orlando to SFO. Now I have a reason to get my rear in gear and start getting things in order to sell my place some time next year.

ETA: By the way if you watch the video clip, part of me appears (right half) around 1:48-1:51 making pasta (well actually my hands are in my pockets and in a navy top with the white apron).

Actually, you might wanna try talking to your principal , I talked to Destins just on the hint that the repo would fall during this time and he was not at all to concerned about Destin being out of school for that time , but as long as there might be a trip report he may have to do and maybe a presentation of his Adventure ... So for us we are good to go .... So before you say no you might wanna talk to the school , where there is a will there is a way

I think the school would give permission but ED will be doing her GCSEs that year and I don't think she will be capable of missing that amount of work and still doing well:sad2:

Hi Everyone,

I am game for the WB TA and possibly the 10 day Med.:woohoo: I can see myself cruising for 24 days!:boat: I wonder how much the price difference will be travelling solo as compared to traveling with my family. My sister(reenieny) cannot go, it will be the start of my nephew Daniel's senior year in high school.

Oh well I am still booking!

Yes, but Destin starts school in Sept so he'll just miss a few weeks at the beginnig. We start in mid-August so to take Trevoy out in September, he would have already gotten into the swing of things. Plus he'll be in high school then and probably playing football.

But, like I keep saying, I'm booking now and just seeing what comes up in the next 2 years.

You cant let me be going to brave the weird and Haunted shores of the TransAtlantic all by me onesies ... Your sense of Macabre has to come and Help us through what awaits at worlds end ...

So there !!!!
:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Count us out. Repo's won't work because of school, and ours is like Trevoy's....starts early August.
I liked the looks of the Northern European...but for 3 of us in a Cat 5 it would cost a minimum of $15,600 !!! :scared1: :scared1:

Personally, I think DCL should have held off on this until they had at least one other ship up and running. DID YOU HEAR ME, DCL???

I just couldn't do it . . . sorry, Todd, but we will sail again on another adventure, I am sure!pirate:

Ok, I will be there! I can't swing the cruise before it though.... Im looking at taking back to back to back Med, Barcelona to Dover and First Baltic, then taking a nice break and returning for this cruise. The ports look awesome! I just don't want to figure out what all that would cost but it looks awesome!

OMG~ y'all talk too much unless you all changed the title! ;)

OK looks like the repo is the way to go. Haven't actually looked at anything else but sounds like the way to go. Since our year end is Sept 30. May not do it with DH, but may take my oldest DD who should be out of college by then - maybe it can be a graduation gift!

Ok on to ketchup a bit.
