As far as entertainment is concerned, was John Charles on board for any of the other TA or PC cruises? We saw him on the Double Dip two weeks ago and he was great!

He was on the PC EB repo - we enjoyed his show very much, much better than some of the other entertainment... OMG Darin Romeo... if I hadn't been in the middle of a row, I would have escaped that one!

Hello fellow disers! I will be on the Wonder on Sunday and I am thinking about booking one of the TAs for 2010 while on board. What made you pick this one? What will the weather be like? I like the ports on this one but, I am not sure about taking the kids out of school for 2 weeks. The kids get one week off in April so they would only miss one week on that one. Thanks for any imput!!:)

We picked this over the east bound due to the weather in the UK being a little more settled in September. We have family there and will probably go a week or so early and spend it with them first.

Also it gives us something to look forward to after winter - better than coming home to winter if we do the EB.

ATTENTION ATTENTION

The New Cruise logo banner has been reposted to the front page ...there are 4 actual size's but only 3 are of correct size for your signature Line ....Please replace old skull logos with new ones please

Hey, I LOVE your fancy changing one! :thumbsup2

Update; I've got a handicapped cat. 11!!! :thumbsup2 Downside; it's on the Eastbound TA and I prefer the Westbound one. So, tomorrow next round of hoping for pixiedust. Had the best CM ever and he gave me some great tips and tricks to uptimize my chances of getting one on the Westbound. Come on luck, let me get lucky one more time. :)

I'm so glad you got one on A cruise at least! I hope you can get into this WB instead, maybe you've even done so already as I read along! :wizard:

Thanks!

Just thinking about it makes me hungry!

Oooh, me too! I'd love an extra dinner at Palo! :cloud9:

Actually you are allowed to buy alcohol in ports and bring onboard for consumption , DCL is one of the Very few that allow this to happen .. I would have had a larger bar bill then I already had , had I not brought and bought a lot of "RUM" when we first got on and then in the ports on The PC and the TA ...As far as how much and if there is a limit , I dont know

pirate:

Yes you are! We brought in plenty of Kalik from the Bahamian cruises! :thumbsup2

Ahoy, Mates!

Hey fellow Buckeye! :goodvibes

They had a movie they showed one night, Boyz to Men, Jim Brickman (?), and a fabulous stage show and I forget the name of it. I will look in my navigators.

I would have LOVED to have seen Jim Brickman! :lovestruc

Well the PC EB I think holds the record ... It would be hard to beat that considering we had a total of about 600+ DISer's and Family all together , because of the late Sept date I dont think we will be close to that which means this thread wont be nowhere near as fast ... There were times on the EBPC that the thread moved 100 pages a day ...too fast for me ...LOL

pirate:

600 DISers?! I can't even imagine! :faint:

On the last one what I can remember them having is:

3 nights of comedy shows
When Mickey Dreams - kind of a cirque de solie show with Mickey
Disney Dreams
Twice Charmed
Golden Mickeys
Art of the Story - tribute to different aspects of creating a story
Jim Brickman
Boyz II Men on EB and Susan Egan on WB
Movie night one night
Farewell Show
Welcome Board Show

Although I have the navigators I have no scanner. However if you search the net there are some sites with them posted on

How exciting! 23 more months! :sad2:

Oh NO - he was terrible! So much so that I had to email the magician we had on my 1st DCL cruise - Mike Super (who also performed on the WestboundPC) and ask why he left us with 2nd rate entertainment! :rotfl: Apparently he realized that only a very Disney obsessive person would take the time to do that because when he emailed back he told me I should post the story on the DIS. Now why would he assume I'm on the DIS?? :rotfl2:

I adore Mike Super! What's he up to these days? And how does he know about the DIS?! Is he here!?

We just switched our cruise from cash to points!! It was really easy to do esp. since my Dsis did it not me. This is why we bought into DVC :)

Is there a limit to how much liquor you can bring on board? I'm not a lush, but I like my rum & diet coke :drinking1

We brought two suitcases of alcohol and mixers on the PC cruise. We carried it onboard and not a peep out of the xray people. I know, sounds like we are lushes but after the bar bill for the last TA I didn't want to take out another second on my house. :)

Oh this was split among 4 adults AND we bought stuff in port too. We brought home I think 4 bottles of alcohol, tequila kinda things.

And I have to stay that the bar staff had a great affect on our drinking as well. If Rodolfo had been in the Cove we would have been sucking down his margaritas. The staff was nice but just not all that alcohol consuming pushing. I'm lazy, would have much rather just ordered a drink then go down a level and make one for myself!

We did the same thing, with more than 1 suitcase of alcohol for just a 5 day cruise! We don't drink a lot either, but we wanted to be prepared because it's so much cheaper! I love that Disney allows this!

I chuckled though, recalling our trip through the xrays before entering the terminal. They didn't mind, but an older gentleman definitely asked us if we were planning on hosting parties! :rolleyes1 :teeth:

Received an e-mail from our TA this morning that one of the Cat 3s we were hoping might be available became so. Didn't take much time to shoot a quick e-mail back to her and say "grab it!" We bumped ourselves up from a Cat 7 to a midship Cat 3 (8532). We're quite pleased!

Wow, can you talk! Got to love a person with that talent. :worship: :thumbsup2

I'm not in on the WB. As for know all 4 of those staterooms are booked and deposits are paid for it. :scared:

Not in YET, hopefully! I'm very set on getting on it. Like the ports better, the time of year (yet another birthday on the Magic, will be doing that in 2009), the weather, the timezones, short flight to the Magic (can allways deal with the jetlag etc afterwards), well, I basically like about everything better about the WB one except for there being no suitable stateroom available at the moment. For now my TA and I will be hitting the phone untill the last moment in 2010 if need be.

Weird though, posting on this topic. Just let go of the accessible cat 8 I had on the WB. Know I can't afford it anyway, but it feels a bit like jinxing things to have nothing booked for the WB and post on the WB thread and refuse to post on the EB untill I know for sure which one it will be.

Adorable little ones in the signature, by the way. :lovestruc :lovestruc Yours?

i had disney air added in. i thought the price was pretty good. 957.80 a person from philly to barcelona than orlando to philly. i took disney air for the aug 07 repo and i had the same flights i would of chose but i got a big savings with disney. last time they had me nonstop from philly to barcelona arriving at barcelona at 8:35 in the morning. than they had me from orlando to philly nonstop leaving at 12:15 the same flight that i always book myself.
so hopefully i will get the same flights. when the time comes that you can actually book yourself on the flights i will start looking to see what i come up with price. the price for disney air when they leave from port canaveral is expensive, but they get you a good price in europe repo. now you dont get good prices through disney air if you doing barcelona round trip.
than i had to call disney again to make sure they had the right dates since im on the 10 night repo it was showing that i was leaving out on the 17th which should of been the 7th. they told me i was leaving on the 7th they were linked together but it wouldnt show up on the website that way.
so i called disney cruise 3 times today and every time i got someone right away.

:rotfl: Well it took me 2 days to do it! I have this sick problem where I feel I must read every single post I miss, even on faster moving threads. It's really not wise :teeth:

Thank you for the compliment, those are my girls! They turned 4-months this week! :goodvibes

I really hope things work out. Maybe someone booked a stateroom on a whim, and will let it go soon!:wizard:

So far that makes 3 DISers in the 4 midship Cat 3s. :thumbsup2 Now who is in 8548?

Anyone here snag the Walt or the Roy? :goodvibes

Anything sounds good as long as it's not Darin Romeo. He is a magician (and I use that word very loosely), and a singer (I have to use that word very loosely too). He was on the EB REPO and was absolutely terrible. :scared1:

Sorry if I've offended any Darin Romeo lovers out there!! :rotfl2:

Krista

i didnt mine darin romeo what i hated was the mexican folklore.

Hi everyone!

I just changed my hotel from the AB Skipper to the Hilton Diagonal Mar. I am saving over $180.00!! I am really surprised at the hotel rates in Europe! I rather spend the money on shopping then one night stay at a hotel.

I am traveling by myself and arriving on the morning of the 17th and hopefully I can get to see some of the sights before we leave on the 18th. Is anyone staying at the Hilton and arriving before the 18th?

I am still having a problem getting the banners in my signature. I really am trying Capt. Jack, I really do not want to walk the plank!

Talk to you soon!

Gotta go sign the guest book and roll call - love the logo:cool1:

Your sig line is currently imghttp://s452.photobucket.com/albums/q...nerlarge-1.jpg[/img]

try putting brackets [] around the img in the front.

if you type
it will show up.

Another problem I am getting is that the link you are using is no good. The links for the 3 different size banners are:

Large: http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr227/cbrniner/largelogo.png
Med: http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr227/cbrniner/Mediumlogo.png
Small: http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr227/cbrniner/smalllogo.png

Hope that helps!

You'll love the Diagonal Mar, we stayed there last time and were very comfortable. Unless you have a lot of money don't buy the tapas in their bar, tres expensive, but very yummy. The staff is super super nice and you have a mall right across the street with a food court and all sorts of shopping if you've forgotten anything. It was strange going to it, felt just like a mall at home!

cat 11 is now showing up for this cruise. it was the same price as i got on tuesday, so i called and got the 10 percent off since i had a dummy date booked. wasnt able to call in tuesday. had to work monday night than tuesday daywork. than book this cruise than go back in for tuesday night and wednesday daywork. first ot i had in about a month. the cruise went from 2345.46 to 2201.46= 144 dollars off so where is the 10 percent. i know you dont get the 10 percent off for taxes and the fuel. but the fare was 999 and 999 which is 1998 dollars so should be a savings of 199.80 unless theres something in the 999 price you dont get nothing off at.

You get 10% off the base cruise fare, which excludes the port taxes / fees of $279. So, you have 10% off the base cruise fare of $720 = $72. Multiply that x2 and there's your $144 savings.
