OK - I just got notice from Autumn that they revamped the dining rotations. I am none too happy about this!!!

Here are the new ones. Please not that themes moved as well!!! So, now both formal nights are in the same restaurant!!!

Hayley, hope that you are not mad - I moved us to Rotation 3, as formal night is wining out over Pirate night... UUGH - please let me know ASAP if this is NOT ok...

I have updated page 1 as well...

Sign me one very unhappy camper...

Hmmmm...Interesting. I wonder why DCL has made these changes. :confused3

Does anyone have suggestions for MMC night?

OK, so I admit I'm a little late checking in, but 10000s of posts can be a little intimidating :P The excitement of being less than 2 weeks out has overcome it though :rotfl:

Welcome! :wave2:

Why are they messing with us? Now, we have Palo dinner on Villain's night. Dinner is at 6. Will we still make the show? I know some people don't like it, but we've never seen it. Aaargghhh!!! What to do...what to do....

I didn't have a Villains costume, but I have mentally packed a purple shirt and blue pants.

The shows will run at least twice each night, so if you go to Palo at 6, you should be out in time for the 8:30pm show. (Even if it's not your assigned showing, you can always crash it and no one will notice.) If you have early dining, you won't get to see the Villain's dinner menu.

Their explanation for originally moving the 1st formal night to Gibralter was due to bad weather in the Med, and a sense that it would be safer and a better people experience if we had formal night while in port. Perhaps the recent med conditions have improved. Honestly I'd prefer to have the formal on the sea day, but I also didn't want to be falling over trying to wear heels in rough conditions!

The planned pirate night in the middle of the TA crossing always seemed weird to me, especially since they'd have to stop (I assume) for the pirate show and fireworks. Many of us originally assumed it would be on St. Maarten night as it is on the Eastern Caribbean cruises, and were surprised to see it on another night.

Not to worry, Wedgeh, I'm fairly new to this board as well. (Although I was a first day booker for this cruise, like you.) In fact, guess I'm just not savvy enough to figure all these posting things. I still don't know how to do the quotes! But, I do check in and try to catch up and can say that we are going to have a nice group of people onboard, and I'm looking forward to meeting everyone next week. (Now, for a little help with the quotes. Anyone? Please!:))

:thumbsup2Well I do not care what restaurant I am in. But I am annoyed at how we try and plan for a group of nearly 400 and DCL just thinks it can do what it wants.

We will all be checking the update board. Cause I bet when we get on it will change again.!!! Where will the update board be?

But we need to find a night for our MMC shirts. Some people paid alot of money getting shirts for this event. Me not so much :rotfl:

Maybe DCL should be made more aware of how big this group is.

Also how come we do not hold a big Dis gathering like Cruise Critics does???

Do they get a special deal.????

Oh and for the person that is working on changing the time they go to sleep and get up I had to laugh.

Hubby goes to bed every night at 9:00pm and gets up at 5:00am for work.

Me it is more like 10:00 getting up at 5:30

Keep us posted.

I always ahve the hoover at the ready in times like this..........as long as its not too big to go up the hoover that is! Good luck!!!

:littleangel:
I'm pathetic, Mandy - can't even get that close... :sad2:

Yes, we are - my DW grew up in Bexleyheath, and we have several very good friends in this part of the world. And tonight the weather is lovely, albeit with a number of clouds. :goodvibes

Our traveling between friends also explains why I'm so erratic - or at least so erratic about posting. I'm erratic about other things because that's just me. :upsidedow

I know Bexleyheath! We're in Beckenham - not far away... :goodvibes

Noooooo, spiders here are good!!! I put them outside.

I know, Maz. :guilty: I always think of that rhyme:
"If you want to live and thrive,
Let a spider run alive.."

I really do try (and I'm a LOT better than I was, believe me) but sometimes they scare me witless...

Hi and welcome, never too late.
Sorry your weather in the UK has been pants (been dying to use that). And are you serious about the size of that spider? Eeeeeekkkkk!

Jon, thanks for posting those. She sure is a beauty! We'll be on the 2/27/11 sailing and I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Good for you both on the marathon! Great time, Lynne.

So glad you found your phone. The last phone I lost was hidden by my DGD (naughty noodle :rotfl:); naturally I found it after I'd gotten a new one. The one before that got thrown out by my mother (we didn't realize at the time that she was developing dementia). Can't live without the little things, though, can we?

P&PD that the change works out smoothly. We've been through a couple of those, so I know how you feel :flower3:.

Welcome to the crew! Check out pages 1 and 2 for some good info.

They are good, spiders are better than flies...right?
If you dont like spiders better not coem to my house, we give them names;)

We use twist ties instead of locks also. We figure that if someone wants to rip us off, they can easily cut the suitcases, which are all made from soft material. We just want to make sure they stay zipped.

We leave a week from tomorrow. Haven't started packing yet. Just trying to think about what I want to bring.

We use a combination of locks and seals. I put a lock on the main compartment and a seal. That way I know if someone was in our suitcase or not. Than on the extra pockets I put one seal.

Cool video. Man, she's one large and beautiful ship. I just really wish someone could get some front shots of her, since we have a front corner room booked for our Dream cruise!

I moved every which way trying to get a better angle of the bow are but the observation area would allow us to move closer to the bow. If you are on the port side I might have a picture, nothing for starboard side.

Connie:I'll have Yvette PM you.

I do get freaked out when one just runs across the floor and makes me jump though.

We don't put small ones out, and I rescue spiders from the bath. It is just those big ones I think should go outside!!! Actually I should put them all in the conservatory as we normally have a whole load of flies coming in there.

Becky could do with you Marilyn, she is absolutley terrified of spiders and has to call her friend over (or grab a neighbour) if there's one in her flat.....:rolleyes1

It's a very common phobia though isn't it? I don't like them either but am not so frightened of them....thank goodness!:goodvibes

Maybe a stupid question... But... do you think they make offial pics on every formal night?

glad you saw this, sent you a note on FB about it

Got that one too:thumbsup2.

I've been multi-tasking vacation stuff and work today - ordered a phone from Verizon that can be used overseas as my Droid won't work, bought a costume for Pirate night and then this.

In Australia a phobia of spiders can be a healthy thing to have as many of them are deadly. however i am fine with spiders, but snakes or leaches - bad, very bad.

The wristbands came!!! They are awesome!!! They look so neat in the dark!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

We get they big huge ones, I like them, mostly cause I HATE flies,

There are always photo opportunities set up with various backgrounds etc. I believe the ones in the foyer by the stairs are every formal night.

No, not too old. It was empty for over a year before we moved in and there were hundreds of spiders. We don't seem to have as many now though.

I am terrified of snakes and spiders. The only way I could feel safe about spiders when we lived in Hawaii was that I knew the Geckos would eat the spiders. But they sure were noisy!!!

Cool! Thank you. I want pics of both nights...

I was born in England...not sure where though. I'll have to check my birth certficate. That does explain why I'm a little off!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:
