Well, my get up and go seems to have gotten up and gone. Since Sunday I have not really manage to get anything cruise related done.

DH had a clear out of old paperwork and I have been busy shredding stuff. This is now nearly done and hopefully will be finished before I go to work (shredder is currently cooling down as it got a it too hot). Work was also an absolute nightmare yesterday. I am back on a late shift today so that should hopefully be better. Including today, I have 8 shifts left, two of which are lates, two earlies and 4 mid shifts. Two of those shifts are admin days for me. After the last early, I will head straight to the airport. I can't wait. I also have a spa treatment to look forward to and on Sunday I will go to a theme park with people from work. So there is some good stuff heading my way.

I have been busily tracking the package that I have sent to Barcelona and this has arrived at the depot in Barcelona over night and is now out for delivery. Once this is showing as delivered, that is another worry off my mind. You never know, the package might actually make it to the ship early and gets to cruise around the Med.

The extra materials that I ordered for the late joiners to the jewellery workshops have now arrived. I am hoping to at least start working on those kits before I leave for work. I am not happy with the materials that I ordered for some Pixie Dust that I am hoping to spread on the cruise so I am going to reorder them. The stuff that I ordered is nice, but won't work for what I have in mind.

I am off now to update my info posts for the jewellery workshops. I have sent out PMs to those people in Workshops 1 and 4 with the hopefully final arrangements and will send out PMs to the rest of the people before the day is out.

I have quite a few PMs in my inbox that are awaiting my attentions and again, I will reply to those before the day is done.

I don't think there has been anything major posted over the weekend. Lots of packing and unpacking and packing again!!! Some folk have set off now both for the B2B and this cruise.

I am packing a large cup. When I was on the cruise last time, and got something to eat at Pluto's, get my drink, etc. By the time I got back to my table, I was done drinking. They now give you the tiny little cups. I had to get up 6 times during my lunch. I am packing a big cup - is anybody else doing this ridiculous thing or just me?????

I was wondering about this, but read on and see it's not allowed, I am sure you can use the disposable cups to fill a bigger cup though.

I was just counting and my countdown is that I only have to make 8 more suppers for hubby!!! I might be able to whine one night and get him to cook. He is trying to cut down on salt and fats and is making me crazy!!!!

I am taking my wdw resort mug. I finished my Mickey mouse club t-shirts. They turned out ok but mickey is not quite in the middle so it looks like he hit the bar early.
I figure no one will notice anyways and for the pic I will just have hubby and I lean so mickey logo is straight

Yes, he did have the dental work done on Thurs. He was 5 hours in the dental chair - the staff took lunch break in there, so he was 3 hours, one hour break then 2 more hours. Ouch!! He was sore for a couple of days. We were camping so after the procedures I took him back to the campground and put him to bed for a bit.

Glad everything went well, I'm sure you look after him well.

Interesting paragraph in the Orlando Sentinal this morning. Disney's new pet kennel just opened and they have accomodations for Very Important Pets (at a premium no doubt). The interesting thing is that the VIP kennels have 226 sf, while my stateroom on the Magic has only 216 if I'm not mistaken. The dogs will have a bigger room than we will.

So I finally got caught up! I've been having DIS withdrawal this weekend!!! I usually check in several times a day but went away for the weekend and between activities and the fact that my BIL hadn't hooked up the new router so no WIFI, I was trying to keep up via my phone but not easy.

Had a wonderful holiday weekend. Saturday I went with my baby sister and her family up to their mountain house and after unpacking proceeded up to my little sister's camper further up in the mountains where we spent time eating, quading eating, fireside time and - oh yeah, eating!!! After leaving there and going back to the mountain house to wash off the grime, we spent the next day out on the boat on the lake (with the camping group coming down). Well, the boat only holds 8 at one time so some of us relaxed on the beach while some boated. Normally we would have been tubing but only my 16 year old niece and 11 year old nephew were brave enough to deal with the cold. That's right - after one of the hottest summers on record around here with 90+ heat, we go away and the weather is in the low 70's (during the afternoon) and super windy!!! I had taken along two long sleeves shirts for the evenings and ended up wearing them during the day. Wrapped myself in a light blanket around the camp fire to keep warm at night! Of course today (as we were packing up) ended up in the mid-80's.

Still it was a wonderful weekend with family - 19 people and seven dogs!!! (that's 10 people and three dogs at the mountain house and 9 people and four dogs at the camp site).

The funniest part of the weekend was when we arrived back at the mountain house from boating and as we were pulling into the long driveway, all we could hear was seven dogs excitedly barking!!! Thought the little ones were going to tear down the shades!

So great to be back on line and talking with all of you again!!! Still have alot to do but I'm the type that figures what gets done gets done. Many things are done and still some things to do. Work is going to be busy for the next seven days I'm there scared1: can't believe it's come so quick now).

So looking forward to meeting up with everyone.

I have now updated my info posts for the jewellery workshops both on this thread and thread 10.

The workshops will take place at the Promenade Lounge, with the exception of workshop 4, which will take place at Cove Cafe. The groupings should now been pretty much fixed apart from one person that I need to find a new slot for, which won't be a problem.

Right, I think I will play with shiny things now and get those kits made up.

I keep getting confused on this tipping thing. My last understanding was not to tip the taxi driver....the cost for us is 55 Euros. So, should we tip a Euro or so, (since there is no nearest Euro option), or just let it be.

If it was me on your taxi they get 55 euro that's it and maybe when he was nice he get a 2 euro. Because in Spain they charge you for your suitcases already. That's not in The Netherlands.

We do that different over here in Europa. But you can tip if you like but it's not strange to do it or not to do it. And when you're have been eating a small tip is okay.

We had rain overnight, but it has been beautiful since. Looks like it might have moved northwards from here. I'm thinking it might shower again, but for now I have the washing out!!!

Waiting for 3 parcels to arrive. Bras from one place, shapewear from another, and a warmer cardigan from somewhere else!!! I promise I will wear something between the bra, shapewear and cardigan though.

I was thinking that there is no way to explain jet lag to a 2 year old, so I have been adjusting our sleep schedule here so the time change will have less of an impact on him. The last two days we have been getting up an hour earlier and going to bed early. Today I will move it another hour.... which means we will be going to bed at 6pm getting up at 5. In another day or so, my husband will be getting home from work AFTER we have gone to bed!
If I can just get his schedule changed by 3 hours I think we will have a much better trip. We are going to Prague before Barcelona (both same time zone)

We are packed, but I keep finding things "I might really need!" I was looking over my notes from our last cruise and I wrote that I didnt need more than 4 outfits and a couple of swim suits! NOW thats my other crazy self!

Speaking of locking luggage, I have always used zip ties instead of locks. Can you use the TSA approved locks overseas?? Will they lock them when they are done? Do you get a little note saying your luggage was opened?

They open my case with a screw driver type thing normally, and you can spot a mile away theve been in your case ( well in mines anyway) usually covered in film and yes they leave a nice little note for you.
And I dont even lock my case, ive a hard case and they never even tried to open it(I never lock my cases) they just took some kind of instrument to it and wedged it open.

Well would you believe it? Yes!!

Rushed out and did a quick shop. Nearly killed me rushing, and there was the note in the door when I got back!!! Only out just over 30 minutes. Will have to go collect it tomorrow. This happened last week too. I don't think I was out for even 30 minutes then. Still 2 more for that to happen with!

I'm so impressed with you changing your hours. I think it will work quite well for you, though you will still feel some jetlag with a 3 hour difference, but I bet you get over it quickly.

Love the note you found about how little you need to pack. Are you going to follow that advice?

We always use the TSA locks. We have has the official notes inside the cases, but sometimes I think they open the cases and don't put a note in. They do lock the locks again.

One time going from the UK to Belfast, Northern Ireland, the security at the UK airport put a completely different lock on our case after opening it which we didn't have the combination code to. I don't know if they made a mistake, or were having a bit of a laugh. We did all sorts at Belfast Airport, notifying the offices there, proving the bag was ours etc, trying to phone the UK airport etc. Eventually the Belfast Authorities were about to call the Fire Brigade to come and cut it off!!! as they weren't allowed to. Fortunately a clever security guard suggested trying 0000, and that did it! Just before the call to the Fire Brigade was made.
