HELP!!!!

In skimming over the last 10+ pages, I see the rotations have changed, some of the formal/casual dates have changed and now MMC night is changing.

Can anyone summarize what is happening? I don't have a clue at this point what rotation we are on, as Sarah was linking our ressies.

Noel, as far as I can figure, if you are on late dining, Sue was trying to get her rotation to #3. Mrs. Mork is trying to get early dining to rotation #2 so Todd can be at Parrot Cay on pirate night. Some people on early dining are unlinking, because the thought of having formal night in Parrot Cay is a non starter for them.

I haven't seen Sarah. I'm on early dining and at first was very resisitant to dining at Parrot Cay during the formals. But now, I just want to dine with my friends, no matter where they are. :):)

Needless to say Terry is on the moon since we will have fireworks on her birthday. I don't think she has even chimed in with an opionion as to what rotation we are in. We could eat on the deck. :woohoo::woohoo:

So there we are. :love::love:

I was thinking that there is no way to explain jet lag to a 2 year old, so I have been adjusting our sleep schedule here so the time change will have less of an impact on him. The last two days we have been getting up an hour earlier and going to bed early. Today I will move it another hour.... which means we will be going to bed at 6pm getting up at 5. In another day or so, my husband will be getting home from work AFTER we have gone to bed!:lmao:
If I can just get his schedule changed by 3 hours I think we will have a much better trip. We are going to Prague before Barcelona (both same time zone)

We are packed, but I keep finding things "I might really need!" I was looking over my notes from our last cruise and I wrote that I didnt need more than 4 outfits and a couple of swim suits! :confused3:confused3NOW thats my other crazy self!

Speaking of locking luggage, I have always used zip ties instead of locks. Can you use the TSA approved locks overseas?? Will they lock them when they are done? Do you get a little note saying your luggage was opened?

Thanks!
We leave in 3 Days!!!!!:banana::banana:

Cynthia

Hi,
I used the TSA locks on luggage when I flew into Scotland two years ago. When I got my luggage from the carrousel the locks were gone. There was a security guy there and I pointed this out to him before I took the luggage off and he and I went through the luggage to see if there was anything amiss. I mentioned to him that I thought these locks would be o.k. and he said not to count on it. If they want to get into the suitcase they'll just cut the locks - TSA approved or not. They did not re-secure the bags with the zip ties. I'll be using the zip ties this time. Trudy

Can someone please explain to me what they mean by ZIP TIES? Really would like to keep what we bring in the luggage . . .LOL

Theresa, they are those plastic strips that come in different sizes that you slide the end into the other and they stay closed. Lots of people use small ones to attach their fish extenders to the fish.:)

Sue was informed earlier today that the rotations changed. It's posted on Page 1 as well as a few pages back from this point. Pirate Night is on Night 11, which was originally our MMC night. So we have to move MMC night for that reason.

Sarah was putting all of us in the late dining group in Rotation 2.

Hope that "helps". It's a mess for many now.

I guess!! What night have we decided will we be wearing our MMC shirts or is that "up in the air" as well?

And it goes on and on and on... :scared1:

I hope it stops soon for you!!

Thus far the Christ Church Cathedral in Cathedral Square is ok though there are some cracks. Many of the other old churches in the area are not so lucky including the oldest church in the city which I believe will be demolished.

How very sad but I suppose it must happen if it is no longer safe.

Think of Euros as Dollars - they have cents too so when we said round it up for example, if you were in a taxi with a meter running and it came to 38.75 - round it up to 40 euro. I believe the 1 and 2 euros are coins instead of paper.

I was just commenting when Angle said what to do if she had a 55 Euro fare and I didn't understand what the problem was as I have 5 Euros bills.

They are saying these aftershocks will decrease over time but it could go on for months if not YEARS!

That would be terrible and very hard on people there is New Zealand. I hope that this is not the case!!
I use ziplock - they can open it if they want and they will re-zip lock it.

There was a well publicised case a few years ago of an Australian woman who was caught with 4kgs of drugs in her luggage on arrival in Bali - she swears they weren't hers and to the best of my knowledge she was not a known drug dealer/user. It was around the same time that some Qantas staff were found to be stealing items from luggage and its possible that it may have been trafficers that missed removing the drugs from her bag when she arrived in Bali.
I believe she was originally sentanced to execution but is now on a life sentance - from all accounts, she has had a mental breakdown now but maintains her innocence. The thing is, to get a pardon (or reduced sentance) from the Indonesian government she would have to confess and she refuses to admit she is guilty.
What a terrible, terrible story!! I hope she is pardoned, especially if she in really innocent.

Thank you!! I will just wait to hear from Sue what she finds out if we can we on changing to the PLA rotation. Do you know which night the MMC is or are we still "up in the air"?

The reason I've been posting so much today is I'm home from work. I have broncitis. Happy, happy, joy, joy. But better this week than next.:cool1::cool1::cool1:

Very true! I hope you feel better soon!!!!

Oh goodie! I'm really excited about seeing the adventures of Ivanna! If I have time, I'm going to make a traveling Ivanna twin so she can spread twice the joy. :rotfl2:

Ivanna has a twin?! You could name her Anita Cruz (I need a cruise)! LOL!!!!

I did a bunch of cruise things today - confirmed my hotel at WDW for after the cruise, notified the credit card company that I'm going out of the country, picked up some odds and ends and worked on my FE gifts. :)

Darn! There was a question I was going to ask on here and now I can't remember! I must be getting old!!! LOL!!!

I sincerely hope that we'll go for rotation 3 with these changes so that we're in Lumiere's for formal nights. It's just not right to get dressed up in a tux and ball gown for PC!

I agree. I always enjoy dressing for dinner on a cruise, that's just part if the fun. It's nice to have formal atmosphere to go with formal night. Now we'll all just have to go to Palo's together those nights, LOL!

Lynne

Change your DIS Navigators!!!

msclb.jpg

Assuming the new dining schedule is correct, Do NOT remember the date, September 28. Do NOT do this!

:earsboy: Instead, remember DISers are a PERFECT 10!
So we will now wear our shirts on NIGHT 10, aka September 27, aka PJ Breakfast Day. Don't forget your ears! :earboy2:

PS: If there are many objections to Sept 27 due to Palo ressies, we can also consider Night 12, Tortola day.

Night 10 would be good for us, our Palo is on night 12.

I have a Blackberry Storm 2 carried by Verizon and they said that if I get the international plan I can send text messages for 50 cents and recieve them for 5 cents extra. Hope this helps.

Droid can't be used there for some reason. DS works for Verizon and he has told Dennis to wait to get the Droid until we return. My LG phone (which is JUST a phone!) won't work in Europe either, so he will keep the Blackberry until this trip is over. He can send the 50 cent texts and receive for 5 cents.

We actually have Palo reservations on Night 12, so day 10 for the MMC night works perfectly for us.

:thumbsup2 Same, same.

:thumbsup2 I agree!

Back from Phoenix, Dr visit went well. Howard will be upping his meds, and after the cruise he'll be adding a new one.
That's all he needs is a new med that causes dizziness while he's on a ship:lmao:
But... other then that... he's stablizing on the "old" medication:yay:

And doing the happy dance here, got my pirate boots today, Howard's tux, and a great lunch in Phx! :flower3:

Not happy about the dinner rotation change. I planned our anniversary dinner in Gibraltar and the formal night . Agggghhhhhh! Ok, change our anniversary date to the formal night. Priate night, ok easy to change, but the new MMC night is our Palo night...I can change that easy once the MMC night is set in stone:rolleyes1 Just another adventure from Disneypirate:

Annie:yay:

We asked our TA to switch us to the rotation #3 for the same reason. I hate snagging my casual clothes on the chairs at PC, I don't want to ruin my dress as well!

Our first two cruises we were spoiled by rotations that allowed us to be in Lumiere's on formal night and Parrot Cay on pirate night. Unfortunately this wasn't possible on our last 2 cruises, or on this one it appears.

We did not sign up for any tastings with you kids, but I am going to see what the concierge is offering at our meet when we first board the ship. I am a little nervous about that though, as every time we've had that meeting, we get stuck with a total time hog of a family and we have to sit and wait forever. Or get the B team concierge who isn't even a concierge, but just has to help with the initial meeting. I want to say, "We are low maintenance! We just need to confirm our table for 2 at dinner, and maybe sign up for a tequila tasting. 2.6 minutes, promise! Just let us go first!" But I never have the gaul to do that. We get stuck behind the family with their entire cruise plans laid out and insist on reviewing every single detail with the concierge. Hmpphhh.

We've sailed Concierge 3 times, but have always upgraded at the port and have had to go to the concierge reception to get everything adjusted or readjusted. Are you able to book any of the tastings in advance? Seems like it would save you some time if you could.

Does anyone know if 13 year-olds can go to the salon?
Thanks

Don't know about the salon, but there were reports that DCL has been operating a Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique out of one of the gift shops on the Magic this summer. I'm hoping that's still going on so my DD can get a makeover one night.

Over the course of 10 DCL cruises, we have been in every restaurant on formal night, and to be honest....it made no difference to us. All seemed more formal for the night because the servers were all dressed as well. Being with the DIS friends is most important to us.:grouphug:

Night 10 would be good for us, our Palo is on night 12.

Is this now the firm night?

:thumbsup2 Same, same.

This is why I love my unlocked Nexus One!! I have a Android phone that is unlocked for ATT, tether to my computer under my unlimited data plan and that I can use it anywhere!!

That's me too Angie. As for John, I bet he doesn't even know the restaurants are different!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Having taken a look at the new dining plan, for my own tastes I prefer the look of rotation 3 best and rotation 2 least.

My reasoning for this is I much prefer to be in Lumieres for Formal Night (Parrot Cay doesn't quite do it for me on Formal Night).

I am surprised that DCL didn't think, we have 2 Formal Nights and 1 Semi Formal Night, so we spread that around evenly between Rotations and Restaurants.

Just my thoughts.

Any way more importantly it is only 9 days to go!!

Hi Mark. Yes, not long at all!!! One week today and we will be starting our first full day in Barcelona!!!:yay:

From what I have read recently about DCL, I don't think they actually think at all!!:confused3 They seem to toss ideas in the air and catch the first one on the way down.:sad2:
