Hi Everyone. I have no hope of catching up! Mike and I were in Decatur, GA this past week attending an Optical Network Switch class for work. It was a great class, but I didn't have free time on the 'puter to keep up with you all, and now I am 100 pages behind.

I did see the dining changes though, and you can add me to the list of folks who aren't that happy. I don't care about eating at Palo on Formal Night, but we have Palo brunch on Villains Night. And when we eat Palo brunch, we do not eat dinner. Oh well.

We did not sign up for any tastings with you kids, but I am going to see what the concierge is offering at our meet when we first board the ship. I am a little nervous about that though, as every time we've had that meeting, we get stuck with a total time hog of a family and we have to sit and wait forever. Or get the B team concierge who isn't even a concierge, but just has to help with the initial meeting. I want to say, "We are low maintenance! We just need to confirm our table for 2 at dinner, and maybe sign up for a tequila tasting. 2.6 minutes, promise! Just let us go first!" But I never have the gaul to do that. We get stuck behind the family with their entire cruise plans laid out and insist on reviewing every single detail with the concierge. Hmpphhh.
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:Thats poor Sue, trying to fix all us lot out:rotfl2::rotfl2: If I was paying for concierge I would be laying out my whole cruise plans as well:lmao: not goint to happen though.:worship:
Over the course of 10 DCL cruises, we have been in every restaurant on formal night, and to be honest....it made no difference to us. All seemed more formal for the night because the servers were all dressed as well. Being with the DIS friends is most important to us.:grouphug:
Yes, me too, Although I did like it when ap matched my formal dress:thumbsup2
Well done you!!:thumbsup2

That's me too Angie. As for John, I bet he doesn't even know the restaurants are different!!:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:lmao: Poor John, not like he can stick up for himself.

For those of us who have requested to link late dining ... just to let you know that I have contacted my travel agent again to tell her about the changes and asked if she can move us to rotation 3. I am sure it is a real pain for her ... but what else can I do :confused3:confused3

I have asked this because a few of our diners wanted Lumieres for formal. Hope this is OK with you all. :goodvibes

HELP!!!!

In skimming over the last 10+ pages, I see the rotations have changed, some of the formal/casual dates have changed and now MMC night is changing.

Can anyone summarize what is happening? I don't have a clue at this point what rotation we are on, as Sarah was linking our ressies.

Sue was informed earlier today that the rotations changed. It's posted on Page 1 as well as a few pages back from this point. Pirate Night is on Night 11, which was originally our MMC night. So we have to move MMC night for that reason.

Sarah was putting all of us in the late dining group in Rotation 2.

Hope that "helps". It's a mess for many now.

I sincerely hope that we'll go for rotation 3 with these changes so that we're in Lumiere's for formal nights. It's just not right to get dressed up in a tux and ball gown for PC!

Guys ... don't worry I have asked my wonderful TA Tracy to sort this out for us and move us to ROTATION 3 ..... she is on the case !!!

PS Remind me never to volunteer to do anything relating to linking dining again as long as I live and cruise :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hi Mark! :wave: Looking forward to meeting you very soon... :thumbsup2

I have recieved a message back from my TA:

"Hi Sarah,

I will check into the rotation and make sure that it has changed (I have the changed schedule and I’ll verify that) and then switch you to rotation 3. "

She has given her time well beyond the call of duty over this as I am sure it must be a right pain in the rear having things change at the last minute :mad::mad::mad:

Ok, its a deal, as long as you mind me not to orginize room tours:rotfl2: and when we are at it, we can tell Sue, ... no dis tastings:rotfl:

In an effort to reduce the "jet lag" effect on Jonathan he and I have been adjusting our clocks....It's 11:30 in Barcelona right now, we got up at 10:30 am. Sounds like we slept in, sure doesnt feel like it! My son is a cartoon watching zombie and I have every light in the house on....:surfweb: COFFEE!!!!!!:rotfl:

I cant wait to find out if your experiment works, I am great with jet lag, Im sure its the night shift swapping from the last 10 years, but it took a few years to get good at it, good luck.

:lmao: Poor John, not like he can stick up for himself.

I really am going to have to take the comment back Lynne! I was just telling him the saga of the changing rotation and people not wanting Parrot Cay for formal night and he said 'I can understand that, it isn't quite right for formal night is it?' There you go. He has eventually picked up some ship knowledge from all the cruises.:lmao::lmao:

A week today we will be in the air, well bar, strikes, volcanoes, bla bla bla.

:dance3::dance3:

I haven't heard anything recently about the Spanish air traffic controllers strike so unless they nastily spring a surprise strike we should be ok!!:thumbsup2

One time going from the UK to Belfast, Northern Ireland, the security at the UK airport put a completely different lock on our case after opening it which we didn't have the combination code to.:sad2: I don't know if they made a mistake, or were having a bit of a laugh. We did all sorts at Belfast Airport, notifying the offices there, proving the bag was ours etc, trying to phone the UK airport etc. Eventually the Belfast Authorities were about to call the Fire Brigade to come and cut it off!!!:scared1::scared1::scared1: as they weren't allowed to. Fortunately a clever security guard suggested trying 0000, and that did it! Just before the call to the Fire Brigade was made.:headache:
:scared1::scared1::scared1:

Thanks, Hayley! :) I know I've been really in the dumps lately. Sorry for that. I hate being that way, and I'm trying really hard to stay positive. I indeed share your philosophy that ice cream is good for the soul! I can't wait to have some cookie dough ice cream in 2 weeks!

Well, I need to head out and get one of my last tanning sessions in this morning before the cruise. Hope you've all had/will have a great day!

Please don't apologise, that's what we're here for, to share in the good and bad times. :)
They have cookie dough ice-cream on the boat......I am in trouble.....:rotfl:
Note to self, must tan!!! I fear it will be out of a bottle...:confused:

OK - I just got notice from Autumn that they revamped the dining rotations. I am none too happy about this!!!

Here are the new ones. Please not that themes moved as well!!! So, now both formal nights are in the same restaurant!!!

Hayley, hope that you are not mad - I moved us to Rotation 3, as formal night is wining out over Pirate night... UUGH - please let me know ASAP if this is NOT ok...

I have updated page 1 as well...

Sign me one very unhappy camper...

No problem at all Sue, Whatever you guys want, makes no difference to us, we don't know any different :goodvibes
Have been trying to catch you on Skype, Terry's grandmother died on Sunday, It's OK, we have been expecting it for a while, So have been so busy and have in-laws staying until next Sunday after funeral. :eek:

The one good thing about this schedule is that Pirate Night is on my birthday!!!!! I can wear my costume and have fireworks!!! I will wear my Mickey Mouse Club T-shirt another day.

Your wish come true, that must be your pixie dust :banana::banana::banana:

I just reached my pre-cruise goal weight!!!!! Mind you, I'm no skinny Minnie, but I feel so much better!!!! I have another week to lose a couple more, too!!!! Hu-freaking-rrah!!!!!:cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1::cool1:

Brilliant well done you!:woohoo:

I've lost 24 lbs in the last 8 weeks but would really like to lose another 4 lb by next Friday!:rolleyes1

Nice one!!! :thumbsup2 I'm hoping to drop a couple of lbs before the cruise - it'd be nice to have a cushion... :laughing:

Oh I have plenty of cushioning Kaz!!!:rolleyes1 You can have some of mine!:thumbsup2:rotfl:

I just got a Villians dress!!!!:yay::yay:

woohoo!!!:dance3: Look forward to seeing it!

LOL! CustardTart, it's that CUSHION I'm trying to get rid of!!!:lmao:

:thumbsup2

Having taken a look at the new dining plan, for my own tastes I prefer the look of rotation 3 best and rotation 2 least.

My reasoning for this is I much prefer to be in Lumieres for Formal Night (Parrot Cay doesn't quite do it for me on Formal Night).

I am surprised that DCL didn't think, we have 2 Formal Nights and 1 Semi Formal Night, so we spread that around evenly between Rotations and Restaurants.

Just my thoughts.

Any way more importantly it is only 9 days to go!!

Who rattled your cage sweetie?:laughing::lovestruc

Well knowing how he normally is I was extremely surprised.

I know all about head in the sand and these strikes etc! Just need to get to Barcelona and then we should be ok. Unless DCL strike of course!!!:scared1::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sorry all. Things have been manic here trying to keep up. I am trying to keep ahead of you on here and struggling! I will try and post more on the weekend when things might be a bit quieter.

Other than date changes, which I can't even see at the moment as computers playing up, and Mickey Mouse night has anything else changed? Sue can you let me know dates etc for the tastings so I can put them in the Navigator too. I want to get it sorted over the weekend if I get a chance.
