Errrr... Mebbe.... Shhh just don't tell DH!!! ;)

My lips are sealed ;).

Happy Anniversary!! You still sound so in love. I hope I am like you when I reach that anniversary number!

Well, husband #1 (although I call him #0 because he was a big fat zero) was a stinker, so at least I learned how to pick a good one. Wouldn't trade my DH for anyone (George Clooney and Brad Pitt cry your eyes out :rotfl2::rotfl2:).

I would LOVE a pin, just let me know how much and I will have it for you. Thank you!!

We can settle on the ship if that's OK w/you.

I was disappointed to hear about the Mahjongg but I LOVE Phase 10!

Yeah, I thought about it for a long while, but it's a lot to learn and I wasn't sure we'd have enough time.

Does anybody play the card game 99?

Not sure I'm familiar w/that one. Ever play Pigs? (You throw little piggy-shaped dice.)

I just got the Droid 2 and it has an application for Skype. How does it work and what is it? Verizon told me I probably won't have any service in Europe but it's not a GSM phone.

Thanks,

Bev

Skype is a way to call with video from computer to computer or smartphone. We use it all the time at home to talk to friends and family overseas for free.

Just click on this Skype link to educate yourself about Skye. Do you love the Droid 2? I love my Nexus One phone. Is the Droid 2 running Google 2.2 (Froyo) yet?

Kimberly - so good to see you posting. Sorry to hear that it has been a rough week. I think the word "suck" is an understatement.

I was away when your co-worker drowned so I don't want you to relive it, but it sounded awful. You have my sympathies and hugs. Cannot wait to see you in 2 weeks!!!

So glad to see you back on the thread. Don't know if you saw but Todd did put together a #10 in the event we chat through this one before we all head out in approx 2 weeks (give or take a day depending on when you are leaving). You've had a busy time with events I'm sure you would have preferred not to attend. I'll I can say is :grouphug:.

I'm so glad your mom is coming down and that you have some great plans for the weekend. I loved the Titanic exhibit when it was here a couple of years ago. Talk to you next week - if not sooner on FB.

Oh thank you for pointing that out, Melodie. I did not know Todd started Chapter 10. I just finished adding all my "Go-To" posts to Page 2.

BTW, it's good to be back, even if it's just for a brief moment today. :grouphug:

i love how tv works on a freaking phone anywhere but cant get the cable to work on tv. Its crazy

Have you tried SEE's Candy? The best - mostly chocolate but their peanut brittle is sinful. Their factory is near the Tanforan shopping center. You can smell the chocolate. My DH says he knows when I've been dieting to long - I bake every recipe I see, but don't eat it. All the neighbors get care packages. I also put up my canning (Darn - need to get this seasons pickles canned before we go) and I can't stop talking about food. val

When we did the WBPC cruise, Angie and Dennis took me to the outlet/factory store near DL, where Angie worked once upon a time, and I still have the box that the chocolates were packed it. Love their chocolate lollipop, sigh.....

Hey folks....

U all are chatty as always...but gratefully I'm not a million pages behind..only had to catch up with about 10 on lunch break.

As a general announcement----I thought I'd let you know (I didn't see anyone post about it here on the boards but I might have missed it skimming) that I got a PM this morning from "Sue L"----because of an ankle injury, she and her husband are NOT going to be able to cruise with us. :sad2: She wanted to let me know that she wouldn't need her lanyards----which ended up being serendipitous for DizzneyDAnn and her husband who wanted lanyards but were late to the game....and so now I was able to give them lanyards!!:thumbsup2 I mention this because if Sue L is listed on any other lists like FE exchange, secret mickey, tastings, etc. then the organizers should make sure to pull her off. (Note: I still have a couple people on my "waiting list" who joined us late after all the lanyards were gone....but I am still thinking there are at least 3 people on my list who will not actually be on the cruise----figment795, tigger795 & KAP158 have still not responded to any PMs or emails...so we'll see if they materialize...if not, then the lanyards I have reserved for them will go to the next folks "in line" for lanyards)

(Also, has anyone heard from kcashner? I have sent a few PMs to her and still no reply and no room # for her. Anyone know her room #? Or if she is even cruising with us still?)

And THAT is a good reminder to everyone to PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK THE LANYARD LIST by clicking HERE. I know I've asked you to do that a million times...but we're in actual crunch time now----please double check it to make sure that your cabin # is listed there and that it is correct. This is immensely important to you actually getting your lanyards for the trip.....because Jason and I will be printing the final version of the lanyard list to bring with us on the trip on Wed. morning. We are going to print one in alphabetical order by DIS name so that at the DIS meet and during the sail away folks can come and find us and we can easily locate their lanyards and check them off. We are also going to print a list sorted by cabin #, because anyone who hasn't gotten their lanyards from me by the time I get out of dinner on the first night of the cruise can expect to find me knocking on their cabin door later that evening (and if they're "home" then we'll confirm who they are and give them their lanyards) and/or leaving a note under their door asking them to contact us at our room to confirm they are aboard and their room # and to make arrangements to get their lanyards from us. (Note: Also, if you change your room # and you do not get your lanyards at one of the meets----although on what seems to be a pretty full ship that is probably a bit unlikely----make sure that you contact me with that information at my cabin # with a note or a phone message at #6584).

OK, that is my public service announcement(s) about lanyards.

Beyond that......

.....thanks to everyone for the compliments on my new hair. I unveiled it at work today and it was a big shock...but seems most people like it. I am still getting used to...but I def. got ready faster this morning...I can sleep an extra 15 minutes every morning now!! :thumbsup2

And on a final note...Jason and I had a RIDICULOUSLY productive weekend!! We finished EVERYTHING we needed to do for this trip except for setting up our blog, which we plan to do tonight (we are hoping to blog at least every other day with a quick report about what we did that day and some photos so that our friends and family can keep track of us on our month long voyage!!:thumbsup2). We also cleaned our entire house so we'd come home to a nice clean home......and....are you ready for this....

....WE PACKED!!

Not we started packing...not we set things aside to pack....WE PACKED!! Our suitcases are fully packed and sitting in the spare bedroom (no room by the front door or they'd be there) and ready to go!! The only thing we have left to do is to throw a few important items in our carry ons.....but otherwise we are good to go!!

......oh....and it's 2:55pm EST on Monday here.....exactly 3 days and 5 minutes from now I will be getting in my car and heading to the airport to catch our flight to begin our vacation!!

Hope you have a great time!

Our lanyard list looks good. Thank you again!

Thanks - I will look for you on the ship!!!

I never played the Pig game, but I am up for anything!!!

Do you have phase 10 cards? We do. But I think we are going to be too busy in this port intensive cruise to goof off playing cards!

Busy day here - it is my birthday! 51 years old, how did that happen :scared1:Another just curious - where is Connie - the lady who is organising the champagne meet??

I AM HERE I AM HERE! I AM HERE!

And I will be packing tiaras and boas!

OT and funny story from yesterday... gotta love kids.
Sitting at church yesterday and 2 rows in front of us sat a young familywith 2 kids. The little boy was about 4 or 5 and the baby girl was about 1.
The little boy was fussing with a toy and making comments like" it's not right, here this is better". A few seconds later he stood his Mr. Potatohead on the banister going up to the pulpit. In view of everyone! :goodvibes He looked at it and started fussing again... Mr Potatohead #2 showed up!:rotfl2:

Again he sat down for a few seconds and took Mr. P #1 down and fixed him, putting 3 arms on him and a hat.:rotfl: By now Howard and I are almost in tears watching this show. Mr. P #2 came down and was adjusted with 2 ears where the eyes should go and a leg for a mouth.:lmao:

I couldnt watch any more ... I was starting to giggle and now tears are running down my face. This continues for the last 5 minutes of services, and before leaving, he told his mom that his friends were not done yet.
I have to admitt... that was the most entering church service I've been too in a long time.popcorn:: What a great day!

Annie:thumbsup2

A few years back the Pastor at our chuch was doing a childrens sermon and was talking about things we do to save time. The young daughter of the youth group coordinators raised her hand with an idea of how they save time. When asked what they do at home she stated "Every Sunday my Mommy and Daddy take a shower together to save time" The whole church just roared with laughter and I think they may have sunk completely under the pew. For the rest of the service little chuckles would rise up periodically.

Some of us are dressing as Disney Villains, some are just wearing purple and some are wearing masks.

As for clothing for dinners, I think some will dress up on formal and formal nights. If you look at the personal Navigator I mentioned in my welcome post, you will learn which nights are considered casual or non formal nights.

There is also a pirate night where some will dress up as pirates or if they are women, female pirates or wenches. On the transatlantic pirates site, you will see the first person, DisneyVegas1 will dress up as Jack Sparrow from the Disney movie Pirates of the Caribbean.

If you have more questions about how people will dress up for dinners, please ask.

I think it would be great for you to dress up as Cruella de Ville if you have a costume.

Yes, I think this cruise will be a MUCH more PARTY group than the Baltics cruise I was on.....did I tell you I was the ONLY guest that dressed as a villain! I even have the wig. All the staff were impressed as well as many of the children.....I guess I am still a kid at heart.

Are we there yet???:cool1::cool1:

Spanx smoothers are on the drying rack along with the 3rd swimsuit and a second pajama top. :cool1::cool1:

Tomorrow I need to finish printing out the rest of the t-shirt transfers for Pal Mickey and my shirts. :thumbsup2

I need just a few more fish extender gifts. I'm going to find a small space bag to put my dirty clothes in. Several of my capri suits are linen and I refuse to get them dry cleaned here and then come out of the suitcase looking like I slept in them. Darn linen!!:):)

Seven and a half work days left. :yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

Ambien.. my doctor gave me a few pills even though I had a bad reaction to them. This was after taking them nightly for several years. I found I was sleep walking and sleep eating. I would have mysterious bruises and a trash can full of candy wrappers. I told Terry that there was no place I could sleep walk to on the plane, and that I would wake up refreshed and ready to tour!!!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

Are we there yet???:yay::yay::yay::yay:

How exciting - a sailboat!!! You are taking a vacation on a boat AND live on a boat!

You're right, I'm taking a vacation on a boat that I don't have to do anything on except exactly what I want to! However, if you ask my DH he will tell you that that's what I do anyway. Here's his take....all jobs on the boat start out as 'blue' jobs until I decide that one could be a 'pink' job then it gets transfer to the pink list. I have to say, he is a sweetie and even does the cooking. I'm a very lucky girl!

How about the changing facilites for the little ones?!? Do they have neat little diaper changing rooms? Or is it just the restrooms?

Steffi.

Our kids were just about 2 when each sailed for the first time, so we mainly changed diapers in the stateroom before and after bed. However, from my last cruise, I think I saw a baby changing table (the type that pulls down from the wall) in the handicapped/family restroom on Deck 3 aft (by the aft elevators and stairs.) Hopefully if there's one, there could be more. They have proper changing tables in Flounder's, but I don't know if they'd let you in to use them.

We always traveled with a portable or disposable changing pad cover, and would use that on top of the bed, floor, or any other flat surface we could find. The hardest diaper change I had to do was at Orient Beach in St. Maarten. The bathrooms had no good or clean place for a kid to lay down, (and I suck at standing diaper changes!) so we just found a spot elsewhere, put some towels down, and changed DD there before we got on the bus back to the ship.

Connie asked me to post a picture she took of our finished lanyard pin on the board.
finishedpin.jpg

The pin looks awesome! Thanks so much.

We would love the recipe card for the Palo Souffle if you don't mind. It seems a shame for you to have to bring it to the ship when we only live about 20 miles apart. Maybe we can work something else out.

Hmm, there was some talk about a post cruise NoVA gathering. Or I could mail the cards to you. The recipes are also available online (were on the CC web page for many years) though it's sometime nice to have the index card size ones.
