WOW .... your hotel looks stunning !!!!!:love:

Gorgeous hotel!! I love the decor!! I would be trying for something like that if we weren't using points!!!

Ah, the only reason I'm at this hotel is that I'm paying with starwood points and the LeMeridian was booked. I'm still complaining that after paying 20,000 SPG points a night they still charge 50 euros a night for a rollaway:mad:.
Still, I can't wait!

 I agree with Sarah....perfect smiley there!

Regarding getting the biggest bang for your buck, some of you may remember that I purchased a Disney gift card at DisneyStore.com with a card that gives me cashback AND via MrRebates.com. That was great free money ($35)!

Yesterday I called DCL and had the GC applied to my OBC, so I don't have to worry about loosing it. I need to purchase another hefty GC for the remainder of my budgeted OBC needs doing the same thing, although the rate on ebates.com is great right now than I can get on MrRebates.com. So if you're looking to stretch that dollar and get points on your plastic, I would recommend this idea.
I've looked at the W before. It's just gorgeous! Lucky you!!!

Hmm, mr.rebates or 6months interest free?...
Thanks, but it's on points!

So true! I've been thinking about the haircut, too! Next Tuesday is my next one, then I get cut and color the day before I leave!! :woohoo:
I just finished coloring mw dw's hair we'll do it again in the beginning of September.
Should I have said that?:confused3

Part 8 has been put up ....Please do not post there till this thread is closed by a Mod ..

Those that need to post information on page 1 that have in the past please do so now ...

Wow ...Part 8 soon ...
TAKE WHAT YOU CAN !!!!

Give Nothing Back!!!
Ha, I bookmarked it now!

 Ooops, hope I really didn't offend anyone......this wasn't the cruise where the French lady walked around wearing um an "ultra-mini'skirt too? I remember that one caused such a stir. At least with dental floss you expect to see something like that somewhere but cheeks hanging out while your eating. Um, no.
You are talking about the 2005 EBPC ???

That family.... had their table next to ours at every meal:scared1::scared1:

Annie:rolleyes1

DISNEY VILLAINS: For those of you near a Target store, this may be for you.

I was at Target tonight, and they had a packet of Disney Villians stickers on clearance from $2.99 to $0.74. They are diecut in the general size of 3"x3" with eight stickers in the pack including Cruella, Ursula, Evil Queen, Maleficent, Lady Tremaine, and Queen of Hearts. They have some glitter on the sticker as well. I was thinking that if you need a cheap accessory for for a polo shirt or blouse for the kids (heck...I'm going to wear one!) on Villains' Night in lieu of a costume, it's at least something! They are in lavender and black packaging in the party supply area.

Well done Kimberly ... you did it pirate:pirate:pirate:

Finallly!:) pirate:

You could give us a tutorial on the cruise :worship::worship:....
It had occurred to me, especially as there are some easy cruise themed jewellery projects that would be perfect to get a feel for the basic techniques. Still, I think DH will have committed if I take my jewellery making stuff.

Corinna

Oh that was such a great idea Sarah had, but we can't have you locked up in the Atlantic.

...For the scrapbook exchange, I just want everyone to know I'm a novice and simple scrapbooker so I'm doing my best to think of something....

I'll be so thrilled with anything I receive! The best part is that every time I look at the finished page that I used your items on, I'll be thinking of all of you!

Trust me that I didn't get super fancy either. I have a mixture of things, with the main item being made on my Cricut.

....I also have PCOS which also makes it very hard to lose weight. I'm going to one my doctor's on Monday and I'm planning on talking to her about my lack of weight loss even though I've been on Weight Watchers and watching my weight for over a year now....

I also have PCOS. The extensive list of things it impacts blows my mind. I hope that there will be some encouraging news for you on Monday!

Here are some photos from Rocky Mountain National Park....

Awesome!! It's so nice to see the Rocky Mountains in the summer since you usually see only winter pictures! Thanks for sharing!!!

Let me understand this. You purchase a gift card on your CC, so you earn points. Then you turn around and apply the gift card to your ship account for OBC?

You also buy the gift card through Mr.Rebates and earn money from there as well?

Please let me know if I have this correct. If I do I am off to explore mrrebates.

Assuming you're using plastic that gives you points for purchases, that's right!! :goodvibes

Note MrRebates' fine print states GCs are not eligible for cash back. I got it though. :confused3 I did have an apparel purchase at the same time I bought the GC on-line, but on my MrRebates account, it has a separate line-item for the GC and the apparel. At the time of my purchase in June, I bought a $300 GC and got a $9 rebate. MrRebates has dropped to a 3% return since my purchase.

Ebates currently has a 5% return. It was 7% around the beginning of the month. Both sites tend to have specials so the return changes from time-to-time. Ebates does NOT have fine print about GC. Since EBates has a better return right now, I'll be using Ebates this next time.

Val, it looks like John and I will both make it to the mini meet. I will copy the parking information to him.

I hope all of you have a fantastic time!!! I'll be thinking about you, and please don't forget the camera!

...We are doing option 2. We are being picked up at the airport and doing a 4 hour tour. We chose what we wanted to stop and see. Then we are eithe going to aqua for dinner or for tapas to a place we went to last time we were there.

I got a group of us to go together for Option #2 for a 4 hour tour as well, Sue. I have a thread on the main forum that outlines it all for you.

Update on the lost hearing aid. No, the theme park didn't find it. But our audiologist has managed to find a pair of brand new hearing aids....She is giving them to us at no cost! :cool1: ..... And she referred us to a state program that gave us a free adapter that allows DS to listen to his ipod through the hearing aids.....

 Oh Monica!!! I'm SOOOOO THRILLED for you both!

Thank goodness for friends and family. I spent the day with my 2 BFF and DD and DGD packing. How do we ever accumulate so much stuff? My living room is filled with boxes - many of them from the local liquor store. What a first impression I am going to make on my new neighbours lol....

They'll be thinking the next party is on Trudy! :rotfl2: Although you'll be living in boxes, it will be a good feeling to have packing closer to being complete!

What a week. I have done two telephone media interviews on Jackie.... Guess who they interviewed? ME! :scared1: ....Anyway, I am hoping her story will make a difference...even if it is for one person. Our hopes are that people will see that anything is possible and that there are services out there that can help you get some quality of life.....

I will post the link when the new interview is aired.

I'm sure that you WILL be making a difference for someone! :worship: I'm glad that Jackie's interview got so much attention that more media outlets want to be in on the story to get it out! I can't wait to see your interview!

....I am signing off - we are headed to Park City for some fun in the mountains.....Sunday we are going to Olympic Park to take some ski lessons, Monday is the taffy museum and Tuesday is the snorkeling in the cave.....

Have an amazing time with your family, Sandi!! It certainly sounds like a great agenda! Wishing you safe travels!

Hi Everybody! Dissers from San Fran - I will be thinking of you and your meet!

Speaking of spanx - you know they do have spanx bathing suits!!

Corinna - I cry too when I see The Magic. I am wondering if I will see her from the air flying into Barcelona!! I hope so!

1DisneyQueen - thanks for the great video on the rehab. What an inspiration she is.

Sarah and Andrea - you are both fine with your scrapbooking. Whatever you do, we will all love! It is for fun and reminders of the trip!

I am signing off - we are headed to Park City for some fun in the mountains. Will miss you all, I know there will be a new part to the thread when I get home. I don't expect you to stop chatting, but maybe someone can leave me a summary - ha ha! Don't think I will not miss you all!!!

Sunday we are going to Olympic Park to take some ski lessons, Monday is the taffy museum and Tuesday is the snorkeling in the cave. Here is the link: http://www.homesteadresort.com/crater
The taffy museum is the one that was on the Food Network last week after the Next Food Network Star. It looked fantastic! Margarita taffys!! Thursday and Friday we are relaxing and Wednesday are the outlets. Have a wonderful week!! Hopefully when I return, I will have my cabin number!

Have fun in Utah... and if you have some time, go visit the Hogle zoo and see the "Liger" named Shasta. Well, she's stuffed now. Shasta is half tiger and half lion. When I was a kid she was alive. Pretty cool looking cat.

Update on the lost hearing aid. No, the theme park didn't find it. But our audiologist has managed to find a pair of brand new hearing aids that were overstocks and a few models behind the current release so they can't be sold as new. She is giving them to us at no cost! :cool1: We just need to purchase new ear molds, which is the part that actually goes in the ear. And she referred us to a state program that gave us a free adapter that allows DS to listen to his ipod through the hearing aids. No more switching between the two which is what led to him losing it in the first place. He had taken his ipod off and didn't fully put the hearing aid back on, then when he realized it in the middle of the ride, he reached up to adjust it and knocked it off.

Great news about the hearing aid and even better news about the iPod connection!!

Must be time to celebrate!!

Noel - I am so glad you are both able to make it. Should you find it easier to park away from the hotel and cab or cable car (though the uphill hike from the cable car is a bit of a hike) we would be happy to drive you to your car.

Val

Why don't you PM me your cell number and I will send you both of ours so we can keep in touch. I will let you know where we are going to be parked when we arrive.

Hi Everybody! Dissers from San Fran - I will be thinking of you and your meet!

We will take lots of pics for posting!!

Park City and Olympic Park are lovely places. We have a close friend who has a house in Deer Valley. John's brother Frank lives close to Park City so we have been there quite a few times.

My other favorite place that is not that far away is the Sundance Resort/URL]. Love to stay there for ski season or the film festival Sundance also has a fabulous Spa if you have time for treatments. I have a great set of coffee mugs that we use every day from Sundance.

GMTA!!

John and I are using Starwood points at the Le Meridien that I acquired when I stayed at the Royal Hawaiian when I did my one and only NCL Hawaiian cruise on the Pride of America. I should have continued to stay at the Royal Hawaiian. Worst cruise ever!!

Great idea, Sarah! You have several that are on my list, too.

Here's mine:
  • MOST OF ALL....don't get sick this time so you CAN complete the list!!
  • See a film in Buena Vista Theater
  • Take a Galley tour
  • Take a Backstage tour
  • Spend a period of time in a deck chair on "secret" Deck 7 instead of just visiting it
  • Use adult pool
  • Use hot tub
  • Relax while watching a show (besides PITC) on the Ariel Vision
  • Enjoy Rainforest Room
  • Get ice cream at Goofy's Galley
  • Hang out at Studio Sea for a game
  • Make flubber when adults are allowed in Oceanears Club
  • Get a character wake-up call
  • Set the propeller alarm clock
  • Get a picture taken with a character in their "vacationing attire" on Deck 9

Here is my list (with stealing a few from all of you).
  • Use the hot tub
  • See a movie in Buena Vista Theater
  • Get some food from Goofy’s Galley
  • Use the propeller alarm clock
  • Use secret deck 7
  • Do the theater tour
  • Use the gym
  • Do a class at the gym
  • Have a drink at Cove Café
  • Make an ice cream cookie sandwich
  • Drink champagne under the stars (I see a meet happening for this)
  • Check out the family beach at Castaway Cay
  • Do some shore excursions not through Disney
  • Order breakfast from room service (last time I got the cheese plate for the 1st time)
  • See a sunrise
  • Check out the kids club areas (and make Flubber if allowed)

Thanks for the congratulations! They are Royal Statistical Society Higher exams - I know right? Its basically like the first year of a Statistics degree over 2 years. I have 4 exams next year (2nd year - plus the resit) which will then give me enough qualifications to become a real Statistician as at the moment I do the work but can't be called one!

I love math and stats. I tried to help a friend in college. I kept saying to him doesn’t this just make logical sense to you. I think it takes a special mind. I considered being an actuary back when I graduated, but I ended up with a different path in life. Who knows maybe I will do something more math based in the future.

I hope you can join Chasity, Gus, Johanna, Monica and Bob & I Friday evening at the Fairmont Tonga Room. We plan to meet about 6:00 for a drink and maybe the happy hour buffet. It should be fun to do a little cruise pre-planning. I warned Chasity to bring a coat, hope she did. I've turned the heater on in the house because 62 inside is just to cool for me. I'll be glad when summer is over and we get some nice weather.
Valerie

I have my windows open again, just had to close them the other night we had lots of wind as it did get a bit chilly.

I am hoping to join all of you. John is still unsure but I will keep you posted. Shall I park at the Fairmont or is there better parking?

Noel - I hope you can join us - it sounds like such fun!!. We usually park at the Fairmont but might try the Masonic if we can get in. We've had to wait a while to get our car at the hotel and the price was $15 an hour. The Masonic is on California, about a block away, across from Grace Cathedral, it is $8 an hour. The Grace Cathedral parking is on Taylor, between California and Sacramento - a bit more of a hike - at $7.50 an hour. Hope to see you.
Val

Masonic garage was going to be my suggestion too. I am personally taking the cable car from work there and probably a cab home. I will be the single woman in her mid-30’s with blonde/brown hair and blue glasses at the bar at least 1 drink in by 6 pm (this week has been a killer). I will also have my Disneyland across the shoulder purse with me. 
I am so excited to meet everyone tomorrow.

Our friends who live in SOMA consider it the "sunny" part of San Francisco.

Yes SOMA & Mission are always sunny even if other areas are foggy. I

Well I'm not having a good day. I was on the back county roads of Lancaster county and when i get back to my office i look at my back tire and the is a bulge in my rear tire. My have been one of the pot hole i hit on fine Pennsylvania road. It cost over $150 for a new tire.
Ah yes, the roads in PA. There are 2 seasons winter and road construction.

For those of you have sailed these longer cruises, how are the wine packages handled? Marc and I have only been on 3, 4, and 5-day cruises and we did take advantage of the package offered. Do they offer a 14-day package? Methinks that might be a bit much.....

We're also considering picking up some wine and/or cava and bringing that on with us. We've never done that before but if we see something that looks good we just might do so while in Barcelona.

I think they only offer the 7 day packages on the 14 day, not sure if you can do the smaller packages.

Undecided about the wine package ... is it better value than purchasing individual bottles ??? Anyone worked it out ????

Such big spenders we are :rotfl2: . I plan to bring on my own champers from Barcelona.

OK so this is one I found. Note that last time they changed from the Normal wine list in Europe to more European wines due to sourcing the wine Oh and the prices are based on last year:

Classic Collection - $189.00
Average per bottle $29.48
Cost of 7 bottles $206.33
Cost of 7 most expensive bottles $238.00
Average saving $17.33
Saving with most expensive$49.00

Premium Package - $292.00
Average per bottle $43.05
Cost of 7 bottles $301.35
Cost of 7 most expensive bottles $343.00
Saving $9.35
Saving with most expensive $51.00

What is does show is that if you aren't ordering the expensive wine you don't save much buying it this way!

When I did the math on my first longer cruise, I thought it better to do the package based upon the wines I was considering ordering (per the math above). However (thanks to the DIS), I now bring my own alcohol and plan to get a case of wine and a bottle or 2 of alcohol in Barcelona prior to the cruise.

Truthfully the reason that I buy things ahead of time or put on board credits on is to get the 6 months no interest on my Disney Visa - see if you put it on the card BEFORE you go on the trip you get this benefit - but anything you put on the card ON the trip doesn't - I found this out after our first cruise - and by doing it a month ahead of time for the cruise we also get disney points to spend on the cruise from our things we prepaid.

Sweet! I will definitely be doing this. I figure I will put enough on for my shore excursions, spa treatments, tips and then round up to an even 100.

OK - all you seasoned travelers... Need some help please!!

We are trying to figure out our first day in Barcelona. I think we are down to 2 options...

1. Taxi to the hotel, drop luggage and grab the HOHO bus and see how the kids do - get off where they want, or just ride and take photos, etc.

2. Half day tour - pick up at airport, drop at hotel, see the sites, etc. and hope that the kids do OK for the 4-8 hours depending on the tour.

Questions on number one... There appear to be 2 different buses - seems odd - anyone know for sure - and is one one better than the other? The internet prices seem good for the 2 day pass - has anyone booked this online before - and were there any issues? Where can you start - at any stop, or are there certain stops that you have to "start" at? And lastly, does anyone know if there is a stop for the HOHO near the Praktik Ramblas?

Questions on number two... Walt (Walt & Di) kindly sent me info (THANKS!!!) for the 8 hour tour. When I looked on the website, they say they stop from 5-30 minutes per attraction. Is that enough time? Is anyone doing a shorter tour? (I am not sure that the kids will last 8 hours...)

Thanks gang!! I appreciate the assistance! This is one of the last things I need to take care of in Barcelona...

If you land early in the morning it is a good chance you room will not be ready. So if you trust the hotel holding your luggage then option 1 is fine. I was a bit paranoid in 2007 leaving my bags and I had the TSA locks on them. So if you are as nuts as I can be about things going missing option 2 maybe better.

Thank for checking. I hope they have an elevator as just eliminating a my hair driver isn't going to make it enough for all my stuff. May need to cut the number of books I planned to read on the trip down to 15. Val

You need some kind of electronic reader device. I normally took 4 or 5 books on every vacation and even with paperbacks, this adds a lot of weight. I got a Sony EReader for my birthday last year and this just fits in my purse. I am in the process of buying ebooks to put on for the cruise.

There are at least two different HOHO companies in Barcelona. We used Barcelona Bus Turístic and were pleased with this. They do three routes:

Northern Route (Red Line):

Placa de Catalunya
Casa Batllo by Gaudi
Fundacio Antoni Tapies museum
Passeig de Gracia
La Pedrera by Gaudi
Sagrada Familia church by Gaudi
Gracia area
Parc Guell by Gaudi (This stop has 1100m walk slightly uphill)
Tramvia Blau - Tibidabo
Sarria area
Monestir de Pedralbes
Col.leccio Thyssen
Palau Reial
Pavellons Guell
Barcelona Football Club
Francesc Macia - Diagonal
MACBA museum
CCCB museum

Southern Route (Blue Line):

Placa de Catalunya
Casa Batllo by Gaudi
Fundacio Antoni Tapies museum
Passeig de Gracia
La Pedrera by Gaudi
Francesc Macia - Diagonal
Estacio de Sants
Creu Coberta
Placa d'Espanya
Caixa Forum
Pavello Van Der Rohe
Poble Espanyol
MNAC
Anella Olimpica - area
Funicular de Montjuïc
Fundacio Joan Miro
Miramar - Jardins Costa i Llobera

Place de la Citadel - Zoo
Pla de Palau
Barri Gotic

Forum Route (Green Line):
From April to September

Port Olimpic area
Platja del Bogatell - beach
Parc del Forum
Parc Diagonal Mar
Poblenou area

We did the blue line as we wanted to get on the bus right by the station. It gave us a good overview of the city. We stayed on the bus for the most part, but got off at Funicular de Montjuïc for a quick ride on the cable car.

Update on the lost hearing aid. No, the theme park didn't find it. I am so glad that you managed to get this sorted out.

Oh that was such a great idea Sarah had, but we can't have you locked up in the Atlantic.

You guys have me going. I actually had a look and you can get a set of travel sized pliers, which would not take up much room. I think I might have to look into this.

Corinna

What a week. I have done two telephone media interviews on Jackie (the person in the link I posted). I got out of the TV interview you guys saw by taking my PT with me to the interview. Today we had another TV interview with another TV station so I took both my PT and OT with me. Guess who they interviewed? ME! :scared1: Those two just stood back and even when I tried to get them in the interview they just smiled. I hope it comes out okay. You feel like a babbling fool talking to the camera.

Anyway, I am hoping her story will make a difference...even if it is for one person. Our hopes are that people will see that anything is possible and that there are services out there that can help you get some quality of life.

Someone asked what I do. I am in rehab. I manage a Day Rehab program. Our patients come 5 days a week for about 6 hours a day. We treat a lot of stroke patients, spinal cord, brain injury, MS, amputees and are now taking LVAD http://www.hearthope.com/?gclid=CJPuopvEgKMCFSH5iAod1yR-bg patients. I am a licensed individual, family and group therapist. My team consists of Physical Therapists (PT), Occupational Therapist (OT), Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), a Registered Nurse (RN) a rehab aide and a operations coordinator.

It is a rewarding field and as you could see from the link I posted earlier. I am always humbled by their journey. When they come to us in a wheel chair and can barely sit let alone take care of themselves to when they leave walking or independent in their wheel chair. Sadly, the mean age of the patients is 42. Our youngest stroke patient was 12.

I will post the link when the new interview is aired.

Thanks for sharing what you do - fantastic work and well done!!! I wish we could all see your interview. I'm sure you will come across non babbling!!!!!

Perhaps we can buy you lunch! :goodvibes:hug:

:

:lmao::lmao::lmao: Hey, that's really pushing the boat out Angie!!!!;)

Thank for checking. I hope they have an elevator as just eliminating a my hair driver isn't going to make it enough for all my stuff. May need to cut the number of books I planned to read on the trip down to 15. Val

Don't forget we have a book exchange going on. I suppose that will depend on whether you have specific books in mind which you want to read.

Here are some photos from Rocky Mountain National Park.

What stunning photos .... it looks quite a bit like the Snowdonia National Park near where we are in Wales but with bigger mountains. Just beautiful.

This is a difficult one. I know when I fly from the states I am always so knackered when I get home after an overnight flight with no sleep that the first thing I want to do is hit the sack. I know kids have more energy and stamina though. Option 2 might be the easier option, but I would definitely opt for a shorter tour than 8 hours.

I can attest to this first hand! When I was 16 I went to Spain on a school trip and did indeed have an adapter, not a converter. When I plugged my hair dryer in that first morning the sparks flew and the hair dryer died - I was stuck in Spain for the next 8 days without one:scared1:

At least we don't have that problem. But with the lower US voltage things just seem to go slower and take longer. I think the only electricals I will bring are chargers for camcorder / camera batteries / ipod plus hair straighteners.

Great news that you reached a less expensive solution on this. :thumbsup2

Thank goodness for friends and family. I spent the day with my 2 BFF and DD and DGD packing. How do we ever accumulate so much stuff? My living room is filled with boxes - many of them from the local liquor store. What a first impression I am going to make on my new neighbours lol. The problem with doing the packing so far in advance is having to live with the boxes. But I have to get this done so I can spend time doing important stuff like cruise planning.:yay: I also got a great surprise today. I got a package from ADL and received a great backpack. Life is good. Trudy

Good luck for your packing .... we really need to move house as we have way outgrown this one, but it is the packing everything up which is putting me off.

You really have a fantastically worthwhile and rewarding job. I must be inspiring to see the progress these people can make when they have the care and support they need.:hug:

GREAT NEWS!

We booked through http://www.pepitotours.com/

We are (at some point) going to have Tapas and Sangria at :Ciudad Condal on Rambla Catalunya 18 at the corner with Gran via.

It is not far from Le Meriaian or Pratik Rambla.

I will be giving the sangria a miss after a notorious evening with friends about 6 years ago when we had a sangria party with a particularly potent sangria and lets just say I was a bit the worse for wear the following day ... it put me off sangria for life.:sick:

Speaking of spanx - you know they do have spanx bathing suits!!

Spanx bathing suit ... I definitely need one of those to keep the excess baggage under control :rotfl2:

Have a wonderful time :thumbsup2

Trust me that I didn't get super fancy either. I have a mixture of things, with the main item being made on my Cricut.

CRICUT ( I wish ) :scared1::scared1: Now I don't even have a professional die cutter or anything like that. I will be using my own version ie. a pair of scissors :rotfl2: Now are we just supposed to be exchanging embellishments for scrapbook pages. Just need to get myself straight with what I am doing.

You guys have me going. I actually had a look and you can get a set of travel sized pliers, which would not take up much room. I think I might have to look into this.

Corinna

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

I only post the wrong list, and took it of.
But i had to post something, Aunty Lynne:banana:
:thumbsup2
:snooty: Normally, I might take offense at that, but I know Paula, she can't help herself. :p She's funny, charming and witty. And a grand old jokester to boot. :lmao: As for the stalking, I only stalk when I'm bored. Besides, you all know the saying - great minds and all :lmao:

And I do give fair warning. I'm more clever on the board. In person, I'm Cinderella, I turn into a pumpkin and clam up. :scratchin or is that turn into one of Ariel's momento's? :scratchin either way, I'm actually very shy in person. :teeth: Really I am. ::yes::

The list.

Don't believe everything Paula says - she's a prankster. LOL - You'll love me. Although I do talk with my hands a lot so stay in front of me and you'll be fine. Sides, your on the road more often than not so I can't :tiptoe: you.
Too funny.
I got the email QUOTE]
What e-mail, I never got it.
Might go for the 6 bottles of water and the rainforest passes for a couple of days.

Undecided about the wine package ... is it better value than purchasing individual bottles ??? Anyone worked it out ????

Such big spenders we are :rotfl2: . I plan to bring on my own champers from Barcelona.
Me too, must get that done!

Oh is that where it was filmed? love that film...big Stephen King fan.....:rolleyes1

She was great in The Piano....and was she is Fly Away Home too? Great film :)

I was awake at that time too Lynne, decided I may as well go to the gym.......also had a swim.....this new regime is going well so far!!:cool1:

:littleangel:
Glad its going goo, we still have 7 weeks !
.

We bought a package on the EBTA in 2007 and thought it good value compared with buying bottles or glasses individually. If you did not finish a bottle at a meal, you could either take it away with you or finish it the next night when it was back to the next restaurant on your return.

Yes, but I cant really do it I dont think, I can do pilates, is it like that? They did have yoga last time I crusied.

Yoga is pretty simple, just not always easy. It involves stretching in various positions ("asanas") with the intention of limbering your spine and working your internal muscles as well as the external ones. I do it in combination with lifting weights, and it's a great complementary exercise. There's a yogic saying: "You are as young as your spine."

I'd suggest you try it. It's both very challenging, and very relaxing (once you're done). The key is to go as far as you can into the positions, but not to do more than you can. At no time should you feel pain, although strain is perfectly OK.

See you there!

Richard
If you will have a newbie, i would love to try.
My dogs loved to walk and catch tennis balls. They wanted to walk, rain or shine!!
I dont give Orly balls, he is an idiot, starts fighting over them now since he fought with my pals lab over one.seems to bring out the worst in him,
Well the rain finally stopped and Tony and I have just been for a walk along the sea front. We stopped off at the stream to feed our local ducks and they went crazy for the full loaf of bread we were giving them ... about 50 or more ducks turned up. They were as excited as I am planning for this cruise ... and all Tony and I talked about on our walk was " when we are on the cruise we will ....... " type conversations. I'm beginning to think we have one track minds !!!
I know, its all good though.

What is does show is that if you aren't ordering the expensive wine you don't save much buying it this way!
Sarah, thats EXACTLY what I was going to say.

Thanks for the compliment. With all the catching up, I forgot to tell you guys about what my DH did for me.

My DH John surprised me with a new computer when I came home yesterday. I have been debating about getting a new notebook since my Sony Vaio is getting pretty old. I want the new Sony but don't like the price tag for what I want.

John bought me a new HP Pavilion DM3-1035dx refurbished for under $400. I just want something really light to take on the cruise and it is just the ticket!!
That is so sweet, once len came in from work, he said "Ive got you a present" I got all excited as he NEVER buys prezzys, it was a new plug for the sink he handed me. :confused3
Now I know better.

Val
We go to the fairmount st andrews with work for weekends, man, it is an amazing hotel.
Here are some photos from Rocky Mountain National Park.
