:lmao::rotfl2: Have never talked with an RVer who had not had sewer issues. :sad2::rotfl: There was a guy in an RV park in Salem, OR who had his arm up in there past his elbow. He had given up on gloves, folks around said "you don't want to shake hands with that guy!" :rotfl::rotfl2: Our thought was "We are glad we are not that guy!" :rotfl2: He was NOT the proverbial Happy Camper.

:eek::eek:

Amazon has had Dinosaur Silly Bandz on sale recently, plus there are several brands of knock off dinosaur bandz. I finally broke down and bought some for my son recently. Amazon.co.uk has them too, though they don't seem to be as discounted as they are starting to get around here.

Thanks I'll check them out!:woohoo:

When is wishes night and where?

When is wishes night and where?

Wishes is the firework display in Magic Kingdom. You need to check the park hours for times and days and phone the reservations to book.

I seem to remember the 'party' was about an hour before Wishes so you had more or less finished to allow you to see the fireworks. The reservation team know the timings for each night as Wishes times do change.

There is a terrace at the front/side of where you eat. It isn't the very best spot to view, but really really good and much better than most spots, and not many people are allowed at the party at one time. Tinkerbell flies overhead and you can get a great picture if you know what you are doing.

We booked(though I didn't know at the time) on the night Spectromagic was also running(The lit parade), and whilst you couldn't see much, you could see a little and get the feel. Some people watched that at the top of Main Street and then managed to get to the Desserts too.

You can't just turn up and it sells out quickly.

Thought I'd stop in and say hello from the new digs! We arrived in San Miguel this past Wednesday....unfortunately, due to the weather in the Gulf of Mexico these past weeks, there has been LOTS of flooding in northern Mexico where our household goods are. The trailer is stranded there with approximately 12,000 other trucks trying to cross. We came south from New Mexico so we didn't have to deal with the nasty stuff but now we're just waiting....

All in all, life is still good! Met up with some of our new friends last night for a pizza-tasting party to help with some recommendations for a new restaurant that's going to open near us.

Too many pages to back and check up on (I thought y'all MIGHT slow down a bit - WRONG!) so will start from here on out! If there's anything you think I should know about (no eyepatches, please!) fill me in!

Michael

Michael glad you're there safely even if it isn't running as smoothyly as you hoped!

For those interesting in watching the Atlantic for potential hurricane activity, here's a really helpful radar satellite view of the tropical Atlantic off of Africa, which is where (I think) most hurricanes originate:

http://www.weather.com/maps/news/atl..._animated.html

I watched this site last year during the hurricane season :surfweb:, and what seemed to happen at the height of the season is that storms (possibly thunderstorms) would boil up over west Africa, and coming rolling out into the Atlantic near the Equator. From there, I would guess some of them will grow into hurricanes. Accordingly, you might want to bookmark this site and check from time-to-time. I have it programmed into my Mac widgets.

This is purely out of interest. Disney is not going to risk the safety of their passengers or their ship in a hurricane. If necessary, they will re-route around them. :cool2:

Richard

Site doesn't seem to be working for me???

We'd originally booked the EBTA, then read all the reports of the bad weather in May 2007 and got concerned with the EBTA being in April, so we switched to this one.

Probably a bad time to say but on the EBTA in 07 they said that was the best time to sail the Atlantic then we had rubbish weather!

I am not going to worry too much about the weather, heck Ive been in the north sea in december, had to wedge myself in the bunk so I didnt roll out, It was fun.

We will be on the disney Magic and not the superfast ferry so:confused3

Its all good:cool1:

They probably don't read the DISboards.

Woody
I've used my debit card and one of my credit cards in Europe many times "as is". I never heard of some kind of a special chip needed in European ATMs (and I guess my card hadn't either). No problems using it in multiple ATMs. The four digit pin number is a requirement, though.

Hey, guess what I'm doing tomorrow?..........

....going to Dover (UK) to wave the Magic off!!:banana::banana:

Hope to take some photos too....I'll tell her we'll see her in 9 weeks!:thumbsup2:yay::woohoo:

:littleangel:

*woohooo* ENJOOOY!!!! And YES! Pics please!!

Their web cam does not work so I could not see the ship in port. I will look forward to your photo on FB

That comment needed a warning ... good grief, I nearly choked! :rotfl2:

Usually I travel without hardly any cash but I wasn't comfortable doing it this trip due to the transition to the chip cards. :rotfl2:

Oh. Are banks in Europe just now transitioning to cards with chips? Is this new? That might be why my cards have always worked but now you all are talking about needing a "chip". I'll certainly check with my bank to be double sure before I leave.

That's why I'm reading this board. So much to learn!

Somehow I picked up the wrong quote. You can see I'm not familiar with this process.

Also, I blame you young girls, you FORCED me to buy some black and purple fabric to make a dress for Villain Night......I wouldn't have had to except for your photo's!:laughing::laughing:

I can't wait to see the finished result.

Looking forward to seeing it, and all the others. Lets just hope DCL don't decide our Theme Night is something different!!!;)

Well, if they do, we just have to make our own theme night in the same way as we do with the Mickey Mouse Club Night.

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Love your pun.

We actually experience 30-40 foot swells on one of our Disney cruises; the captain spent the whole cruise skirting around the 2-3 hurricanes in the area at the time. I had to get up in the middle of the night for a potty run and woke up thinking, "Why am I walking uphill?" :lmao:

Yes, we were on that cruise, too. However, even though the waves were higher on that cruise, this was nothing compared to the last sea day on our Med cruise.

That is the one... I liked a lot...

But still not sure how much money to spend on my formal dress...

(I am also still thinking about my "dirndl"... )

I love this dress.

Hope this isn't a let's frighten Marilyn session :rotfl:

I will refrain posting some of the photos and videos that I have. Still, we should be fine this time round. After the bumpy riden in 2008, I had 4 cruises where the sea could be best described as mill pond. So as I had a bumpy ride on the last cruise, we should be fine in September.

I was wondering if any of the guys are dressing special for villians night. I'm trying to get Bob to bring his Jafar costume, he wore it one halloween when he taught high school science. He says no one else will be wearing one so he isn't either. val

DH won't dress up at all and I will go with a purple and black theme rather than a full-blown costume.

I am glad that you have safely arrived in your new home and hope that you are soon reunited with your belongings.

I have a similar dress to this for the cruise..it's pink though
:thumbsup2

I am so jealous. My original plan had been to visit the Magic in Dover at some point, but decided that I really could not do it. It would break my heart to see the Magic sail away without me. After our cruise on the Norwegian Jade, we happened to be in Southampton on a day when the Jade was there and decided to head to Mayflower Park to see her sail away. That was hard enough and I am nowhere near as attached to that ship as I am to the Magic.
