Just thought I’d let you all know how I’ve spent my day today, as I’m sure you’ll not believe it.

Decorating Christmas Trees and dressing Christmas dining tables. :santa: :santa: :santa:

Yes it’s barely July and super hot but I’m still in the Christmas spirit.

Well, in fact the company I work for is setting up a Press Event of all our Christmas lines to show of to the UK press, who, believe it or not, are already selecting what products they wish to feature in their seasonal glossy magazines.

I’m a Visual Merchandiser so it’s my job to dress room sets and dining tables to give an overview of the trends we’ll be selling over Christmas and hopefully encourage them all to feature our stock in their publications.

It’s good fun, though a little weird setting up Christmas in this weather.

SW

I am not a visual merchandiser but am already planning on my trees in the house this year - and changing around each room's theme for the holidays this year. Each room (including bathrooms) have a theme - last year I had a total of 18 trees of various sizes - 5 of which were large or live :) But Christmas is my business too so I like to stay up on it - our house outside wins competitions in our town every year - and this year will be even bigger.

This week while the kids are gone I am working on finishing up my book on Christmas Gift Giving. If anyone want to help edit - let me know :)

One of my new trees this year will be a tree with ornaments from places we have traveled to, and our disney cruise line ornaments.

Our bathroom will be decorated in Disney this Christmas and bought quite a few ornaments in WDW in april.

I will start putting trees together in October up in the attic after the cruise - and we will also start putting up our outside lights in October also! All the decorations - inside and out are up and ready by the first Sunday of Advent.

Oh I meant to answer a question about the candy - I bought the snack size baggies and they hold 4 pieces of my candy just perfect so that is what I am doing - if there are more than 4 in a cabin I will add another bag.

Hi all

I’m home from Disneyland Paris, Although at times I thought I was visiting Disney “on the surface of the sun” resort.

BOY IT WAS HOT HOT HOT!!!!!

WDW was super hot when we were there a couple of weeks ago. Should never be there in June . . .LOL. The things we do for our love of the mouse :)

Thought I would share some photos of some cute friends we have staying with us at the moment while their family is in Florida:

Super cute!

Hi new to this thread. Doing b2b, Med and WBTA and then 3 weeks at AKL, all this to celebrate hubby's 60th. Spent all weekend just reading part 7. Nice to be part of one big happy Disney family. Although we now live in Perth, Australia, originally from London, Hubby from West Brom, and yes we adore Thorntons Chocolate. Hoping to pick up some whilst we pass through Heathrow Duty Free. Hope to meet you all soon.

WELCOME! I am Penny, traveling with Mrs.Mork/Angie and Dr. Hugs/Dennis.

Formal wear. I have decided to pack my black skirt and bring two different tops. Anyone else doing this?

I will have black pants and formal tops to go with. I am looking for a skirt that is longer then the one i have but might have to deal with the calf length I have.

Maybe that's where the phrase "Christmas in July" comes from!:santa:

Good morning everyone :goodvibes

After watching Titanic last evening one of my first jobs when I get in my cabin will be to work out the fastest route to the lifeboats :scared1::scared1:

I am hopefully getting by new computer today which will mean I can stop having to use DS's laptop, and more importantly I can start looking at making some door magnets. :woohoo:

Rick Steve's did a show about Barcelona and Catalunya you can watch it on Fancast.

I need to start inventorying clothing and shoes to see what I might need to get. I hate shopping as I struggle to find anything that fits so it consumes way more time then it should. So I hope to be able to wear stuff I already have rather then needing to buy a lot more clothing for the cruise.

We are probably doing the Deluxe Dining Plan for the first time. We are only at WDW for 5 nights and won't be venturing offsite. We will have breakfast and most evenings we will have dinner in a signature restaurant. Lunchtime, I might use some of the snack credits to graze at the stalls at the Food and Wine Festival.

Actually, I make jewellery, too, but very different in style. I tend to do illusion style jewellery.

Corinna

Can you use snack credits at the Food and Wine festival stalls? I didn't know that.
We need photo's of your jewellery.....

I sorted out my dress for Villains Night today. I had bid on the perfect Monsoon dress on Ebay, but did not get it. I had a look in town today, but the only dress that kind of caught my eye was silly expensive. So I decided to order another dress from China. I have ordered this dress, but with black lace instead of the white lace:

Gorgeous dress!

It’s good fun, though a little weird setting up Christmas in this weather.

We set up Christmas Down Under in that weather every year! :rotfl:

from what I read it is possibly going to work iPhoto. I am also thinking today that since you can save the pages as a .jpeg you could take the "pages" and insert them as a picture into a company that sells books also - now mind you I think the better quality is with Creative memories from other companies I have seen from the books so to me it is worth the extra money BUT if you are not able to print the books because you live outside US/Canada - I would give it a try.
Thanks Krisann, I'm going to give it a try! :thumbsup2

My gosh, Sounds like Christmas is fun at your house! I love having the decorations, but I am always ready for them to come down by New Years, they start get annoying, all that extra dusting! :rotfl:

Clothes are only made to look good on a coat hanger (model), so if you are a normal girl like the rest of us, nothing ever fits perfectly. I have to try on 20 pairs of jeans to find one that doesn't give me a plumbers crack......I have some junk in my trunk :lmao:

We went there on vacation last year , pm me if you want it from a tourist angle x
ps we LOVED it.

Thanks!! I'll PM you in a sec!

We live in San Francisco and would be happy to help you with making your trip to our city as nice as possible. Can you give me some details about your stay? How much time to tour, what you hope to see etc.

Val

PM on the way! Thanks!!

We're doing the Segway tour on the 17th at 20:00 (8:00 pm) We booked through SegwayTours.cat I believe I went to Segwayofbarcelona.com

A night tour sounds fun!! Thanks for the info. I'll let you know if we can work it out!

I received my Pacsafe bag on Saturday. I ended up with the grey and red bag as I had to get it from Ebay. This was not my first choice of colour as I do not particularly like red, but this is actually a beautiful shade of burgundy. I really love this bag. It got a good test run today. It is the perfect size and I cannot see how anybody could get into there who is not supposed to. So if you were considering getting a Pacsafe bag, but have been sitting on the fence, I can really recommend this. I have the Pacsafe Daily Safe H100.

Love that dress!!!!!

Oh, you are starting me off now. That is such a great idea. Perhaps I could do that with just the different tops to one skirt though.:)

That's my idea too! I do have a couple casual dresses, but mostly my travel pants and a few tops. Just get used to seeing me in the same thing over and over.

Don't you just love it! I forgot about the tiara :rotfl2: Something else to look out for unless I wear my wedding one. I think I had better start selling some stuff or else I will have no room in the wardrobe for all the new ones !!

Remember a few years ago when we all go together in Diversions for the Champagne Girls party? We ALL had pink boas and plastic tiaras....I still have mine! And Cherie dressed as Tinkerbelle?

I end up taking pictures of everything we pack...but generally when we are wearing it at some point during the trip! Great suggestions!!

When I told Dennis that we need to inventory each bag, he said we should take photos as well. Great minds!

I love this dress!! :lovestruc It is beautiful.

Kristi

Yes, it is!

That sounds like a fun job!!

Well folks, I'm off to the land of the mouse tomorrow. Actually I'm staying at my son's house in Orlando until we head back to Long Island for his wedding. His fiancee is coming up here tomorrow. We are coming back on the 20th. Wedding is the 25th.

See you on the flip side. Actually I will be able to talk to you from his house.

Have fun and enjoy the wedding as well!

Whoa!! I barely manage getting one tree up and changing out the towels in the bathrooms! Dennis did get some outside lights strung the past year...first time in our 42 years of marriage that we have had outside lights. :sad2:

Still busy with unpacking and other catching up but here are some photos my nephew Rob posted of the wedding rehearsal dinner at the Paradise Ridge Winery, the Vintners Inn and afterward at the bar at the John Ash Restaurant.
