Now why didn't I think of looking there !!!! :rotfl:

Seems Dubai, Denmark round off our list.

And there are a whole bunch of Canadians.

Sorry i didn't remember you all, It's just I think everyone on these boards lives inside my laptop

Since we were talking about stats - The most expensive regular toll for canal passage to date was charged on May 16, 2008 to the Disney Magic, which paid US$331,200.[25][26] The least expensive toll was 36 cents to American adventurer Richard Halliburton, who swam the canal in 1928.[27] The average toll is around US$54,000.

Catching up while i eat dinner.

2011 Cruises
We currently booked for the Dream 3/3 cruise and the last Alaska. Were thinking to changing the Dream to the Med Cruise which includes the Canne 7/30

Amanda

We are on the 3/3 dream! That is ashlyn's birthday - we hope to get a suite and have a big party! Let me know later if you are still going to be cruise that cruise - I have checked in with the meet for it from time to time but I have to get this one out of the way first!

Have a safe trip.

Its 54 in edinburgh, i will gladly swap also.

I think it may have been the comp at work, I think I have ordered them.

Thanks again guys.

yep you are on the list - and yesterday it was 90 degrees in Jackson, TN with a heat index of 105 - humidity was around 70%!!! Yuck - it is even yucky to get into the pool unless we have the COLD well water creating a fountain.

Glad to know I was part of History!

Just back from San Francisco! Thanks to everyone that met us at the Tonga Room!!! We had a great time!! I'll try to post some pic's over the weekend. Tomorrow is my 34th birthday  so we'll be going out to dinner with some friends and then it's back to work on Thursday! I'm not ready to be 34 or back in the swing of our normal routine!

Took me 6 hours to read the 100 pages I got behind while away! Luckily, I was able to get all our laundry done and pay some bills during that time as well!

Noel- I'm so glad that you are ok! Hope you get all your repairs done without much hassle!

Can't believe how quickly it's all coming now! It just seems like yesterday when we were 18 months out! What happened??? :upsidedow

Yeah....Jason and I will definitely be booking at least one set of 2012 dummy dates while we're aboard the ship. We're already booked on three cruises in 2011 (the LA to Vancouver Repo B2B w/ the first Alaskan and then the Labor Day 4-night cruise aboard the Dream)....but we know the ship is doing Hawaii in 2012 probably and we're hoping that maybe even some other fun trips OUT of Hawaii, too...so we're gonna book dummy dates (since itineraries will certainly not be out yet) and then transfer them when we know more.

Of course we may also be trying to rebook our 2011 cruises aboard, as well, to get discounts and OBC----so the onboard booking desk is going to love us LOL

Got a friend who's trying to talk me into those. Holding out still. :) Not sure how much longer I can though.
good idea!

:thumbsup2 Right behind you - planning on booking 3-4 on this one.
Glad to know I was part of History!

Hey! I was there for all of them. Prior to that it was the 2005 one that won it then 2008 came. But it was fun! Wasn't there like close to 750 DIS'ersor much more on that? Big group.

WOW! Still open.

I renting a car from Avis after the cruise and i decided to the to check the rates again and the price drop $30. So I cancel the first reservation and made a new one. You may want to check yours to save a little money.

Need to keep this going now for a bit. At least while a pirate be lurking soon!!!

....oh then on Friday we're going to wave the Magic off at Dover again....:woohoo:

Oh how fun to do it again!!! Just yesterday I left my friend Danielle a message to let her know you have pictures of their embarkation in Dover. I'm sure she'll be very excited!

.... My jewellery for formal night finally turned up today and is utterly gorgeous. I rushed out of the house this morning and never put any jewellery on so I am wearing the set now. I can't wait to wear this with my evening gowns.....

....DH is starting to get in on the excitement as well.....This morning he said that he had seen a t shirt somewhere with the caption "Six out of seven dwarfs are not Happy".....I can't wait to see his face when he sees this.

Corinna

What a great surprise for your hubby!!!

I'm glad your pink and blue jewelry didn't get lost in the mail. I just can't wait to hunt you down to see this beautiful gown and jewelry!

....Ok are you keeping stats for this cruise too?? I would love to know where we are now!....

I would love to know, too! When I joined the thread in October 2008, I started a list, but it was just impossible to maintain it and it seemed others were managing the incoming with the website, so I gave it up. If I can say so myself, what I had kept was fun and helpful to use. It was always nice to tell a newbie that we had # of other sons and/or daughters the same age as theirs. The master cabin list was helpful as well and Sue's is nearly identical to what I did. Someone created a deck plan that highlighted each cabin where a DISer was staying. That visual map really helped with FE gift distributions and just to intentionally do a drive-by to see their decorated doors.

Just for the heck of it, I put Barcelona and and Funchal on weather.com as two of my favorites. Now, whenever I check my local weather, I see what the weather is like there. Right now it is 77 in Barcelona and 70 in Portugal. I'd take either of those over the 88 here in Indiana.

I've done the same with my Yahoo IM window! It is fun to check it out and dream of being there!

I vote-- group,,,, week-- 2,,, night--- 11

Thanks!! I do have you down from when you previously voted. I had just posted the list prior to getting your response in! I'll get a new update on that Post in Chapter 8 later tonight.

....We love Hawaii and encourage people not to miss it. It is nothing like the Caribbean. If you want to see multiple islands on one trip, cruising is the only way I would do it (but never on NCL again)....

I'm so glad you posted this because one of the options I was considering was cruising Pride of America because it does island hop with no "wasted" time of cruising the ocean to or from Hawaii. Was it really that bad??

I love seeing all those numbers on the PC tolls! Unbelievable!

So I had some fun with my return flights from Orlando to Phila today.

Glad you got notice early enough! I found it much harder to get flights home for this cruise than from any others. We've cruised DCL 4 times, twice since December, and we were able to get flights for around $100 each way on United with little problem. At the time we bought our BCN flight, USAir was charging $100 from MCO to DCA, but I held out hoping for United into IAD. Recently, United has changed the flight we usually took (around 11:30am) to an 8:45am flight (too early as you mention), that left us two options (1:30 and 6:30) for $200 each person. Then the 6:30pm flight disappeared!

I finally gave up and booked USAir to DCA this week for $80/ticket. Luckily my Star Alliance Silver status still gets us two free bags on USAir, though I did have to pay extra for window seats. But it was so frustrating watching all the changes in United's flights over the past few months.

2012 - how about the inagural of the Fantasy :)

Last rumor I heard (from Andrew_Derek UK) was that early bookings would open on the last week of September for Gold and above CC members. That means they'd open while we're on this cruise!

Is anyone planning to cruise in 2011 ... I am thinking about a Med cruise for Tony's 50th birthday ... we have to celebrate him becoming an OFFICIAL geezer as opposed to a "you know what" :rotfl2:

We're cruising in August 2011 on a Dreamy 5nt double-dip cruise. We picked the cheapest 5nt cruise, and everyone else must have done as well since it's been sold out up to Cat 5 since December. I know because I tried to rebook my reservation while onboard in December (just 2-3 weeks after bookings opened) and have not been able to do so (though I do have a dummy booking primed just in case.)

I can imagine many Europeans think we Americans are pretty inhibited about our bodies. I am not too modest but only wish I looked better in the buff.

There is a song "I Just Don't Look Good Naked Anymore"...you can google it. Fits us to a T. :lmao:;)

Aren't there rumours of Hawaii in 2012?

Yes! :yay::woohoo:

Are you on the 2:15 SW flight 1366? because we are! It's easier to just pay the 10 bucks each to get in front of the A line.

So....how are they going to handle this when ALL of us pay the $10 to get in the front of A line? We paid it also. ;):)

:rotfl::lmao:

My sister, a TA says the speculation is DL is going to do a tour in Asia with stops in Hawaii as part of a repositioning.

Val

OH!!! :dance3::woohoo::yay: That would be really cool!!!! We will have to save our $$ for that. :woohoo:

Glad to know I was part of History!

The cruise we met you all on!

Hi everyone!
Just popping by to let you know that I'm booking this cruise as a last minute 'sanity saver' for myself!!! My name's Karen, I'm from the UK and this will be my 6th DCL cruise and by far my longest to date! I expect to be in a Cat 7 with late dining.

It'll be a solo trip (my first and I'm more than a little nervous TBH) as the primary purpose is to escape from the Crazy Castle my home has become during a problematic and protracted building/refurb project - such a long and boring story.... :sad2: Anyway, I'm sailing in search of R&R plus the chance to spend some time with friends old and new!!

So I guess the most important thing at this stage is to ask if someone could let me know what (if anything) is left to sign up for - I would be most grateful. :goodvibes

OK, the introduction's over - better go and compile a packing list. Can't believe I'm doing this!!! :woohoo:

Welcome!

Hi fellow cruisers, I'm Sue, a new cruiser, mother of 'noworriesmate' and grandmother to Nicholas and Lillian. I'm delighted to be joining them on this Atlantic crossing, and certainly look forward to meeting you all.

Welcome!
