OK...I've been off the boards for the week and I had over 40 pages on Thread #6 and 16 here to catch up on (plus all the other threads I follow...yipes!!). I have skimmed (and I do mean SKIM) all the pages. I am back now and will get back into posting in the next several hours.

I know some people have emailed and PMed me with updates for the lanyard list or to request lanyards for the trip. I will be getting to all those emails and PMs in the next several hours, too!

Had to finish catching up first now we have to find something to eat and I have to rest my poor eyes!!! :lmao:

I personally would like to look at the Navigator sooner than later. People may want to add things before the cruise or changes may be made, but you don't have to print it out until the final version.

I agree.

Thank you for responding. My concern is that they might be "misappropriated" like sometimes happens with magnets or FE gifts.

Can you slip a postcard under the door? Or is it too tight a fit?

Wear this outfit.

Oh my!! :rotfl2:

I was thinking about bringing a tennis racket, would that be weird??

I want to pack veeeery light. And even consider only packing for about one week and then use the washing machines.
But I came up with this idea of buying me a "Dirndl" for one of the formal nights. A typical Bavarian dress...You guys know what I mean?
So, maaaaybe. I'll :hippie:do that.

ONLY IF YOUR HUBBIE WILL WEAR the LEIDERHOSEN!

Alfred Hitchcock! I remember that movie. I got attacked by a bird once and I just flapped my arms around my head area and it flew away. It was very scary - it sounds funny, but it does happen. Mine was just a little bird and I think it was sick. After I went into the house, it committed suicide by diving into my glass patio door trying to come after me. I had nightmares for a few days! I am not a bird fan.

I don't care much for birds either, now even less than before. I know it sounds really weird, but it wasn't a fun experience.

I completely agree re using a TA versus doing everything yourself. We had the opportunity to use points/get points on the credit card using USAA, so that was the most economical. They were fantastic to work with, though, with doing the discount.

Connie, if I tell Ann Chuck isn't bringing a suit, do you think I can leave mine behind?

Albert

NO, Albert, you are ENGLISH!!!!!! Of course, you've been to the states often enough for us to adopt you as our near relatives, so......OK!

AND he IS wearing his fancy dancy sports jacket and silk shirt.........that's about as good as I can get for ole Chuckie!:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

hi everyone!

Here are the final fe groups. As you get assigned cabin numbers, please let me know so that i can update the lists!

All but a couple of people have confirmed. I will continue to try and get confirmations for those that have not. If you are in touch with any of the ones that do not have a yes in the confirmed column, please ask them to pm me with a yes or no.

can the newbies (those who have just booked) make our own group? If we're not in a group, does that mean we don't get any fe gifts? What if a person wants to give to everyone? Connie

Holy Cow! 10 pages in 10 hours!! I won't be able to keep up at this rate! I am sure that some of my replies ae duplictes as I skimmed through, so feel free to skim on this one!!

Good Morning everyone. Hope you don't mind another last minute joiner. Yesterday we found this great deal on this cruise and decided we couldn't pass up the opportunity. I booked my cabin and air ticket. Now I'm in a panic. HELP

We are coming in to Barcelona on the 14th and need help deciding where to stay and what to do. We have traveled in the US and on Disney cruises but never Europe and we don't speak anything but English. Disney lovers are the best so I feel ok reaching out for your help and asking you to share your knowledge with us.

Look forward to meeting all of you and sharing the excitement of planning for this cruise. Oh, we live in San Francisco so if any of you are coming to the west coast when the Wonder is here next year we would be happy to share info about our side of the country. We just came back from an Alaska cruise and have learned so much about that beautiful state.

Bob & Val

Welcome!! Pages 1 and 2 hold tons of info!

September 6 is my son Trevor's birthday also... can you request a cake in the dining room?

Janice

Yep - and you can tell your server, or slip them a note if you want it to be a surprise!

I was thinking maybe we could have 1 person per fish extender group with a noteboard on their door that would say the room changes for that group. If they themselves moved rooms they would need to notify just the people in their groups so not too many, and the others in the group would be able to find the rooms easily by starting off here.

Any volunteers?????

Also would need one for the list of Secrete Mickey Participants and one for the Postcard Exchange I guess as well

I was planning on tracking the FE groups and printing up lists. My thought was an oversized envelope outsde the door - open and take a sheet... Changes can be written on the outside of the envelope.

Thoughts?

I did find it on post #13!! Mea Culpa:worship::worship:

I think we should move your post #15 to at least post #2 in the next thread. Todd's post #1 is really long and I think lots of other posts underneath get missed.

Just my thoughts...
:surfweb:

It may be time to scale down post 1 to just what is relevent... Oh Captain...

On the EBTA, we had one centrally located dry erase board for cabin changes and other announcements. Cabin changes were noted:
NAME . . . . . CABIN
Mickey 123 - xxxx
Donald NY - xxxx
Goofy abc - xxxx
Unfortunately, some other cruisers (either accidentally or on purpose) smudged the information. This happened often.

We found it was better to have the cabin changes on a sheet of paper (held with a magnetic clip).

I suggest not posting a copy of the Excel spreadsheet (the full cabin list) on a cabin door. That information should kept within the DIS group.

On our WBTA, people could note their information and groups as follows:
NAME . . . . . CABIN . . . . . GROUPS
Mickey 123 - xxxx - Kiwi Group
Donald NY - xxxx - Postcard Exchange
Goofy abc - xxxx - Kiwi Group, Secret Mickey
My two cents.

Woody

Perhaps I should have said it like this (instead of using xxxx for cabin numbers).

On our WBTA, people could note their information and groups as follows:

NAME . . . . . CABIN . . . . . GROUPS
Mickey 123 - 2345 - Kiwi Group
Donald NY - 6789 - Postcard Exchange
Goofy abc - 7890 - Kiwi Group, Secret Mickey

Woody

Again - see comments above. For the FE's I was planning on tracking and having slips available. I am ok with whatever, just let me know!

OK, so I have been takinga ll my PM;s and exporting them and then clearing the inbox and sent... Someone volunteered to take the last minute FE signups - and I can't find who that was!! :confused3 If if was you, please let me know - I have one person and I think there could be others that want to join!!

Safe and happy 4th to all my US DIS family!!

Someone volunteered to do this - I am trying to find the PM with who...

Do any of you crafty folks have patterns for a fish extender, or even dimensions? I have a sewing machine that I received for my birthday and so far I have mastered placemats ( I know, I'm the new Martha Stewart). Or just point me in the right direction re links!).

It was fun to look for a program that would do the job. I have learned a new skill and get to help out Sarah and the cruise group too. I was feeling lazy because I wasn't doing anything for the group and now I get help out in a small way. :surfweb: :flower3: :thumbsup2

Pj

I think you are doing the group a great service!! It takes a lot of time to input all the information. Thanks for all your hard work!! :thumbsup2

There is a no sew one with a pattern on the main board (http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2068966 is a great "everything yoyu ever wanted to know about DCL cruising" and then http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=30302583&postcount=609 for a no sew FE.)

Also - if you want to buy one EBay search for fish extender should get Gradys mom (I think that is the name!!) She does FABULOUS work!!

Hey KrisannB - you ready to run with the last FE group? Please let me know. If you are not, I will get it started! (Did you pick a fruit and color? :goodvibes )

Can you slip a postcard under the door? Or is it too tight a fit?

It should work. I've had shutters folks slip photos in the photo folders under my door, and I think I've had our account slipped under the door as well (like at a hotel) so a postcard should fit easily.

I've never used USAA to book a cruise, though I love going through their website to get travel insurance. It's cheaper, and the customer service seems better, since TravelEx has a dedicated customer service number and people for USAA customers.

I have the sewing instructions, but no sewing machine anymore. Send me a PM or e-mail with your e-mail, and I will send you a link for the document. (just click on my screen name, <-- and then chose a communication option.)

Hey everyone :) I just got caught up on this new thread. I just skimmed it so if there is anything I need to react to, please let me know.
Welcome to all the newbies! Hugs to anyone who needs them
Here is the day I've had: My History Midterm exam essay was due today. I printed off the directions from the site and thought it was crazy that I had to answer 11 questions all with 2-3 paragraph essays!! But I buckled down and got to work. Amand came home around 530 and I started expalining on how horrible I thought it was that I had to do all these essays questions. She asked if maybe I had misread the instructions. Of course I had and I only had to do one! I had 10 of 11 completed btw. All that stress for nothing! Going forward, I'll make sure I read the instructions twice.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

Annette
