I was amazed when Glenn told me about the left hand thing - and I was floored when he said that it woiul dmean re emgineering the phone... What a crock...

I used to have a blackberry - swapped to the iphone when the BB died. I have had god luck with mine, except that I can't seem to move my music frm my touch to the phone... So I am carrying both - which is fine as if we are out and Becca wants to play she can use the touch...

I am also looking at moving movies on to both for the flight over. I am hoping that we will all sleep but I don't think that we will as we are leaving at 6pm... But if a movie helps the kids chill out and sleep than so be it... Me, I am going to ask my doc for Ambien... :) Any other ideas? I hate to fly, so anything I can do to help myself relax and sleep would be appreciated. I am looking at a first class sleeper - just haven't found anyone that has used one, so I am hemming and hawing about getting it...

You could try melatonin or an OTC antihistamine like Benadryl.

I was just in Jacksonville, NC on Friday. I have family down there and stopped by to visit. My dad was a retired Marine Colonel with 33 years service and he was stationed down at Lejeune when I was young. He was one of the Chosin Few.

That's awesome! I went to many reunions and events with my dad and it was amazing to see them reconnect with and cry with men they hadn't see in many many years! Enjoy!

Have you been to the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Quantico (actually, in Triangle)? It has an incredible display of the Chosin Reservoir fighting.

:lmao::rotfl2: What the Cpt is leaving out was that by the end of the cruise, many more people than DIS-er's were saying that too. The Cpt would enter the dining room and bellow it out - and from all ends of the room, you would hear the response. Regular Cruisers would look at us like what the heck? But you know they were thinking what am I missing. Especially on pirate: night. BTW, get your pictures early as you will not be able to get near him for a while. Its not nice when the grown-ups beat out the little kids just to get near him. :rotfl2:

Oooh, I like it!! Sounds like fun and glad I'll be "in the know" from the beginning! Thanks!!

It's a date!:thumbsup2

Noel! There is ALWAYS time to shop! :cool1::rotfl2:

That sounds lovely Sue. I can attest to how close friendships can be made on these boards.......................

Mark and I met through the DIS 8 years ago, became friends and married a year later :cloud9: Lasting friendships and soulmates too are found on these very boards!:hug:

Isn't it fantastic Sarah?!:cool1: BBQ later after the football!

....but not recommended at 2 am after drinking!!! (I can say this after last night :rolleyes1)

Actually thats when its at its yummiest:thumbsup2

....My leg hurt all last week, so after I drove in pain to see my 94 y/o Dad on Father's Day I figured I needed to have it checked out....So he sent me for a Doppler to make sure it wasn't a blood clot. (it wasn't) He ordered pain meds which made me sick as a dog, so I'm in bed :sad2:...

I'm so thankful that you don't have a blood clot at least. Sorry it's so painful though.

How about this for coincidences? My SIL...describes her dress to me on FB and sends me a picture. For about the 5th time we have been at the same type event, she has picked the same thing. She picked the exact dress and the same color I was going to wear to the wedding....

 Now that would have been embarrassing to show up with the same dress as the mother of the groom! That's a bizarre number of coincidences, Noel. It's like your kindred spirits! So are you off to shop for a new dress or are you going to pull another one out of the closet?

What an awesome gift and soooo creative. SIGH - your one of those so creative and ingenius crafty people aren't you Kimberly? That particular gene skipped me. :p

I think its the title, the height and more importanly, the accent. US girls are suckers for accents. (OK some of us are) ;)...

....Kimberly, very easy to get postcards from ANY souvenir shop and the stamps are sold at a tobacco shop. There's mailboxes along the way and a drop box I believe at the terminal and other locations in town....

I don't know about being an ingenious crafty person, but I try to do something from time-to-time!

I'm indeed an American sucker for accents! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tips on postcards!

...And I'm SUPER excited about our DIS Meet also!! Only 3 more days... :cool1:....

:thumbsup2 :goodvibes

We ordered PIZZA!!!:rotfl:

:lmao: It's official then! You're addicted!

...I have found some truely wonderful people are on this board - and I hope that I am able to spend time with all! I am not sure that the WBPC thread felt like, but this one is as comfortable as my moms group!

How cool! I know of people that have done internet dating - but ou are the first I have heard of that tried DISdating! :thumbsup2 Congratulations!!....

I hope to spend time with all, too!!! That's the beauty of all our sea days. There's actually lots of opportunities to do just that!

Oh I know of another DIS couple who's cruising with us!!! :bride::groom: I'll let them share their story though!!

Well, I feel good!!! Filled out our online Advance Passenger Information for BA and Virgin, our DCL cruise documents and have done the Esta forms.

I do find it stressful for some reason.:confused3 Have to print all the DCL stuff yet though.

Been weighing on my mind, but I can relax a bit now.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 good good

We love playing our Disney Uno - it is the one with the Tinkerbell holder and has special Tink Rules.

And on the games - we plan on playing at different times - will decide and post - on the EBTA we met from 1 - 2 every day but it only allowed for short games as there was normally something for the adult education each day at 2.

Krisann

AW! I'm jealous...our Disney Uno doesn't have Tink. I'd love that. Ours comes in a tin and is really compact and it has the "Maleficent" card which is basically a "super wild" card.

When it's not a group game time, you may find Jason and I just hanging out at different locations around the ship playing games at any moment when I'm bored or unoccupied....Deck 9, Deck 10...the tables and chairs in the hall near the Theater, etc.

Nordkin----congratulations on your wedding. I do remember reading about that on the LGBT boards a while back. That is fabulous. Jason and are "patiently" (or not so patiently, actually) waiting for NY State to follow the lead of MA, IA, NH, VT, CT & DC (and half a dozen non-US countries) so we can do it here, too!

We haven't been yet but it's on the list of places to go. I'm waiting for my 3yr old to be a little bit older so they will get more out of it. I believe my Dad was president of the local Chosin Few chapter at the time of his death in 2003 and they raised money for the museum, but I don't think he lived to see the new museum completed.

Here's hoping other places catch up soon for you both (and everyone else)

We did the adult pool games on our last Disney Cruise and had alot of fun! They had "chip it golf" where you had to hit a ping pong ball in the water and get it into a hoola hoop I think. They also had relay races and at one point we had David (the asst cruise director?) in the pool...uniform and everything!

OK do I need to do Virgin for the return home??

And this is in the game line (and may sound pretty crazy to some of you), but are there any MahJongg players out there? I love to play and I'd bring some cards (tiles are too heavy) if there's anyone to play with (fingers are crossed).[/QUOTE]

I don't know how to play but would like to learn if you are to willing to teach & don't get any takers:)

It seems so, but only the name and passport stuff. I guess the UK has the same regulation for folk coming into the countries!

Cool. Will do that now then while I remember - and I've finally done the BA stuff as well as booking an extra case!

I don't know how to play either but I love learning new games!! :teacher: I'm also willing to teach my family's favorite beach card game "Hand & Foot." Which we renamed "Crack" because it became so addictive over the course of our vacation! :lmao::rotfl2:
