:scared1: OMG! We have had on in La Mirada for years and just 2 weeks ago walking into one for the first time. I was soooooo in trouble. I was actually on my way to Bed, Bath and Beyond to buy a salad bowl chiller with my 20% off coupon and they had it there for $1.00 less than what I would have bought it for WITH my coupon. And they had the yummiest Nine West Gladiator sandals for 50% off. I paid $20 bucks for those comfy sandals and wore them all night and the following day w/o any problems. Right out of the box.

I have had to literally turn my head when I drive past them. Monica, its on Imperial Hwy and Santa Gertrudes if you ever want to visit it straight off the 5 fwy. Yikes, I go skimming and this is what I come across? Yeah, so in trouble. ;)

I sure wish they had them up here as another poster told me they have similar outfits to what I am looking for...just my luck as I was in southern California a few weeks ago and if I only knew then what I know now....

Welcome, Steffi!! , ...you were on the Double Dip Delight cruise with us in September 2008 with your parents, right? I never got to meet you though! Glad we'll have that chance this time!! ....

So do you have big birthday plans in place for Simon?

Yes, right. It was a wonderful trip. My parents are STILL overwhelmed!

LITTLE party for the little one. We'll have a little baby party on his birthday (07/07) and we'll celebrate with his grandparents at the following weekend. :love:

Yes, looking forward to meeting you too!

I reckon if I lose a load of weight, all my new clothes will weigh much lighter!!!!! :lmao: I can take more;) and still have lighter suitcases!!!

Now THATS a good incentive!:rotfl2::worship:

I have had trouble losing weight since hitting 40. Even exercising doesn't seem to help and I just yo-yo up and down a few lbs. want to get down to 140lbs before this cruise, but have a stubborn 7lbs hanging on in there.:sad2:

OMG I wish it was only 7lb I had to lose!:rotfl2: It's all relative though, right?:rolleyes1 I do agree its got harder as I get older though.....

What I would give to have to loose just 7 pounds!! Of course if I were that close, I would be a typical California woman and opt for liposuction!!

:rotfl2: see above!:thumbsup2

:lmao: Regretfully I am past where liposuction would work, I need the nip tuck!!!;) So, I will just opt to cover it all up!!!:rotfl2: Oh and I'm thinking Spanx!!!;)

:lmao::lmao:

:rotfl2: Me too. I know i will take far too many clothes.

I actually bought a dress in the sales today. Should do for formal night, though it isn't long. I will need some fine shrug or something to hide the upper arm crepey skin!! Once I am there I probably won't care, but I will need something. Most of what I can find are fairly heavy weight or a little too sparkly for this dress, but most of all some are far more money than the dress cost!!!:lmao: I'm really very pleased as I don't 'do' dresses really.

Good for you! Where did you get it from in the end? I know what you mean about the shrugs etc. I was sorting through possible clothes the other day and decided I needed one too.....Mark reckons I should take my 'winter woolly' cardigan!:rolleyes1:lmao:

My DH said to me this weekend (when I was reading the thread on the big screen) "Repeat after me, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BUY A DOONEY AND BURKE PURSE"

Uh, huh.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

sounds just like my Mark too ......:sad2:;)

You guys are chatty, chatty!! :lmao: I will have to catch up later, but I wanted to post of my excitement today and I thought of all of you. I took my dad to a little cafe in downtown Lakeland to get some frozen hot chocolate and a woman sits down next me with the big Dooney and Bourke DCL Cruise bag!! I screamed! She was laughing. She is leaving on the Wonder in July, but bought this one on the Med. She said they cannot keep them in stock long enough. There was a huge line to get them. It is beautiful and I was so excited to see one in person. I wanted to rush home and get on the boards!

My DH said to me this weekend (when I was reading the thread on the big screen) "Repeat after me, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BUY A DOONEY AND BURKE PURSE"

Uh, huh.....:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

DH isn't aware of DCL Dooney HOWEVER, both girls have said "You Need Another Purse like You Need A Hole In The Head." No your not getting one.

:scratchin Good thing they are not on the cruise huh? :rotfl2:

I may not stand in line but if they have one, I'm getting one. I had to cancel my Med cruise in July so I'm rewarding myself with this if they have them. Else, I'm getting the blue one from DL

Are there any viewers of "Deadliest Catch" from Discovery Channel on-board with me? Tonight's episode is going to be very difficult to watch. I just might have to recorded it and watch later. :sad:

Last week's episode was difficult to swallow too. When Jake told his dad he was an addict and then Phil told him he wanted him out of his life and to never see him again after they got back to port, you just couldn't help but think about those words from his pop. Imagine how Jake must have felt when he saw that fight air on television, months after his death. I hope the young man is on a road to recovery in honor of his dad's love for him. :sad1:

I love the show. The next few shows should be very interesting and sad.

Welcome! We had an exchange student from Germany when I was in high school and her name was Steffi - lost all her info and have never found it in my mother's stuff - but still hoping to find it one day so I can find her again.

We will be flying into Munich the week before the cruise and then going to Salzburg to visit. Now to remember to pack my german book!
Krisann

Thank you for the warm welcome!! :yay:
We live "near" Munich. Do you need any tips!?!?

Weather was pretty fantastic actually! We had rain on Friday night so went to the Indian instead of BBQ but lovely Sat & Sun & Mon so had a BBQ on Sat night while watching Dr Who.

Glad you had a good time Sarah :)

I've spent the day with my sister :hug: who lives about 50 miles from me. It's been hot and sunny all day and we spent the day at the gym, then lunch, then a swim and spa followed by a spot of sun worshipping...:woohoo:

I feel very lucky and blessed today, just wanted to share :cloud9:

Its the only one I've ever seen and actually quite tiny which is why I always overlooked it. I thought it was some type of German grocery store. Then I walked into it and immediately thought - "Kohl's" but I've had to avoid that store for the last 2 weeks. Good thing I've been busy. :rotfl2:

Welcome, Steffi!! I felt like I knew your DISboard name, so I looked. Sure enough, you were on the Double Dip Delight cruise with us in September 2008 with your parents, right? I never got to meet you though! Glad we'll have that chance this time!! There are others from that cruise on this one, too!

So do you have big birthday plans in place for Simon?

Goodness! Kimberly, was this the one right after the EBPCon the Magic? If so, I was on that one, which is why your name was sooooo familiar. I knew I'd seen it before. :blush: is my face red if you weren't. LOL

I was just looking in Debenhams. No particular reason really, but it happens they have a sale! I don't like trying clothes on, but decided to and was pleasantly surprised. I needed a winter woolly in Parrot Cay on a few of the cruises to be sure - in fact in all the restaurants in February. I'm hoping it isn't as bad this time.

sounds just like my Mark too ......:sad2:;)

If it were up to my DH John to pack for the cruise, he would take a pair of shorts, two Hawaiian shirts, a pair of long trousers, a few pairs of underwear, a bathing suit, a tee shirt to wear with bathing suit and his sandals.

Lucky you, as DH IS on the cruise!!

Sounds like a lovely day. I don't have any siblings close by since my sister passed in 2004.

:;)

I'm with you! Today I was told I was too fat by my doctor to be on one of my pills so have to change to another that one of the side effects (1 in 10 people get) is putting on weight!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously no one is helping me! I have a feeling that when they weighed me in Jan they got my weight wrong as they seem generally surprised I hadn't noticed a sudden increase in weight but I haven't put on that much! My Mother lovingly pointed out my butt has got bigger mind which I thought was a lovely response!

Also, has anyone booked airfare through DCL. I was just wondering when we would find out which airline, flight times, etc. I have heard mixed reviews, but hopefully they will give us a good flight.

I used DCL Air to Barcelona on my last WBTA cruise and the flight wasn't bad. I had a 3hr layover in Atlanta but a straight shot from there.

Sounds good to me!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

DH is on but he's clueless (UNLESS ANOTHER MALE ON HERE POINTS IT OUT) and I can always "hide" it out or tell him - its my birthday present from you to me. Thank You Honey! puckerup:

Anyone think that will fly? If not birthday then anniversary since its only 3 days before my bday. Course, he may come up with its either that or my candy, :scratchin ......can't give that up. Maybe I'll "settle" for the blue one at DL or WDW since we will be there after. :rotfl2::lmao:

funny, I did wonder if it was Debenhams...several of my dresses come from there :)

:rotfl2: well it would mean more room for your things anyway Noel!:thumbsup2

That is sad Noel :hug: Good job you have your DIS 'sisters' to chat to on this trip x
