Thanks Paula for being so flexible,will see what suits, cheers again, Ive pmd sezmo and terapin and gpb_1 about room unbers.

You forgot me from the CAT 11s .... mind you, I may get upgraded to a 7 or 8yet which would be more useful. If you don't need another CAT 11 no worries .... I am easy either way.

Love to hear about your DD is in color guard. I did many many years of marching band and then drum corps (in fact still doing it - guess I just don't want to grow up). I am a percussionist, play almost all the woodwinds and did a little guard too. Yes, I am a band geek and proud of it. :laughing:

Another Band Geek here. Coming from Canada marching bands are very rare in High School. I loved marching :) But I was also a sports and drama person too. I was very well rounded. But not to round just right :)

Don't forget Sunday ...... not only is it father's day but it is also booking day for the Silvers ..... wooooooo hooooooo !!!!!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

does that mean 5 a.m Sunday, or 5.am Monday for us UK people??:rolleyes1

My Dad will be down this way this week so my sis and I shall take him & Mum out to lunch....we rarely see him on Father's Day :(

.....
Right now, my sister has a hurt back from teaching - her one students throws himself on the floor and she has to pick him back up.....there's no way my sister's staying away from her kids during the last couple of days of school...so she's going in tomorrow. Hopefully she'll make it through the who day...

Awe....I hope she recovers quickly. The things teachers do for their kids. :)

....Another band geek here! In addition to high school band (played bass drum, bassoon, flute, piccolo)....When I first started working in Atlanta, the Partner I worked for was a sponsor for a DCI corps and I went to many of their shows, rehearsals, etc. Always amazing!!

I also played flute and piccolo! Although, for marching band, we didn't use piccolo. So I pulled that out during concert season. Good times!

Our high school goes to WDW every four years and performs in one of the parades. It cycled on my freshman year, and that was my first visit to WDW!

Has anyone else been watching the fuel prices? ....I'm going to run the numbers and see if I would save anything by canceling and rebooking.

I've been watching the price for the past week and a half. There was one point during that time that I thought there was a chance, but its just gone up and up since. :sad2:

....When are you guys touring? We land on the 16th at 9am. I am not sure what time we can drop luggage at the Praktik, so we may be looing to tour...

Of those in the "committed" group, I'm the last of our group to land, which is 8:35 am.

Speaking of, I did get a response back from Sharon about having more than 6 in the group.

Dear Kimberly,

Thank you for your email.

We can accommodate 12 people in a mini bus that fits up to 12 people.

Please note that the mini bus tour includes a separate driver + English speaking guide.

The price for 12 people sharing the tour is 37 Euros per person.
The price for 11 people sharing the tour is 39 Euros per person.
The price for 5 people sharing the tour is 59 Euros per person.

In the meantime I did not make any reservations, so please update me as soon as you figure out how many people will be in the group and I will make the reservation for you.

Looking forward to hearing from you shortly.

Kind regards,

Sharon Amor

I am thinking about joining in with this too ... though like Sarah I am a bit worried that my scrapbooking skills suck. I don't have a die cut so I will just have to shop around....

First of all, it's not going to suck! Anything you make will be very much treasured! It doesn't have a die cut either. You could make a page border, a page title, a journaling block.....there are lots of options!

.....So sorry to hear about your mom but like others have said, she was with him and she was probably the last image he saw.... I hope she's able to smile soon. In the meantime, please don't be so hard on yourself, remember - the Serenity Prayer:

God, grant me the serenity
To accept the things I cannot change;
Courage to change the things I can;
And wisdom to know the difference.

:hug:

:littleangel:

That's a good reminder :) Thank you!

Well I have news. I don't know if it's the right thing or not, but it seems to be the right thing for them. I'm still at grandmother's (I can't stay at my mom's because I have respiratory allergies to cats, and they have one), and mom called last night saying they found a Bichon Frise breeder in Akron (a little more than an hour away) who has a 12 week old girl. paw: They're going to pick it up today, and she's so excited. :goodvibes She has to work a 12 hour shift, so her husband is going to pick her up, then when mom gets home tonight, she'll have a new furkid waiting to meet her.

I have to go back home this morning for an appointment I have this afternoon, but I've decided I'll come back for a couple of days so I can meet the new family member. :)

I'll absolutely be passing along all of your kind words to her, too. She knows that there are great people on these boards because she met many on a cruise we went on 2 years ago, and of course I speak of all of you frequently, too. Thank you everyone!

I've been regulated to "maximizing my resources" lately and DH hates it because all of a sudden, I'm finding "maximizing sales" up the wazoo! :lmao: Now, if I could somehow find a way to maximize that DCL Dooney and Bourke! ;):rotfl2::lmao:....

:rotfl2: Well if you have a spa service in mind for the cruise, you can always maximize your resources by partaking in a Port Day Special so that DCL D&B will be in your arms for less! ;)

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

My Dad will be down this way this week so my sis and I shall take him & Mum out to lunch....we rarely see him on Father's Day :(

I don't know really ... hope it's not Monday at 5am as I will be on a night shift with no internet access.:sad2:

We have moved to a cat 3 - room 8524, and we are still willing to to be a part of the tour...

When are you guys touring? We land on the 16th at 9am. I am not sure what time we can drop luggage at the Praktik, so we may be looing to tour...

Sue - Check the tour list. I think your room is listed incorrectly (see below.)

If Kimberly and the others decide they want to keep the tour to adults only, then we should look at a combined tour, since we both have 2 kids with us! There is a significant savings for having more people involved! (Though I never asked who your allegiences lie with, living in GA. We're committed Dawg fans!)

Sea Day 24th 3pm

Cat 3 (su_kraft) 8525 I think this should be 8524 per Sue's post

I also played flute and piccolo! Although, for marching band, we didn't use piccolo. So I pulled that out during concert season. Good times!

Our high school goes to WDW every four years and performs in one of the parades. It cycled on my freshman year, and that was my first visit to WDW!

I played Bassoon in symphonic band and orchestra, bass drum in marching band (because you can't march w/a bassoon!) and piccolo in pep band.

My H/S band never went to WDW, but the Fife & Drum corps that I marched with for years went there every year or so. I was great at touring MK in 4 hours, but still need to build a good touring plan for my family now!

I am thinking about joining in with this too ... though like Sarah I am a bit worried that my scrapbooking skills suck. I don't have a die cut so I will just have to shop around.

PLEASE join - it will be fun and sometimes somebody says they are horrible at something and you see their work and you become embarassed with your work! You can add anything to the scrapbook FE that is YOUR idea. We would love it! I told someone - just think of the different events on the ship or the excursions - Pirate Night, Princess Night, Villans, Castaway, games, drinks, etc. Whatever you want - I am doing an entire scrapbook for this trip so anything you want to add - would be wonderful and fun!!

Dennis is also a band/drum corps geek. He played french horn in band and french horn bugle in Velvet Knight Drum Corp WAY back in 1965. :rolleyes1 Makes him a geezer geek. :)

:thumbsup2 I checked and got it from the roll call.

All this talk of dogs and other pets, and seeing the Beagle Bling picture, has driven me to share a picture of my two greyhounds in their Halloween Costumes. This was taken a few years ago, and sadly we lost the male a few summers ago (poor guy, every Halloween was a formal occasion for him), but still cracks me up.

I actually made both the costumes, and the wizard outfit matched my own costume. Anyway, just wanted to share!

Hello all! I just checked in on another thread and Gizmo (and someone else) answered and invited me over here...
What else should I have in an intro? lol OH OH, I know, this is our second Disney (or any other kind of) Cruise.

Welcome. This is a great bunch of folks.

I am Dee, My Dh is Steven (who is a band geek as well. He even played in the Air Force Band) we are traveling with My sister and DBIl and their oldest daughter and her husband.

This is soooo adorable! I just love them.

Sue - your husband also made me laugh! How funny the post was.
We have 9 signed up for scrapbooking right now so thanks for all the PM's and signing up. I will put a list together as it gets closer, but I figured I would have 10 little bags made up just to be on the safe side.

My dad arrives today so I don't know how often I can get on the boards and post. I definitely won't forget about you and I don't expect you to stop posting because I cannot read :laughing::laughing: I just hate missing anything.:rotfl2: Have tons of fun without me!!!:yay::yay::yay:

My dh is also a 'computer geek' so he'll be in good company! :thumbsup2

Before catching up I was going to comment that my loving DH was also a computer/IT geek... Now however, GEEK may be the name I use...

WHEW! 1 1/2 hrs later - I'm caught up for the moment so off to bed I go....play nice. ;) Catch you on the down side. :wave2:

We always play nice... That is why there are pages and pages and pages and pages... :rotfl2:

We are Big 10 fans as that is where we hail from, but living in GA I will take a Dawg fan over a Tech fan any day...

and why prey tell aren't you working, dear? :lovestruc

Thanks Lynne!! I appreciate your taking it into your own hands... Its all I can do to keep FE lists straight... I can't remember the cabin number to use while talking with the kids versus the real one... :confused3:scared1:
