Okay, I just ordered 2 gift cards from Restaurants.com! I am so excited. I didn't know that even existed.

AMEN SISTER!!

I was reading your post and when I got to the "you are a fountain of knowledge..." remark I hit the quotes button so that I could respond something to the effect of: "When it comes to Broadway shows? OF COURSE---I did mention I'm gay, right?!"....but then as I read further in your post you beat me to the punch!:rotfl2: (Which reminds me, how come there's no smiley waving a rainbow flag? That's a smiley I could use a lot! The closest there is is this: :rainbow: which is cute, but not the same. Although I have been known to sometimes pepper my posts with a little fairy :tinker: On the thread for our Double Dip cruise back in 2008 one of the questions of the week on the boards was something to the effect of "What disney character is most like you?"....and in a particularly campy moment I posted "Tinkerbell----cuz she's a sassy little fairy just like me!" We all suspected the tag fairy might put it under my name...but alas it never happened! :rotfl2:)

I just called the hotel again with better success. She stated that they must have written authorization for payment, so you have to either fax the authorization [(34) 93.304.33.32] with the the following information or send an email to reservas@hotelpraktikrambla.com.

  • Name on Reservation
  • Reservation Confirmation Number
  • State you authorize payment for <insert your fee in Euros>
  • Name on Card
  • Credit/Debit Card Number
  • Card Expiration Date

As Krisann suggested, another alternative to secure the good Euro exchange rate right now is to order additional Euros from your currency source to cover this expense. Although, I would call or email to confirm cash is acceptable because I see the following noted on their website as well as on my confirmation email. I'm sure it's really just referencing what credit cards they accept, however, the way it's worded does leave room for uncertainty.

Payment
You will need to pay for your entire stay on arrival, we only accept credit cards (AMEX, Visa, Euro/Mastercard, Diners Club and Maestro)

....some more work for you I'm afraid ......

As I am supposed to be keeping the list for the late seating diners who want to link up for dinner ......

Can you PM me which of the 3 rotations you would most prefer and can you let me know if the rotation is important enough that you would forgo the linking, or do you still want to be linked and go with the majority.

Is it me or is this becoming very confusing. :confused3:confused3:confused3

These are the people I have already got on my list

Late Seating Linked Dining

TotallyAngelic ( Sarah and Tony)
Birkner ( Noel and John )
Su Kraft ( Sue, Glenn and family) Rotation 1
LittleDisneyLovers ( Hayley, Terry and family ) Rotation 1
UKAngel ( Mandy and Mark )
Bareacuda (Howard and Ann)
Ebony ( Jan and Carl )
Sue and husband ( Sue l )
Goiu family (Geoff, Lisa, Emma, and Logan)
acourtwdw2 ( Annette and Amanda)

Just to let you know that I sent Heather some flowers from the WBTA Cruisers yesterday because I just felt I had to do something. I know in the light of things it is a small gesture but I just wanted her to know we are all thinking of her.:hug::hug::hug:

Anyway .... she received them today and sent me this message:

"Sarah - thank you so, so much for the lovely flowers. The post office tried to deliver them yesterday, but I wasn't in. I collected them this morning and was deeply moved when I saw who they were from. Thank you so much again and please send on my deepest thanks to all the WBTA cruisers for me. I know that you will have have a fantastic time. Heather "

You are so kind and thoughtful, Sarah. That's so touching and appreciated. :grouphug:

Thank you for passing along Heather's gracious words.

Today day is were we stand on vacation so close yet so far.

Do you think it would be better for me to pick up Mickey mouse club t-shirts at WDW. Being in Canada it would save shipping costs what do you think.

back to page 42 still reading wow I just can not keep up :)

I would suspect they are not easily available. Why not pay for them and have them shipped to a fellow DISer in the USA? I order things all the time using my billing address and have them shipped elsewhere.

Just my thoughts.....
:surfweb:

Also, last night we were having dinner around 7:30 and we look into the backyard and what is blowing around but a balloon from DisneyWorld - that must be long travels or someone in Lakeland just got home from the Park. It was nice to have a little Disney at our dinner. My DD was fascinated and tried to figure out if it really DID come from the parks. We are about 33 miles away.

What a great story!

I am keeping with the original dinner plan thing that my TA told me so I will not request. She still insists Formal is Day 2 and I am going with it. I might be the only one in a dress on Sunday, but I am winging it.

:lmao: I still hope your TA is correct as this would make more sense...but hey, whatever!:thumbsup2

Jason and I wouldn't mind being linked up so that we are in the same restaurant as other DIS folks---although in terms of actual dinner table linking I think we're considering linking up with renegade7 and cinderbear because they're both on the B2B in late seating....so we can sit together for the whole trip...but I'm sure we'd all enjoy being in the same dining room as our other DIS friends, too.

Jason and I don't care what rotation we get honestly...and by the time the WBTA comes around we'll have already eaten in all the dining rooms at least twice plus Palo once----so by then it will be more about the company than about the location! :thumbsup2

Sarah,

This was so incredibly thoughtful of you. I can't imagine what Heather is going through... Thanks for sharing her reply as well.

Thank you Sarah for doing this on behalf of us all. I would love to share in the cost if possible.

What a thoughtful gesture, Sarah. I am so moved that Heather took the time to thank you in such a touching way.

I used to have a client, Sheetz, that holds a manager/vendor conference in Hershey annually. It was fun to go to. I always brought back the big bar for the office, and a bunch of stuff for the kids and me... The spa stuff rocks!

I haven't been in 2 years, and miss it. but I really miss the Sheetz stores more... For those in the PA area - you may understand... Shmiscuits for beakfast, stuffed pretzlez and meatball subz... Yum... Doesn't hold a candle to the Magic, but very yummy indeed! (For those not in the PA area, check them out on the web... sheetz.com... They are a gas station and a restaurant all in one...

Sheetz is great! There's one in the Allentown area but not in Quakertown where we live...my husband LONGS for Sheetz sometimes! But we just got our first Sonic there, so at least there is something new! We have three Wawa's within two miles of each other - it's a good thing I like their food! LOL!

Thank you so much for doing that. That was very kind of you. My heart goes out to Heather and her family.

HoagiePie - The Factory Tour Ride at Hershey is still there - there are no actual tours of the plant. I was at Hershey last summer with my two friends and their daughter...she slept through Hershey World (the ride)! If we go this year, she'll probably really enjoy it...she's a little over 2 now. We are going to Sesame Place with them in a few weeks and I can't wait to see the baby! I haven't seen her since we got married - she was my flowergirl!

It is raining here today. I'm sitting in Barnes and Noble drinking tea, looking for jobs, listening to Disney music and writing. Too bad I forgot to bring an umbrella in with me! LOL!

I didn't read all the posts yet, but THANK YOU for doing this. What a sweet gesture and so much appreciated.

Sounds like my kind of day...except it would be coffee :thumbsup2

OK, Myopic, So your lenses are thinner in the middle and thicker towards the edge, So the smaller your glasses the thinner your lens will appear. I used to be an Optical Dispenser, I think you guys call me an Optician. Haven't worked in 10 year though! Can't believe I remember that!

We're all pretty close, we fly out on the 16th and arrive on the 17th.
I just can't wait anymore!:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Actually I told a lie as that was my old perscription! They gave me a new sheet with my glasses today that said -6.25 and -6.25

Another pre-cruise checklist To-Do is complete! The newspaper delivery has been put on hold. The little things in life that make you happy..... :)

Sounds like my kind of day at Barnes & Noble, tea, listening to Disney music, rain - perfect! Looking for jobs must be a little stressful though. Hope you find something. Sesame Place is a great place too but the last time I was there - I was watching Sesame Street and it just opened. Going back how many years???????????:scared1:
