For those of you planning to participate in the matching Mickey Mouse Club t-shirts, I have more news to share.

I got distracted on Friday when I was going to make my purchase, so I just got around to making it. Here were my discoveries:

I ended up buying through Zazzle.com for the following reasons:

1) I found the KIDatHEART free shipping code at DisneyStore.com didn't work for that t-shirt alone. I tried several times, but it wouldn't work for me. :confused3
2) I didn't check this before my previous post on Friday, but today I discovered that Zazzle is a merchant participant with MrRebates.com. You get 13% of your purchase at Zazzle back! Just remember that you have to go to MrRebates and access the merchant from their site in order to get the rebate.
3) During my discovery of Zazzle at MrRebates, they noted a code for 10% off t-shirts (discount code TSHIRTS10OFF) that I applied with no problem.

Oh...one more thing. When I saw the 10% code, I also noticed that they had a 15% off coupon code for business cards (BIZCARDSAVE1). So I bought those, too, to pass out on the cruise. I put my own pictures (3) on it (front and back) as well as details like email addy and Facebook URL. With the coupon code and the rebate, I didn't think $12.57 + S&H was bad for 100 double-sided, colored business cards!

That's spectacular news on all fronts!!! WOOT! I completely agree with Todd! You guys are a blessing!s

I just ordered our shirts from Zazzle and took advantage of the 10% off and MrRebates!!! :woohoo:

Are we supposed to bring our Mickey Ears too? :earboy2:

....Observation here - the flags that they are holding I think (could be wrong) are the maritine flags that spell things....

 Oh if you could only see the embarrassment on my face right now! You are SO right! It's "DCL"!!

I didn't even think about that, and since I swore I read someone else having the same assumption, I just "ASSuMEd"!

Since we're on the topic, I do have a magnet for my door that spells out something using maritime flags. ;) So when you come to see me at 2004 to sign my scrapbook page, you'll have a little take-away for researching later!

Observation here - the flags that they are holding I think (could be wrong) are the maritine flags that spell things - Capt. Hatchett talked about those in his presentation on the EBTA - so I do not think there is a different one for the med vs just DCL - if you look at the big purse in the first picture you will see a flag on that one also - I think it has to do with which piece of the picture is on your item. I purchased the one that has the Mickey heads on them - it is black with all different colored mickey heads - I bought it at the begining of the cruise and then they brought out the DCL ones later in the cruise.

Krisann

You are correct about the flags, which is why I want it. It spells DCL

Well, that 10% off code was just too good to pass up. I just ordered my Mickey Mouse Club shirt from Zazzle.

Oh good!! I'm so excited that more of us are going to be part of the Club!

Pam, I think that's a good idea!

Starting to get more serious about our planning for excursions on the WBTA! We can't book until 6/20 but that is just around the corner. I know there are a number of people who have already been booking excursions. I was wondering if anyone who can already access the excusions would be willing to post the excursion times. We are trying to determine if we can do 2 excursions at the same port. Here are the excursions we would like to know times for:

Gibraltar--City Under Siege
Rock Tour
Madiera--Catamaran Whale & Dolphin
4x4 Landrover
View and Parks
St. Maarten--Under 2 Flags
Seaworld Explore Coral Reef
Rib Boat, Island Drive & Explorer
Tiki Hut Snorkel
12 Metre Regatta
Tortola--Tortola by Land & Sea
Catamaran Sail & Snorkle
Virgin Island Sail & Snorkle & Beach Adventure
Tour of Virgin Gorda

THANK YOU for any times you can provide. :yay:

I have been wanting to try it. I saw a video to purchase, but wanted to try the class first to see if I would like it. Tell me more when you can.

The place I went to is a drop in any class type place and it was $10 a class or you could buy a bunch up front to save money.

The class was about 75 minutes but can be anywhere from 45 to 90 minutes. I just showed up, hid myself in the back corner and it was pretty much sink or swim. They didn't ask if anyone was new or explain any steps but it was still a lot of fun. The steps themselves are various salsa and latin type movements set to high energy latin music. If you Google Zumba or go to YouTube you can watch some classes and see if you'd like it.

Of course, I was a little lost in my first class but some of the other ladies there assured me I would pick it all up soon. Everyone was super friendly and there was a good mix of people so I didn't feel uncomfortable.

I did sweat a ton!!! I recommend good solid tennis shoes and lots of water. I only bought one bottle and that wasn't nearly enough! I'm sore today but I hadn't worked out in a few months so not sure if it's that way all the time.

I look forward to going back and I think this is something I could stay interested in for quite sometime! However, I don't know if a video would be quite as fun but if you do get one I'd like to know how you liked it?

Let me know if you have any other questions!!

Fairy liquid, washing up liquid.
I came of a drug I had been on for years and changed my eating/exercise habits, I have to say considering I lost over 8 stone I struggle every day with maintaining wt,dont know how I managed it really.

Oh, That is funny!

Princess dresses are always appropriate attire on a Disney cruise! You see them everywhere. For my DD, on a 7 nt cruise, I generally bring 2 dresses (for formal and semi-formal night), maybe 1 other casual dress, and fill the rest with her princess dresses (or pirate dress for pirate night). She has several of the Little Adventure princess dresses which don't have the tulle, so I can pack each up in a ziploc back really easily (which makes it easy to bring 5 princess dresses along.) (Her Princess Bunny has many of the matching dresses but all of her dresses fit into a single ziploc bag.

Sounds like your daughters all set! I won't bring any of their Disney princess dresses as they find them itchy and don't like wearing them. I'll bring Minnie and Alice though. I'm not sure what the Little Adventure dresses are but I'm assuming they are ones that aren't itchy. They sound great!

Also, Im laughing I read the wt limit and ran for a calculator, we should be fine if I starve Len from now till then:rotfl:
I know Len will read this while im away at work so.... dont worry dear Im only joking, if we both pull our bellys in we will be fine:laughing:
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Sounds like you have tons of stuff planned, but there is a place in Orlando that not too many people talk about and it is so much fun - and this is a DCL disboard so I am not being sarcastic, but they have a Titanic exhibit that is phenomenal. It is on I-Drive and I am sure you can google it. They give you a name of a passenger and throughout the whole museum, you are that person. They take you on Deck of when the boat sank, and it is just as cold, you get to feel the iceberg. At the end, they have the artifacts from the Titanic and you look on a huge board and find out if you were a passenger or crew and if you lived or died. We took Abby several years ago and it was a blast. Abby was so confident she lived because she was a woman, but it turned out she died because she was a maid. We laughed - I mean the situation isn't funny, but it was a good family time and you get to experience the entire thing. You get to walk up the gangplank, just like on the cruise and everything. Okay, that is my 2 cents - I will go back to reading the boards.

That sounds really interesting, Will add it to the "do if we have time" list. :thumbsup2

The best news....the event (which was smaller than in years past becuase of some big organizational changes at my agency---which sponsored/benefitted from the event) brought in just over $52,000-----and I brought in almost $2900 of that myself---making me the top fundraising walker of the day and my team (which inlcluded 5 of my coworkers) the top fundraising team for the day.

Yay, 3 cheers for Eric and Jason! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

We do too. I feel like we get to see "educational" stuff early and then play time later. (shopping) LOL - no surprise here but DH hates it. But as we all know, - he's just along for the ride. :rotfl2:
:lmao::lmao::lmao: My husband LOVES shopping..........NOT! He gets to tell me I look pretty and 'no baby, your bum doesn't look big', he gets to carry my bags and he gets to pay............What's not to love????:confused3

Love them, very funky! :thumbsup2

Thank you for the suggestion. We are trying to find a way to "Hold the bottles" Its getting harder and harder to find those crates.
Can you fill the bottles with sand to keep them upright?

I got 2 pairs last year, then went and left my favourite of the 2 in the pocket of the Virgin seat!!!

Doh! :headache:

Hey Everyone,

I can't keep up with you chatty cathy's----it's like 12 pages in less than 36 hours....ridiculous! :lmao:

Anyhow, just checking in and saying thanks to all who donated/supported or asked about the AIDS Walk. We ended up with really great (a little muggy) weather for the walk and Jason and I walked at a nice brisk pace and finished walk of just over 3 miles in about 45 minutes...so a nice workout without killing ourselves.

Way to go, guys!! That is awesome work!!! :thumbsup2

I need to rant for a few minutes.

My DSis just called, upset. She is a 911 Dispatcher and just got off a call where a family lost a 2 year old little boy for 20 minutes at a park. They said a couple witnesses said they last time they saw him was at the edge of the water:scared1: My sister immediately dispatched water rescue. Unfortunately, the little boy was found and he had drowned. :sad2: :sad1: My rant comes from the fact that two witnesses said they saw him at the waters edge. WHY didnt they see if there was an adult with him? WHY didnt they stop him and redirect him back to his mommy? What a horrible thing to happen and to think if people just looked out for each other this might have been prevented.

I could go on about the parent, but that would be a whole other rant. I understand that all things happen for a reason, but today I just dont want to hear that. My thought and prayers go out to his family as they deal with this tragic loss. To all the rescue workers who found him and who will forever have that image in their brains and to my poor Dsis who feels helpless becasue she was not able to save this one.:sad2: No doube she will be hugging my grandchildren tomorrow, tight, as I will too.

Thanks for letting me vent. Hug someone tonight and be thankful they are with you.

How sad and horrible. Hugs to your sister and all those who responded.

There is no answer why those people didn't help other than "not my business" syndrome.

We just spent the afternoon with the family in the backyard, at the bar-b-que and swimming. It would never occur to us to leave anyone alone or out of sight at any age near water.

Our hearts and prayers go out to not only the parents but your sister, the rescue workers and everyone who has to deal with this tragedy. I wish I had more words of comfort to offer. Stories like these make us all feel so helpless.

That's the definition of a Tragedy, It is so sad and could have been helped. To all the people who will have to live with this for the rest of their lives, my heart goes out.

Wow. There are no words to comfort, only prayers for everyone who has been affected by this terrible tragedy. Unbelievable.

Erik, Awesome job!

Dee, I just don't get the whole "I don't want to be involved thing" I will stay with any kid I see alone, or in potential danger and look for a parent or an official of where we are. I just tell the parent that I was concerned and wish them well.

The bags are super cute, don't know if I want one, but they are cute.

Love the cute specs, I was never brave enough to get coloured frames.

I agree with you - but I will play devil's advocate and say that when my husband went for training in Phoenix regarding Emergency issues, he was told, not in uniform, try to avoid ANYTHING. Even if it is helping a samaritan, car accident, etc.. I know that sounds awful, but they said to him with so many people suing, it is better to stay away from anything that could become a "situation" I know that sounds horrible and I agree with you that more people need to be paying attention, but it goes back to the fact that why is it the responsibility of someone walking through the park and NOT the parents. What were they doing? I feel bad for your sis. I always say that I think the 911 operators have the toughest jobs. Being helpless in a way but yet helping. I guess that is what we have come down to in America. I cannot tell you how many times I see videos on TV of people walking over other people on the street that just had a heart attack or were attacked. It has me dumbfounded.
