Here's a vision of the "generic" pattern and styles for DCL Dooney bags:

Oh Good, I'll keep defending them! :thumbsup2
Throw away gown? Have you seen those TV shows where they make wedding gowns out of toilet paper? :lmao:

:rotfl2: This is too funny - a TP Wedding Gown. it.

Sounds like you have tons of stuff planned, but there is a place in Orlando that not too many people talk about and it is so much fun - and this is a DCL disboard so I am not being sarcastic, but they have a Titanic exhibit that is phenomenal. It is on I-Drive and I am sure you can google it. They give you a name of a passenger and throughout the whole museum, you are that person. They take you on Deck of when the boat sank, and it is just as cold, you get to feel the iceberg. At the end, they have the artifacts from the Titanic and you look on a huge board and find out if you were a passenger or crew and if you lived or died. We took Abby several years ago and it was a blast. Abby was so confident she lived because she was a woman, but it turned out she died because she was a maid. We laughed - I mean the situation isn't funny, but it was a good family time and you get to experience the entire thing. You get to walk up the gangplank, just like on the cruise and everything. Okay, that is my 2 cents - I will go back to reading the boards.

Oh My! I love this. Sounds like the Holocaust museum but with a little less somberness. Sounds like I may have something Non-Disney to do too. We are staying until the following Monday and always struggle to do something on that last day when we check out.

I think I gave them $10 each. That time we had 3 guides, the other times we have only had 2.....I gave it to 1 guide and told him to divide it up amongst them. I might have been to cheap but he seemed happy!!

Damn! I always forget to tip the CC people.

Hey Everyone,

I can't keep up with you chatty cathy's----it's like 12 pages in less than 36 hours....ridiculous! :lmao:

Anyhow, just checking in and saying thanks to all who donated/supported or asked about the AIDS Walk. We ended up with really great (a little muggy) weather for the walk and Jason and I walked at a nice brisk pace and finished walk of just over 3 miles in about 45 minutes...so a nice workout without killing ourselves.

The best news....the event (which was smaller than in years past becuase of some big organizational changes at my agency---which sponsored/benefitted from the event) brought in just over $52,000-----and I brought in almost $2900 of that myself---making me the top fundraising walker of the day and my team (which inlcluded 5 of my coworkers) the top fundraising team for the day.

Awesome news guys.

Ring toss with bottles. There is also the pick a duck game. Where you try to pick the duck that has a prize written under it.

Will keep thinking:headache:

Thank you for the suggestion. We are trying to find a way to "Hold the bottles" Its getting harder and harder to find those crates.

CUTE! I need new glasses since I scratched :cool2: on my last trip. But they want over $100 for the lenses alone. Its been almost 2 yrs and now they want another exam. SIGH. Even more $$

Oh Lordy - hope I didn't hurt you when I zipped past! Yes, um, DH will thank you for the pics - NOT! But I will. I love it - I'm with you - love the international one more. Unfortunately, I don't do wristlets. :sad2: So hoping they still have a medium or large tote bag left. Hm.....who do I know that will be on the cruise early?

Thanks for posting the pictures.....now I have something to save for. :lmao::rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

LOVE IT!

OK - gotta sign off now - everyone's clamoring for food so gotta feed the brain. - so much to do and no time to DIS. :rolleyes1

All right, somehow remind me how to post a picture on here? I forgot. :guilty:

Thanks for the info about the port. We're arriving at 7:55 and hoping to the do the hop-on-hop-off bus tour. Does anyone know what time we are "probably" going to be able to start boarding? I know all aboard is 4:00... Thanks!

I'd say lunch time about 12 thats what it was last time anyway!

This is either new or one of those cases where you get a different answer depending who you speak to. I asked this very question before our first cruise in 2008 and was told that all slots are released when the first group can book. Indeed, I managed to log on at midnight on the dot at 75 days out and there was no Palo reservation to be had. We waitlisted as soon as we got on the ship, but were never called. I was less than impressed when on the last morning table mates turned up that had not been to a single dinner and they explained the reason they had not been there was that they had eaten at Palo every night.

Corinna

I was told this after the change in Castaway levels brought in back in 09 but not sure if this is true!

Have you done it before? How do you like it? I just started Zumba this morning and had a great time!!

I have been wanting to try it. I saw a video to purchase, but wanted to try the class first to see if I would like it. Tell me more when you can.

The barbershop group and quartet event this evening was fun!

I can remember going to watch this type of music when I was a teenager. They would have a "Harvest Moon" concert every fall. The harmony is amazing.

A few years ago I hated myself, I never bought anything for myself, no clothes, shoes or bags, now it is differant, I cant but enough of the stuff, Len is so sweet, he encourages me cause he knows that I feel so much better about me now that I am more than a hundred pounds lighter. So to get to the point I may just be tempted.

I applaud you for your determination and will power.:thumbsup2

I think I would cancel my pedicure for this bag. I love it, and I want it. Fingers crossed they will still have it on the ship when we get there. Last one to shop is a rotten egg.:cool1:

Were lucky over here pricing is better. They were £130 all in for 2 pairs including thinned lenses as my perscriptions so bad (7.5 and 6.5 I think) so not too bad. Plus I pay into health plan over here which is like £14 a month and I get £100 a year towards glasses and then money towards dental etc so it works out I don't pay too much. Unfortunately my eyes change every year so have to get new glasses whether I want to or not!

The weather here is HOT and HUMID! Over 100 degrees and the humidity is 46%

I wish we had a pool at this house. We built this new home with no pool. What were we thinking? :confused3 We had a wonderful inground at the old house. Oh, I remember what we were thinking. We were making life easier on DH. Guess I will sit in the a/c and chill

Well, that 10% off code was just too good to pass up. I just ordered my Mickey Mouse Club shirt from Zazzle.

Corinna

I got ones the same but black with green detailing on the side for sunglasses (buy one get one free). They have jewels along the side!

Specsavers had them in this colour - purple with pink jewels on the side not very visible - and black with green detailing.

Oh my goodness, I would have loved those! Wish they'd had the pink/purple ones when I had to get mine last year!:sad1:

:sad1: Oh dear, I paid nearly twice that just for my sunglasses at Specsave!

I got 2 pairs last year, then went and left my favourite of the 2 in the pocket of the Virgin seat!!!

Thanks for the 2 cameras tip(talking of tips, did you tip the crew? I hate stuff like that)

Also, Im laughing I read the wt limit and ran for a calculator, we should be fine if I starve Len from now till then:rotfl:
I know Len will read this while im away at work so.... dont worry dear Im only joking, if we both pull our bellys in we will be fine:laughing:

it was cool - and I took my camera and put it around my neck and turned the video on while I was up there - so cool!

The water is so clear that you can see for a long ways. If there was a shark I would have been screaming to them!! :rotfl: It is not scary......cold but not scary.

we could see sting rays in the water - very cool - they were not near the boat - but off to the side and you could see them when you went up.

Observation here - the flags that they are holding I think (could be wrong) are the maritine flags that spell things - Capt. Hatchett talked about those in his presentation on the EBTA - so I do not think there is a different one for the med vs just DCL - if you look at the big purse in the first picture you will see a flag on that one also - I think it has to do with which piece of the picture is on your item. I purchased the one that has the Mickey heads on them - it is black with all different colored mickey heads - I bought it at the begining of the cruise and then they brought out the DCL ones later in the cruise.
