Ok... and here's the German version...

Ahoernchen & Bhoernchen.

I am still trying to find a reasonable translation...

Squirrels are called: Eich-hoernchen...

So... they put the A & B infront of the "Hoernchen"

We shall be fluent in all kinds of Disney language by the end of this cruise! :thumbsup2:)

Today has been a rough day. Finally got to the dentist, and what I was expecting (root canal and crown) turned into 4 crowns and a fracture that went straight to the pulp of the tooth - so it was extracted, and I will need to go for an implant.

 Yuk! sorry to hear about the teeth, at least they're getting done now before the cruise so they will have time to heal.

[
I use a mac, that may be why, I have converted the document into a PDF, try this http://www.4shared.com/document/0pdJh9bn/DCL_journal_PDF.html
If that doesn't work, PM me your E-mail address and I will send it to you. :thumbsup2

Thank you soo much:worship: The journal is very cool!:thumbsup2

We would be interested in pins. :)

Me too!

We'll also have an anniversary (10/1) on this cruise--33 years! I was a child bride... :lovestruc

It will also be my husband Greg's 55th Birthday on 9/20.

And "hi" to all our Virginia neighbors!

Andrea

Very cool, we'll be celebrating our 15th anniversary on 10/1 too:cool1:. We booked Palo brunch on 9/30 to celebrate. couldn't take away from CC

So I thought I would contact DCL regarding the fuel supplement again noting that a number of people that had paid using DVC points were getting the supplement returned as OBC. The repsonse started with the same policy, etc, etc and pin-pointed the DVC as follows:

As far as Disney Vacation Club, these Guests are using their 'points' to
purchase their cruise. These did not reserve their cruise through Disney
Cruise Line as you did. These Guests arranged their cruise through
Disney Vacation Club and are under a contractual agreement that is
governed by the rules and regulations of their membership. How the fuel
supplement is handled is monitored by Disney Vacation Club.

We regret any disappointment and hope these concerns will not continue
to affect your regard for Disney. We hope you understand our position
regarding this situation, as this will be our final correspondence
relating to the fuel supplement on your vacation.

As you can see by the last sentence, I guess they are done with me! Both email responses (to my initial one and this second one) were from "Wilma".

:thumbsup2 for all those that managed to get your $$ back!

"...affect your regard for Disney" It certainly affected my regard.

Ssssssshhhhhhh, listen - is that the sound of pixie dust being sucked into the black hole of Disney Corporate Indifference?

I'm moving on now :cool1:

Here is to all those who got the whole fuel suplement back :drinking1

I have got to the petty worries stage of the whole planning process. Is anyone who needs to ESTA printing off their form from the website? I`m just wondering if DCL will want to see it. I know they can tell when you check in for a flight online, just wondering if Disney will be extra cautious.

The good news is we have $224 onboard credit :woohoo: Though I`m very sympathetic to those who haven`t had this returned to them.

Re the marriage thing, me and poor DH have been married 31 years. We do get on very well which I suppose is only just as well!

I used to but just usually put a post it in my passport witht he details

!!!!!!!! ive got no sound at work:headache:

Since you don't have sound, here are the words:

Gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight
Gonna grab some afternoon delight
My mother's always been, when it's right it's right
Why wait until the middle of a cold dark night

When everything's a little clearer in the light of day
Then we know the night is always gonna be here anyway

Thinking of you's working up an appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin' sticks and stones together make the sparks ignite
And the thought of rubbin' you is gettin' so excited

Sky rocket's in flight, afternoon delight
Afternoon delight, afternoon delight

Started out this morning feeling so polite
I always though a fish could not be caught who didn't bite
But you've got some bait a waitin'
And I think I might try nibbling a little afternoon delight

Sky rocket's in flight, afternoon delight
Afternoon delight, afternoon delight

Be waiting for me, baby, when I come around
We can make a lot of lovin' 'fore the sun goes down

Thinkin' of you's workin' up my appetite
Looking forward to a little afternoon delight
Rubbin' sticks and stones together makes the sparks ignite
And the thought of lovin' you is getting so exciting

Sky rocket's in flight, afternoon delight
Afternoon delight, afternoon delight
Afternoon delight, afternoon delight

Well i got my MRI results today. Well there is nothing broke, ligament damage or tendon damage. They found a slight sprain and fluid in the wrist. This did show on the last MRI and this one shows that it healing. They think that the fluid is causing the pain and swelling. They give me pills for that and they told to give it another 6 to 8 weeks.. It has already been 8 weeks. At least I'm not on any restrictions and I should be healed by the time of the cruise. :cool1:

When you go to your reservation, click on "View cruise details" it should open a page with the charges broken out. Fuel supplement will be one of the items, if you are being charged.

:cutie:

Is that only available if you're booked w/DCL? I couldn't find a link w/that name (we're with Dreams U).

Oh thank you for sharing your story! Lovely photo too. I have lots of photos of our wedding on FB which you are welcome to look at...I dont know how to add them here Im afraid!:rolleyes1

We got engaged at WDW in October 2002 while on holiday with my teenage dd (much to her disgust! ) and married 6 months later....
We didn't have a Disney wedding, though we'd have loved to marry in Florida too. We couldn't expect our family to fly over (and we didnt have the money to pay for them!) so we had a lovely small wedding in a local medieval hall....

southchurch hall

My mum made us a beautiful cake (I must try and post a pic) and we had a party at my parents house for all our family and friends.
Our honeymoon was spent of course in Florida and we did our first Disney cruise as part of it.....the start of our love for DCL too! :woohoo:

I do feel truly lucky to have met Mark, he has been my rock, and an absolutely fantastic step dad to my Becky through some incredibly difficult times.......I know it wasn't easy for a 30 year old single guy to take on a problem teenager!:lovestruc (let alone her neurotic mother) :lmao:

Ah well, what a lot we have to thank the DIS and Disney for in particular......without that mouse......!!!!

That is SO sweet; love it.

Just got this text message from my nephew Will. He is the one who lost his mother (my sister Karen) 6 years ago when he was 10. I am on the phone to Kaiser Sacramento right now and they are checking to see when he will arrive. He has Type 2 Diabetes and is quite overweight.

Any advice from those who have suffered from Pancreatitis?

Hi, It's Will I thought you need to know that my dad and I will not be staying at your house. I'm not sure when my dad was planning to stay with you, but regardless we won't now. We may come to stay later in the summer but as it is my dad is on his way to Sacramento in an ambulance, as I type this e-mail. I took him to the ER last night and he spent the night there. Sometime between 2:00 this morning and 9:00 this morning the doctors here in Mt. Shasta found that he had Acute Pancreatitis, or an infection of his Pancreas. He and I are alright and we wish you the best of summers.

OMG, will pray everything goes well for him.

Erik - maybe you want to get married on Castaway! You would have tons of friends there and it would make for a great party!!! Or the middle of the ocean would be cool - I am up for a wedding!

What a great idea! What a party!

Since you don't have sound, here are the words:

Too funny (although I think it's "motto" not mother in the third line :rotfl: ). This was DH's and my theme song way back when (oh yeah). And now I totally have that song going through my head.

Oh, and I LOVE the Mickey/Minnie wedding cake; that was gorgeous!

This is great news and hopefully the pain will go away soon. Also, Noel, please keep us posted on Will's dad. I hope Will has a great summer. My heart always breaks for kids who lose their parent(s) at a young age. It seems like they have to grow up really quick instead of enjoying being a kid.

We were talking about the first class sleepers for the airplane.

Actually - this is what I am looking at...
www.1stclasssleeper.com

gotcha! I normally just pull out my bag and stick my feet on it - but I may have to look into this thing further.
Krisann

They actually state to put your feet up on your carryon...

So on the fence with this... Really want to be able to sleep... Really not sure this will help...

Oh, they're totally mentionable on this thread! Or did you miss the Spanx conversation? :lmao::rotfl2:
...
Have to admit, I've been known to hit the GW quite a bit myself!! Lots of ritzy people in Atlanta dump some REALLY nice stuff sometimes!:cool1:

Im not sure that there is anything unmentionable on this board!! :lmao:

Thanks - I am on the mend, but will be in round 2 on 7/14. However, but the time we cruise, I should be good to go!

We really need to do a big party one night! Too many anniversaraies and birthdays to let it go by without one...

Sorry, I'll stop waffling now......

What a lovely location you had to get married! It is beautiful! Our reception location was in the middle of the woods and with all of the beautiful fall leaves, it made for a wonderful time. Granted, it rained and even snowed a little on our wedding day (I know in the middle of October, it was crazy!) but it was perfect. :cloud9:

Beautiful cake. I hope we see more photos.

Thanks! I'm going to try to find some more pictures...I know they are around here somewhere! LOL!

What a truly lovely and inspiring story!! I am so glad your found your Prince Charming and he found his Princess!!

What a shame they took down the Dismates board. Maybe there were some problems between participants.

From what I understand the reason why it was taken down was because it lost it's URL and the person who was running it didn't want to maintain it anymore. :(

I have no experience, but I do hope everything works out for him!

So glad you liked Dutch Wonderland. I love Miller's also. What memories it brings back. Does Duth Wonderland still have the swan ride in the very front?

I didn't see a Swan ride, basically as soon as you enter now, the railroad station is right there. We never rode the train but what a wonderful day we had!

Forgot to comment about the beautiful wedding cake and stories! I love it! My story is nothing related to Disney, but DH is my best friend in the whole world and wouldn't trade a single moment! On our anniversary we are going to spend a week in Park City, Utah and do some "summer" skiing, since we don't like snow -:rotfl2:

Awww, that is so cute! Have a wonderful trip! :)

That is so awesome. Congrats You had the wedding I would have  to have had.

Thank you! I did a bunch of things myself, so it didn't cost as much as it could have cost! LOL!!! The cake was included with our reception location so that worked out very well!

I am glad to hear good news for you. I am sure it was a relief to hear that it will be healed by the cruise!!
