So glad you are done with this! Sleep, sleep, sleep.

nope. concierge and castawawy club gave us different dates. I think the "birdie" info is the same as castaway club.

Annoying! I'm going to hope its on Night 11 then as this would be our first proper day in the Caribbean and we are leaving St Maarten at 5pm so would have time to do it that day. If not I guess Ill need to change my Palo ressie when onboard! We were hoping to have it Pirates night as I don't like the main restaurant menu or Palo so can eat of the evening buffet afterwards.

I guess its probably going to be wrong as I( don't have any luck these days

Just popping in with a quick hi. Been back for about 4 hours from having my op. All has gone well. Been sleeping mostly. Have pain from the op and the gas they pump in, but this will go one way or another!!!;)

I look like they have drained the life blood from my face!!!

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Glad all went well. Hope you are pain & gas free soon:hug::hug:

Ok, Question group...what quarter is our cruise considered?

Third quarter 2010? If yes the date for the Fuel Surcharge to OBC conversion would be June 17th. And we have to be under $70 a barrel of Light Sweet Crude ( or WTI) on that date at close of market.

If we are 4th quarter the date would be September 17th, which doesn't make sense for a September 18th cruise, right?

Right now it is flirting with $70 a barrel, fingers crossed that it sits steady and even wants to drop a little more.

Pj

This is a touchy subject all around. Some people were able to get it removed the first day or two after they stopped adding it to reservations but many of us are still stuck with it. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it will go below and thus we'll all get it back.

Otherwise, I will not be a happy camper with this extra charge. I understand that everyone has to pay the taxes and the port fees, etc. However, I don't see legally and morally how they can charge some people and not charge everyone for the same "extra" fee.

I guess we'll see.

What she said.:thumbsup2

I just watched a trailer for Disney's "Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time" movie. I wonder if the "special" theme night might have something to do with that? (It opens May 28.)

ok I need to catch up on here but I am hosting a Schwan's House Party tonight! Guests start coming in 2 hours and have lots to do. Will catch up on posts tonight.

I was thinking it might be a theme night for the movie that comes out when we are on board, You Again, but I don't actually know what the "theme" would be. I will have to look up the movie you are talking about.

Hi Marilyn - glad to see you are home and feeling up to posting! Glad all went well!

Have to take a moment and interrupt with a kid brag!

Stephens team is the sole remaining undefeated team in his baseball league! The final is on Tuesday night (6 om if anyone wants to make the journey to just north of Atlanta and watch the game...) and hopefully they will win that and walt away with the big trophy!

He had a rough day, flew out twice and got hit in the hands once, and instead of getting a base, the ump called it a strike. To the umps defense, he turned after getting hit and that *might* have appeared to be a swing, but one wold think that a kid holding his hand and wincing would have told a different story... Quite different from going 4 for 4 last week and then 3 for 4 in the second game of the double header...

No matter, the team is doing well and it is a great way to finish uop the school year!

Brag over, please return to your normal cruise reading!

Sue

Best of luck to your son Stephen and his team!! I love the typo "walt away with the big trophy". :rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I saw the different posts for Formal and Semi-formal nights :confused3 and decided to call Disney Cruise Line myself. I just got off the phone with Candy at DCL reservations and she advised that formal nights are night 2 (Sept 19) and 7 (Sept 24). Semi-formal will be night 13 (Sept 30) and Pirate night is night 11 (Sept 28). She said there is a theme night on night 8 (Sept 25) for Villains. She told me that there is a Villains Ball in the Atrium Lobby that night, then she put me on hold and said she talked to a manager who said the information is not clear as to Villains attire at dinner and that info would be updated next week. Candy did not have a reason why there would be conflicting information on Formal nights, as it is no secret and all agents have access to the information in their computer. :surfweb: The above information matches what the little birdie said. I hope this helps. :) If anyone else is still wondering, I would suggest you call for yourself, as this doesn't seem to be a secret. ;)

Thank you so much. I wrote everything down! Krisann - have fun with your party today too. Everybody is in a partying mood. Sue - brag about your kids anytime! We love hearing the family stories.

Just in case you didn't see on the main board:

Just wanted to pass along there's an iPod phone/touch app called Hidden Mickey's. You put in your DCL ships name and it tells you where you can find hidden Mickey's on each deck.

This is the same info Castaway Club gave me.

Is this the one with all the parks and DCL? If so, I grabbed it on sale for just .99 this week. :thumbsup2 I use a site called Appshopper to let me know when apps I want are updated or go on sale.

I love Schwan's, but not sure if we are talking about the same thing. The food delivery service?
