It is a gorgeous day. Ive got 3 hours of before I have to come back to work, I could cry at the thought, I always miss Len and the beagles so much but this makes it worse, bet the weather is back to normal 8am Monday

Hope your work time passes quickly and the weather stays till next week. I have only today off and then working another 3 long shifts Sun, Mon, Tues. Working over the bank holiday weekend too .... but keep thinking that means more cruise funds

Am starting my pre-cruise diet tomorrow ( again) as my bad eating behaviour has gone on long enough .... and with only 3 months and a bit to get organised it's time for action. Hope to lose 14 lbs before we go .... wish me luck

Yes please that would be fab! I know that this list is going to be a life saver - especially for idiots like me who tend to leave medication in hotels! I have a feeling I might end up forgetting about my tylenol when I take it out in Barcelona.

The 25th sounds OK to me. Is that the night of the formal dinner?

I think we have 15 or 16 ladies. Can you book that many?

Not weird, My DMIL can't stand anyone touching her feet. Even when the kids were babies and would crawl past she would freak out!

OK, So we booked a Cat 10, just to have the split bathroom (there are 4 of us), So what don't you like? We thought it would be easier? Please tell!

Glad I'm not the only weird one! Had a head massage last month and had to get them not to touch my neck.

The rasul is $89 for 2 people and basically you get left alone in a steam room with various muds etc to rub on each other. I have done one over here as a girlie group not realising what it really is.

I personally don't really like the split bathroom either. The actual bathroom size is larger but because its split it makes the 2 rooms smaller and I find I always end up not knowing where to put things then having to search for things.

I'm giving up on the diet! I've just not been in the right mood for it and so have decided hey if it doesn't fit now it wont!

I have decided to try and organise myself .... not an easy achievement to be honest, as I am so scatty, but I am determined to try.

This week I hope to acheve the following:

Finish ordering my FE gift materials for the ladies and the girls.
Decide on my gifts for the men and the boys.
Commence my pre-cruise diet / exercise regime.

There .... now it's down in writing I have to do it ...

WoW, this fuel charge thing is a big issue, DCL really should make it a bit fairer. I suppose they were hoping we wouldn't discuss it to find out who paid and who hasn't? Then they would get away with it? We booked October 2009 and didn't pay. I've heard from other Dis'ers that I will be charged if it applies, and others have said NO, I won't. I don't remember being told that I may incur further charges when I booked, So I don't know how they could?
How much are we talking about here, is it a flat dollar amount, or percentage of cruise cost?

I think you probably did. It would say on your cruise breakdown. Log into the DCL website and if you look at your reservation it will probably have prices on your reservation for "Cruise Fare" "Taxes" and then "Fuel Surcharge"

Fingers crossed for this weekend.....


Becky is going back to her house (she shares in Bristol where she's at Uni) for the weekend. It's her housemate's 21st Birhday so they're having a BBQ. Guess we'll see how she does on her own again.

We're having (DIS) friends over today for a mex-tex meal....margeritas in this glorious sunshine It's blazing hot already so the sun lotion is on and the coronas are chilling....I've made a lime and mascarpone torte....

Tomorrow we are off to other friends for a BBQ.......hence the diet on Monday!

The fuel surcharge for our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) is $308. (We booked on Oct. 14, 2008). Would love to get that money back and use it on an excursion or something fun. You can go to the Disney site and pull up your reservation. On the price breakdown page it states fuel surcharge along with cruise fares and taxes.

Good Day everyone

I can't believe that its only 17 weeks away.

For those of you who are "dieting", I just finished "Women, Food and God" by Geneen Roth. It was on Oprah last week. The book basically came down to be the you, you want to be and let the past be the past. DON'T DIET! since we all know that just leads us to failure. The guidelines were to eat when hungry, stop when you are full and eat with out distractions (no tv, radio, reading during eating). You can eat whatever you want as long as you follow the guidelines. It seems to simple to work. But I thought I would give it a ago. I'll let you all know how its working for me.

Just found out that my one concern for this cruise, being that I work on a University campus, was a BTS promo's end date (can't say what promo yet) will be ending on the 7th of September!!! So almost a week ahead of schedule, I am all set to go without worry!!!

YEAH, 17 weeks is going to fly by now, as our back to school shopping season is starting in just a week or so.
