Just joined the PIF club!!

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
Perhaps we should have a passport showing meet!!! I bet there are plenty of very funny ones.:lmao:
Lens is class, even immigration laugh at it, and if you get a flicker of a smile from them its an achievment
Well I have finally bitten the bullet and joined the PIF Club .... decided it might be best with the elections coming up next week and all and the pound may just weaken against the dollar. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

We are off to Mousemeets UK tomorrow ... the first ever UK Disney convention .... and we are meeting up with Lynne and Len :woohoo:
plus lots of our Disney friends from the UK. I'm really excited :woohoo:
:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:
You can scare yourself reading things up can't you? However they all have years of experience between them on the forum and like to think they give sensible advice!!

Well done on the PIF. Enjoy the Mousemeets UK.

We have just met up with Bob and Dawn and are having a meal with them later.
Cool:cool2:hope you are all well.
My daughter, although quite lovely, is not photogenic. The camera always seems to catch her at very awkward moments. Her passport looks like she has typhoid fever and and a very sore bottom. She also looks jaundiced and a good advertisement for why kids ought not to be sheltered from the sun, eat Cheetos for breakfast, and sleep less than 8 hours a night. :rotfl::rotfl: It's a truly terrible passport photo. My son's - taken at the same time looks quite nice. It's not fair. :rotfl2:

DH looks positively handsome in his, and I look dreadful. Maybe it's genetic? My 3 year old's was taken when he was seven months and he looks like a baby prisoner. He's getting a new one this year.
Thats pretty funny.
I bought the Birnbaum DCL guide for our first cruise in 2005 after having read the passporter book, and it was a pitiful comparison. More like a DCL sponsored ad than anything resembling useful information. At least that's what I remember about it. Thanks for saving us the money! Sorry you were disappointed. Perhaps you can get your money back?

Totally agree.

I should be packing for the weekend, dropped the beagles of at gran and grandads:rotfl: its weird having crisps and not having to gaurd them.:lmao:

OMG.... I just got back from the East Bound Trans and it was awesome... I went with my two friends who had never cruised before and they had a blast.... well to make a long story short, guilt set in that my dh and by 2 dd's didn't get to go, so now we have re-booked for the September return...

I am very EXCITED... I also have almost all of the navigators from that cruise so if anyone wants any information,,, I'll be glad to share.

My crew: DH - Peter, me - Denise, dd- Jessica 12, dd- Kimberly 8

This will be my 10th cruise
My DH's 9th cruise
and my dd's 8th cruise.

We also did the Trans in 2007 (the return) and so everyone is so looking forward to this trip.

Hope to see you all there.

Denise

Welcome.

It just isn't fair that we have to have passports for so long is it? So funny about your son's picture at 7 months though - baby prisoner:lmao:!!!!

"The Beagle is the most ancient breed of hound. In a smaller orm, she was used to hunt game hundreds of years before the advent of the Romans. A dog of great dash, the Beagle is relentless in the chase- the rabitt and hare being its accustomed quarry. The Beagle is also friendly to the world, as can be seen in her soft brown eyes, and is as good a house dog as she is a keen tracker."

ps..ours steal our food too.:thumbsup2

Our beagle stole chewed up and sometimes ate photographs!!!:headache: And food, and tore wallpaper off the walls.

Last weeks question:

When Walt was in his early teens he met another boy, and the two did an act together in which they would impersonate Charlie Chaplin. What was the name of the other boy Walt did the act with?

Answer:
The correct answer was Walt
Walter Pfeiffer and Walt Disney combined their talents impersonating Chaplin, in an act they called "The Two Walts." Some of the Mickey Mouse cartoons feature Mickey portraying Chaplin, too. There are a lot of similarities between Walt and Mickey

So, the rankings are:
Ann (Bareacuda) 8
Stephanie (Steffy) 4
Sarah (Gismo1554) 4.5
Angie (Mrs Mork) 5
Sarah (Totallyangelic) 12
Thecooksluvdisney 2.5
Sue (Sukraft) 6
Amanda (Acourtwdw2) 1
TheDisneyGirl02 1
Heather (GOS) 8
Dolphingirl47 2
KellyJeanDVC 1

This weeks question:

Goofy hasn’t always been “Goofy”. What was his original name?

PM answers please.

Way to go!! We no longer have the Disney Visa because they raised the rates so high. We had been with them since "Day 1" and were sad to give it up but we canceled all the cards that raised our rates "just because". We have excellent credit and the response to why the increase was pretty much because we can.

Us, too. Day 1 pin and all. Used the points for all of our extras on a previous cruise. But the increase in interest rate was totally unjustified, so we closed it.

Goofy's original name was "Dippy Dawg", which became "Dippy the Goof", which became "Goofy".

Which all fits, because Goofy was (and still is) my favourite character, and I'm pretty Dippy myself!

In fact, one of my favourite photos from our first cruise is me with the Goof-meister, arm in arm, with me wearing a t-shirt that says (and I quote) "I'm with Goofy!", with a picture of Mickey pointing towards Goofy standing right next to me. Hope he'll let me take that picture again....:rotfl2:

Hi Ya'll,

Long post but happy results!!! :goodvibes

After suffering two weeks from Vertigo, I am feeling about 99% better tonight. I had called the Dr. on Monday and he gave me some information to check on the web for some exercises. He also did mention that there is a center that helps with the dizziness and if I wasn't feeling better in a few days, we could consider that. I called back yesterday and my information was given to the center and they called today and I was set up with an appointment for next Wednesday. But I told her that if there was any cancellations to call me and I could make it in since I wasn't working. Well as luck was in my corner, she called back and there was an opening for today. When the therapist started asking me questions and explaining how the inner ear works and the dizziness affects one, I felt such a relief. I was feeling all those symptoms and I knew I was going to be helped. Then we did a few exercises to find out where my problems was. She then had me put these big goggles on and I could not see but there was a little camera inside that could see my eyes. She had me lay down and the world started spinning but I had to keep my eyes open. That was hard. Then she sorta jiggled my head and tapping on a few places. After that, I rested and we did it all again. She feels that she was able to manipulate the crystals and I should be feeing much better. I have to admit that driving home I was already feeling much better. I did take a nap this afternoon cause she did say I would be very sleepy. For the next few days I have to sleep on just my left side and by next Friday, I will go back in and she hopes this visit helped me so I don't need another treatment. :cool1:

Yes I am a little miffed that the Dr didn't mention this sooner even though I know they usually like to treat with medicine first. If I hadn't seen my sisters post to me about manipulations and crystals, I would have not known to ask more questions and get more help.

One thing I was thinking in regards to the linked dining - That means we would all be on the same dining rotation, of course. So which rotation would it mean? I know they used to structure the rotation assignments where one was geared more toward families with small children (almost always starting in AP), one more toward adults, and one for adults or those with older children. I don't know if they still do that or not, but do we have any idea which rotation we'd be looking for?

I've usually tried to find the rotation that put me in Lumiere's on Formal night, and PC on pirate night, though the recent rotations have made that more difficult. I really don't want to be in PC on formal night, just because it always seems like a contradiction to be all dressed up in such a casual restaurant.

On our last Magic cruise, there didn't seem to be any rhyme or reason for rotation assignments.

We always request a rotation that puts us in Lumiere's on formal nights, too. We also reserve Palo for casual nights (usually on AP nights). We enjoy getting dressed up for dinner - which is one reason you'll never find us on NCL!!!
