Oh the lithographs appear to be similar to the 2007 design - with a porthole and characters around it

Also the mixology class seem to be better. 10 people per class and you get your own glasses etc to do the mixing. The one I did on the 11 night SC cruise was just they asked for 1 person to pop up and help for each cocktail. No fun at all

Oh thanks Marilyn! Oh and question - trying to send back the navigator you kindly leant me - whats your surname? Im sure I have it somewhere but I can't find it. Got the address details

Oops, sorry. Mitchell.

Oh Lynne, that is so very annoying. I wish they would just keep things how they were when people book! We had a very small flight time change for our flight out to Barcelona, but nothing at all like this one. How far is Dublin centre from the airport? Any chance of a couple of hours there?

We once booked from our local airport, only 25 minutes away, to Madeira. Then Thompson just cancelled all the flights, so we had to move to Manchester, 2 hours away(not too bad I know). It was an extremely early flight, so we stayed overnight.:headache:

I think I agree with you.:sad2:

I did think about that, but weve been to dublin and I suspect we will be just desperate to get home by this time.

result, after nearly 2hrs and 20 quid on hold to lingus.
we are flying back to edinburgh(5 hours wait at dublin)
kiss our 100 quid car parking goodbye and pay to get the train to manchester, at least were on 30mins away from edinburgh, but still, its not fair, they just do whatever they want, someone else from this cruise was on the same flight, cant mind who now, Ive a terrible memory.

The real annoying this is we could have had better flights to barcelon from edinburgh but need to go back to manchester, Ive had it with all this nonsense, I mean how many times do I have to sort it???
It better be worth it!!!!!!!!!:cool2:

I think it was Bob and Dawn, but not sure.

:blush:Finally, after reading over Jon (pilk's) shoulder all this time, I decided to create my own account on this board. He often shows me the things he posts , yes, he is right when he says they are his opinions and not mine!!! I have no clue half the time what he is saying on here. :confused3 I guess this way, I can keep a better eye on him.
So, hello to all of you. I know Jon is getting to know you, I guess I should get in on the game and meet you, as well. I'm starting to recognize some of your names that he mentions. It will be nice to finally meet you, in September.
I know it has been a bit, but I do want to personally thank you, all for all of the kindness you showed us, this past winter. Jon did show me all of your well wishes. It was so nice to know that you all we thinking of us during our rough time. Each and every one of those e-mails were appreciated more than you ever can imagine. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.:flower3:
I look forward to getting to know all of you better.

Candida
:welcome: I just can't wait to meet you Candida. I'm so happy that you have recovered. But life with Jon has got to be a hoot.:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hmm... I was hoping that the litho was going to be the same size as the Panama Canal one. Does it look smaller to anyone else?

I was planning on taking the poster tube again to put the litho in. I guess I won't need to. :confused3

Holy cow this has been a busy place of late! One would think that we are cruising in 148 days!!!

I will work on catching up this weekend. I am not on call, and we are just about done with remodeling our MBR closet. (Had to do this so I could get organized to pack!!)

Anyway - for those that are staying in the Orlando area pre or post cruise Restaurant.com has a 80% OFF deal right now. The code is MEAL. Some of the restaurants listed in the orlando area are as follows:

I didn't see any restrictions, and they are delivered electronically. The prices per certificate are before the 80% discount - so a $25 certificate comes down to $2!

Not a bad deal if you think that you will use it...

The last TA ones were smaller than the Southern Caribbean cruise. They were slightly larger than A4 (I think its 10x14 but can't really remember). Its the same size I think looking at it

Thanks for the size!

I may end up trying to get a smaller tube to put it in. I'm not sure that I can guarantee its safety if I have to lay it flat in our duffel bags.

So, you guys are a hard group to keep up with! I was out of touch for a week and wow! I had to spend 3 days of time, around work, the kids activities and redoing the MBR closet trying to catch up!

So, this weekend we are looking to catch up on our tasting groups, as well as the website. I still have the FE to work on - but I think that is under control. Glenn has been looking for ways to open up either blogging, or discussions there, so it is possible that we will have a way to list our port info there before the weekend is out. (Of course, now that I have said that, baseball will get rained out and Glenn will have to re write multiple schedules...)

Question for the others trying to organize tastings... Are you trying to set up provate tastings ahead of getting onboard? Or are you waiting until you are onboard to try and make it work? Just wondering how to approach this. I have the lists (that was the easy part, yes?), just not sure what the next steps are. Is there a magic number that we need committed to be able to get a private tasting set up, and will they do that in advance?

OK, back to the normal scheduled programming...

Sue

Do they have tubes in the shops?

Do they have tubes in the shops?

They did on the Panama. But they were big.. 31 in by 2.5 in in diameter. I think they were in the $5 to $7 range.

We had to do some surgery on our tube before it would fit in the suitcase.

Our Panama Canal litho was printed on paper that is 16 in by 20 in.

FOR THOSE ORGANISING ALCOHOL TASTINGS ETC

I spoke to my friend who organised Champagne tastings on our last 2 cruises.

"Hi Marilyn, here's the person that I work with on the shore side before boarding. They like you to contact them 4-6 weeks before boarding. I write to her at: DCL.Function.Requests@disney.com

Just tell them to say that they got her info from a Champagne Girl. Dorothy knows the Champagne Girls and she has both of our group pictures.

Tell them to verify once onboard because sometimes there's a mix up or some last minute changes. Onboard the Magic I spoke with Mombuso...just ask for her at Guest Services. "

Hope this helps.

I got all excited this week when I got an email saying Mary Poppins is playing in Melbourne in October, but alas neither Robert or Mum want to come with me... some feeble excuse about the cost, as it would be within a few days of getting back from the US. Not sure if I can justify going on my own, it will be expensive... the timing sucks! :headache:

If I had the extra money to travel to NZ, I would so go with you to see Mary Poppins! Sadly, there isn't any money right now...no full time job, no extra money.

On an a more exciting note, my sister bought us tickets to go see Glee in concert in NYC next month!!!! It's at Radio City Music Hall which is exciting because I've never been to a concert there before. I haven't been to NYC (we live about 2 hours away) for a year and a half, so I'm looking forward to it.
