Of course,if we do the room tour, it wouldnt have to have the beer thing, just optional!! I would love to do a scottish theme, irn brew and tunnocks tea cakes and some beer from local brewers.

Sounds fab

Right Ill put you down to collect names for the beer thing and well go from there.

Oh and to collect names for PJ Breakfast if that's OK? And decide on a date

Whew!! I left for a couple days and there are 4 bazillion posts to go through. I promised myself I would try to keep up with you guys but its tough!

Someone was talking about booking flights. We used airlineconsolidator.com and got a great rate from Boston to Barcelona on British Airways. roughly $400.00 a piece.

That is a great rate! I will check them out since I don't have airfare from the States yet. Thanks for the tip.

Talking of food, DH and I are now on a weight loss challenge to see which of us can lose the most weight before 1st May. Basically my weight has been up and down since January and despite every good intention to lose before the cruise, I have let things slide a bit lately, to the point that yesterday we both stepped on the scales and I was the heaviest I have been yet this year and DH not much better. So with only 6 months to go we decided that we would give ourselves a challenge to see if that would help get us started in the right direction. I actually need to lose at least 14lbs, and aim to do that before the end of July, so the May date is just a short-term goal and I would like to lose 6lbs by then. If I don't get it off I won't fit into any of my cruise wardrobe, so it's not an option, it's a necessity. Wish us luck :wizard::wizard:

I feel your pain. And I think its great that you and hubby are doing this together and setting small attainable goals. You are gonna look FABULOUS when we all see you in September!!!!

OK all we still need a few volunteers to organise things. Obviously if we don't get people to organise them then they wont be able to go ahead.

PJ Breakfast at Lumiere's - Someone to decide on a date, collate a list of names and give numbers to DCL before the cruise

Group Lunch at Parrot Cay - Someone to decide on a date, collate a list of names and give number to DCL

Cabin Tour - Someone to decide on a date and take people around the rooms

Beers of the World Exchange - Not sure how others feel about the practicality of this but need someone to collate numbers to see where this stands

Ice Cream Eating Competition - Need a volunteer to collate names as well as organising this with DCL. This again may not be viable but best to gauge interest first.

Combined Early Dining - Someone to collate names and organise with DCL

Group Photo - Someone to arrange a group photo perhaps on the day of PJ breakfast or Pirate night or both

Dis Tag - Someone would need to arrange this. The idea is there's a tag magnet that has to be passed between rooms during the cruise. Not 100% sure on the rules but I'm sure someone out there knows it.

Anyway if anyone can help let me know?

I can do the early dining group. Just PM your names to me if you want to sit as part of a large group early dining. I will NOT do anything with it until after all have been able to book Palo, excursions, spa, which is, I think, 45 days prior to cruise. I can then send the info to DCL dining and get us all seated in the same area.

As for loosing weight, I am so with you guys! I have been doing the Belly Fat Cure for about two months now, trying to loose weight for our Med cruise. I have NEVER been able to loose weight (also hormone issues). I am down 9 lbs! And I feel fantastic, lots of energy, no mood swings. I highly recommend it.

What do you do on the Belly Fat Cure diet? That is definitely one of my problem areas.

I attended first day meets on Deck 9 and at the Promenade Lounge.

The Promenade Lounge seems to be a much better place for a meet.

Woody

We had our last cruise DIS meet in the Promenade Lounge and it worked well, and Woody was there too :goodvibes:goodvibes

I am happy to do the same thing for the late dining group ...... so if you all PM your names to me if you want to be in the group and I will keep the list. Thanks :goodvibes:goodvibes

First day of diet has been tough. Tony has gained a head start by going for a run this morning when I was at work. I ate nothing but salad and fruit for lunch and have ended up with very painful guts  Must get on the Wii Fit tomorrow and try and get out for a walk in the morning :goodvibes

That's not good Sarah...try some porridge/oatmeal in the morning.

We did about 30 mins tonight on the Wii Fit. More tomorrow.

I knew I could give the CM's food (am planning on taking TimTams for them;)), but can i make up little lolly bags for her to share with the other kids?
I'm not sure if they will allow it.

Putting me to shame here! Still not paid in full!
Me Neither. I'm putting it all on the Disney Visa and paying it off over 6 months. Well that probably won't happen, but at least I'll get Disney reward points and 6 months interest free!

OK so I've asked over on Facebook too but wanted to see what people think over here too.

What would people like to be included in the Navigator?

So far I have included:
  • Ship Itinerary
  • Info on the ports off the DCL website
  • Map of the ship
  • List of Dis names including a column to tick for those people that you are doing the FE exchange with
  • Celebration dates
  • Activity dates
  • Notes page

Can anyone think of anything else they would... like in the Navigator?

Its going to be a pdf with around 20 pages of info but it will be 2 pages per A4 sheet double sided so will fold into an A5 (I think) booklet hopefully (Penny is a genius in being able to do this).

Im going to send these out before hand so people can print them out ready to take with them as this saves on trying to work out the logistics of carrying them all. Hope this is OK with everyone? For those withough printing facilities I'm sure I can bring a couple of them along!

This sounds great. Will you have our cabin numbers listed as well?

Oh yes sorry didn't mention that! The list has cabin nos too

I was just on the All Ears site and noticed they do not have Madeira listed as a port of call but on the DCL site it is listed. I wonder when we will know if it is still a stop or not???

Ok folks, I will sort the room tour (beer/taste of home thing optional)
I need ideas when we want to do it, I will collect cabin number nearer the time. Also are the kids doing it?

I thought, I could do something that everybody could print out, we meet at a location then go around the cabins???
It will be a squeeze but good fun.

Any other ideas very welcome, its your room tour, tell me what do do.
I will do a list of who after weve sorted the details.

Anybody fancy orginizing the pj breakfast??
Probably easier If we keep things seperate.
And I dont want to get confused.com:confused:

Thanks for this Lynne. I do have a copy of the map I did for the one in 07 (it was a pirate map). If you wanna have a look at it let me know. Oh and there are some rooms already listed on Post 7 that volunteered to help out!

Shame about the weather, sidey way snow and hail, its disgusting out and its meant to be summer!

Terry, our pc cruise is the same, it is missing 2 ports on the disney web site, but lots of folks say, that it will be fine, they seem to miss ports and stuff out on web sites but they are normally always on.

Curious that Allears took it off but DCL has not. Maybe just an oversight on Allears part. :confused3

We actually already have a Cat 10 assigned room. We had to have a room number before we could book on DVC points. Let me know when and if you need/want the number!

We're really looking forward to seeing everyone's rooms!!!
