I was just on the All Ears site and noticed they do not have Madeira listed as a port of call but on the DCL site it is listed. I wonder when we will know if it is still a stop or not???

Over on cruise critic there is a Madeira local who helps cruisers out and much of Funchal is in good shape already.

We actually already have a Cat 10 assigned room. We had to have a room number before we could book on DVC points. Let me know when and if you need/want the number!

We're really looking forward to seeing everyone's rooms!!!

Would a sea day suit you??

Thank you all for your warm welcome! I am so excited for this cruise and all the fun things thta are happening on board. That's why I love the TA, so many sea days!

As for loosing weight, I am so with you guys! I have been doing the Belly Fat Cure for about two months now, trying to loose weight for our Med cruise. I have NEVER been able to loose weight (also hormone issues). I am down 9 lbs! And I feel fantastic, lots of energy, no mood swings. I highly recommend it.

Good for you! I bet it feels fantastic!!!

Great! I am also PIF on the cruise. Flight over to Barcelona is paid and flight home is paid. Hotel in Barcelona is booked and money put aside to pay. Now just need to work with my DS and DIL on the WDW Hotel for after the cruise!!
:cool1::cool1::cool1:

What do you do on the Belly Fat Cure diet? That is definitely one of my problem areas.
Do they have a "bottom and thighs fat cure"?:rotfl:

First day of diet has been tough. Tony has gained a head start by going for a run this morning when I was at work. I ate nothing but salad and fruit for lunch and have ended up with very painful guts  Must get on the Wii Fit tomorrow and try and get out for a walk in the morning :goodvibes
Oh, you can't live on that, unless your a rabbit, Oats are good for breakfast, keeps you going all morning!

This is what we have then. As and when we decide on dates for things I will add them into the Navigator.

Wow, how long is the cruise again, I think we'll need longer than 2 weeks to fit all that in! Please don't think we are big snobs for not putting our names down for any of meets, I am travelling with my 2 DD's who are 8 & 9, and this is our first cruise, so I'm not sure what to expect. I wouldn't want to drag 2 tired kids along and have them play up! :goodvibes

No one would ever think that! I'm in the same boat as this is my other half's first cruise so I don't want to sign up to anything that involves being scheduled as he's likely to find something else to do and I want to spend the cruise with him. I think this is prefectly acceptable and I'm sure there will be enough people taking part that it doesn't matter.

I'm going to jump in and say I think thats a good option as its the second day in the big block of sea days. When we did it it took around 2-3 hours to get around every room so you may want to make it a little earlier say 3pm just incase its formal night or anything.

My husband isn't too keen on organised events and likes to go with the flow, particularly till he gets to know people. On the Panama Canal cruise when many other cruisers had got to know each other through the thread, or meets, I just knew I couldn't force him into anything so he could enjoy the cruise how he wanted to. Being scheduled or being 'encouraged' to be part of a group is his idea of a nightmare. I went along to a few things and enjoyed what I did.

Same as Dan. He likes finding out the info and chatting with people but he'd rather not have to do it! I've convinced him to do the FE exchange and that might be my limit lol

Yes, John is happy to help with the FE. We enjoyed a couple of lunches with Mrs Mork and Dr Hug(Angie's lovely hubby), but we had met them before, and also went along the old geezers group and big photo shoot!!! Once he met a few people he enjoyed a chat here and there with them. I think that was it as a couple.

We steer clear of big tables at dinner also as we both find that difficult, and prefer no more than 6 really.

We sound so unsociable don't we?:rotfl2:

Don't worry Marilyn I'm with you! I'm such a fussy eater that can't stand having large tables. I just end up not eating and then the waiters feel bad and kind of push me into ordering something else that I don't like!

Have you seen the new kids sail free for the Baltics offer? I wonder if they will start releasing Cat 12s for our cruise soon or if they aren't going to bother?

We were originally booked on the Baltic cruise, but it was $11,500 for a Cat 6(2adults), and that for a port intensive 12 night cruise!!!! Soon came to our senses, but would like to do it one day. Would probably go with another cruiseline that would be under half the price though.

I think there have been a few people cancelling.

I would imagine there will be offers of some sort for this cruise. I'm hoping so in case we have to cancel and then hopefully rebook!!!!!

Im hoping for that too. Do we loose our deposit after Paid in Full date if we have to cancel?

I did look it up last week, but forgotten the details!!! I think you lose your deposit from PIF date until about 45 days out, then I think it might be the full amount, not too sure there. I think if you use that deposit to book another cruise that is ok, so I guess that would be an option, then moving back to the TA later?????:confused3 Possibly too stressful that though.:scared1:

We have 3 weeks from me seeing the consultant to PIF date.

Good morning everyone! Havent been on in a few days. With the move in less than 2wks we are busy packing! Been watching flights and they seem to be doing a bit of ping pong with the prices....so we are waiting and hoping. We will see! I am still trying to stay hopeful that we can do this trip. I just cannot seem to figure out another alternative trip if we cant go on this cruise!!!!! I mean, what kind of plan B to you have for a TA cruise!!!??? LOL!

I think we are still doing Maderia. AllEars has it listed as Funchal and there isn't a link.

Candida is the same. She is very "selective" when it comes to food. We could have a table of "select" diners :goodvibes

Well I am lucky to have a husband I can drag to things. Though I know he hates large group functions. But once I get him there is is Mr. Comedian. His way of coping to to make people laugh. I can not drag him to too many things though.

But I at least keep him informed of what the Dis group is planning and he has agreed to do some :) No dragging :)

OK big help question. We would be interested in the Beer room tour. How do we get our Precious Canadian beer packed properly. Bottles taste so much better than cans.

I am not a drinker but hubby likes the odd beer. Has anyone tried the new beer light. Full taste with only 67 calories. :)

We have a handicapped cat 8 window room. Guess if we are doing beer we should also show our room.

Wish we had the inside cat 11 accessible that room is huge :)
