I have only found one for the kids. I emailed about it as the cut off is 11 or 12 and Stephen is 13, and looks it... They were fine with him getting into the class (chocolate modeling) but then suggested that we book with DCL. UUGH! I think I remember someone posting that DCL wouldn't let people that were in Barcelona prior to the cruise join in on any of the excursions, so that is out...

The kids still would like to do it, but there is so much to do that this might slip... Hopefully they won't get too upset with me... :)

Thanks for confirming what I was finding. I guess I will look else where.'

Well another thing off my to do list. I prepaid for our airline seats. Next is to arrange transportation from the port to Orlando airport (we have used a couple different companies before so I need to decide whichone this time) and possibly from Barcelona to the hotel. Is everyone else using a car service or taking a taxi? We did taxi last time, but did not have any luggage.

Tomorrow I will contact my bank about purchasing some Euros.

Hope I have not forgotten anything.:confused3

Someone was talking about booking flights. We used airlineconsolidator.com and got a great rate from Boston to Barcelona on British Airways. roughly $400.00 a piece.

It looks like we'll plan to start around 1700. If anyone is still out on a tour at 1700, just join us when you get back to town!

For us it will be 4 people

One good thing about being unemployed is I can cook for my hubby every day. Loving watching Rachel Ray and getting some great recipes. Last night Spring Chicken Meat Sauce and pasta. Tonight was pasta with Pancetta and Peas. Her version of BLTs with pasta coming up!!!! YUM!!!!!

Yes, I know, I am getting antsy and kinda going a little crazy. :lmao::lmao:

But once in a while, I know that if I am having a bad day with my back or having a migraine, he will gladly step in and cook something for me. He is one that after over 40 years, I will definately keep. :goodvibes

Hello everyone! I am new to this thread. WOW! What a busy thread it is. I have been busy getting ready for our Med cruise in May but thought I would pop by and introduce myself.

My DH, and DS (7) are very excited to be doing the west bound cruise. We have done the esat bound last time and had a blast! My only regret was not getting on the boards before hand.

I look forward to catching up on the past 3 threads. :rotfl2:
:welcome:

How wonderful. Something we all can aspire to acheive. Wow 40 years.

Talking of food, DH and I are now on a weight loss challenge to see which of us can lose the most weight before 1st May. Basically my weight has been up and down since January and despite every good intention to lose before the cruise, I have let things slide a bit lately, to the point that yesterday we both stepped on the scales and I was the heaviest I have been yet this year and DH not much better. So with only 6 months to go we decided that we would give ourselves a challenge to see if that would help get us started in the right direction. I actually need to lose at least 14lbs, and aim to do that before the end of July, so the May date is just a short-term goal and I would like to lose 6lbs by then. If I don't get it off I won't fit into any of my cruise wardrobe, so it's not an option, it's a necessity. Wish us luck :wizard::wizard:

:dance3::woohoo::cheer2::yay: We are almost there, just a little over a hundred to pay on the cruise. Then need to save some spending $$$.
So close! You'll get that feeling soon!!! Spending money - How many currency's do we need? Pounds, Euro's and US$ ?
Great news :woohoo::woohoo:
Thanks!

I feel your pain, I am currently trying to lose some serious weight I have put on over the past few years due to some hormone issues. I am working with a trainer 3 times a week and seeing a naturopath, it's hard work!!! Good Luck!:goodvibes

I need to start dieting properly - and using the wii fit! I think we (me Mum & sister) are going to start doing Vibrogym at our local salon as this is meant to burn 500 calories in 10 mins! Sounds good to me.

OK so I've asked over on Facebook too but wanted to see what people think over here too.

What would people like to be included in the Navigator?

So far I have included:
  • Ship Itinerary
  • Info on the ports off the DCL website
  • Map of the ship
  • List of Dis names including a column to tick for those people that you are doing the FE exchange with
  • Celebration dates
  • Activity dates
  • Notes page

Can anyone think of anything else they would... like in the Navigator?

Its going to be a pdf with around 20 pages of info but it will be 2 pages per A4 sheet double sided so will fold into an A5 (I think) booklet hopefully (Penny is a genius in being able to do this).

Im going to send these out before hand so people can print them out ready to take with them as this saves on trying to work out the logistics of carrying them all. Hope this is OK with everyone? For those withough printing facilities I'm sure I can bring a couple of them along!

This sounds like it is going to be my bible! Maybe opening hours of restaurants, kids club, Palo, etc.....Don't really know, just a suggestion?

Basically its a vibrating plate you do exercises on and it increased metabolism and loads of other things.

Here's a link

I'm hoping it will be very consise. Ill have a look see if the restaurants tend to be open set times (which I assume they are) and put them in or at least put in which meals you can have where. Also will add kid club times!

Oh, we have one of those things in our home gym. It was sold to us as being good for circulation. My husband stands on it sometimes, Maybe I should try doing some exercise on it! I didn't know it was so good for weight loss, Thanks!

Can't wait to get my little navigator, think I'll laminate the whole thing, sounds like i'll be using it heaps, being a first time cruiser!

Off to bed now, It's 9:20pm here. :goodvibes
