I will be on board at the very earliest opportunity ...... and will eat at Topsiders outside in the fresh air ... don't know what I will eat but likely salads, fruit, chicken and dessert!

We have been going through our old Passporter and getting very excited :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

Also checking out things on TripAdvisor but this has got me a bit worried:

http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUser...-The_Rock_of_Gibraltar-Gibraltar.html#REVIEWS

I am not a big fan of large apes at the best of times and I will be avoiding these as much as possible. I do want to go up to the top of the Rock but hopefully won't meet any of these guys along the way :scared1: especially after reading this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...italised-attack-rampaging-apes-Gibraltar.html

I haven't had any Tapas and quite like the idea of it but NOT if it is seafood. The same goes for Paella. While I can eat prawns I do not like any of the shellfish or squid type things. Sangria is also a big "no no" as it would give me a massive headache being red wine based. I guess I won't be immersing myself in the Spanish culinary culture too much :rotfl:

We do :rotfl:

Would take about 30 mins to unpack. FE hanging up and magnets on door, round about the same time. We will be looking out for the wonderful Dennis, our server from last time, but our assistant server Laura moved to the Wonder, so we won't see her unfortunately.

Next question .... What does everyone plan to do in Gibraltar?

Sarah the Apes aren't very big and are really cute honest! They are about the size of a medium dog and last time we saw a mummy nursing a baby it was so so cute.

We are doing the Rock tour I think

OK, First of all, Can I please add my daughter, Arabella's birthday to the navigator. It is actually on the 15th, but we will be in transit, so she'll have no celebrations until we arrive. She's turning 8 and doesn't quite get that you can celebrate your birthday on another day, She thinks she going to miss out!:sad1:

I'm glad I'm hearing some positive SSR feedback, we are going to stay there for 12 nights after the cruise and was wondering whether we'd made the right choice.

OOHHH, I'd love to answer, but this is our first cruise and I have no idea. Probably take us an hour to find out room! As for eating, dessert, what else!!! Everyone knows vacation calories don't count!!! And I didn't know all the restaurants were open for the first lunch, Do we just turn up anytime, or do we have seating times for lunch also? SOOOO much to learn!:goodvibes

Arabella's birthday is on the list!

Not only did we get an email we got a fedex envlope. A sticker was left on our door saying we missed a package. We were not expecting anything. But I traced it and knew it was coming from Orlando.

Yes they send the email card in the mail. I kinda scratched my head wondering why they would spend the money to ship this to Canada. But it is a nice keep sake as it has our family name on it :)

Welcome back! So did you upgrade to a Cat 8 or get a nice bump?

We got a nice bump. Maybe you remember we booked a accessible stateroom 11. They messed up our reservation and we were told that there were no rooms left. After back and forth. They moved us up to a category 8 accessible room. :)

Sorry I have been so absent. We were in Fl for a few days on a last minute job thing. So, the suspense is over....we are moving back to Florida...in 3wks! OMG!:scared1: I am excited and overwhelmed.....
So now the big thing, we want to keep the cruise but we need to find some cheaper flights....anyone have any luck lately????? They are SOOOO HIGH right now!!!

Thanks guys!

It does look a bit too crowded for comfort, and with it being chartered by DCL the cost has increased a bit too - from less than 30 euros to $95 for the trip. Well it looks like that's not really an option then .... I guess we will just wander around the town for a while and see what happens.
Ah, we'll have plenty of time to cruise on the water.

You could walk round to the town and take the cable car up to Monte and back. Great views down to Funchal and you should get great photos of the Magic in port!!
Sounds like a group opportunity!

What tcan we get on board?
If DCL looks at this group they might not let us on board:goodvibes
What time are you going onboard?
As soon as the shuttle get to the terminal
What are you going to EAT when you get onboard?
Most likely but something edible, but I have been known to take a dare or two:goodvibes
How soon will you be unpacked?
Unpack, :confused3, Due to luggage limits I might be only bring the clothes I am wearing. It's going to be a long two weeks.
Jon

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:
his cabin will be the one with the clothes tied to the balcony airing out

How exciting. I wish we could do that!!!

We were away last weekend taking my cheerleaders to their National Championships in Orlando...and I'm pleased to say that we finished up an undefeated season on a high note by winning at nationals! :cheer2::cheer2: (And one of my freshman girls entered individuals for her age group and she won in her division, as well, which was quite an accomplishment!)

Congrats!!!

You will be stuck with your cruise kids. Reanst and me:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'm hoping for a drop by Aer Lingus before final payment. That's my personal deadline for finding flights at a decent price. My dad will be coming from Orlando, but it seems that his best deal will be to fly to JFK (I live in CT, so that's where I'll be coming from) and fly to Barcelona from there with me. It's a substantial difference in cost, and the flight MCO to JFK will only cost about $100.

They sent ours to scotland!

See, all that worry for nothing!

Who is buying harc t-shirts?
I love buying them from all over, my fav is from grand caymen, with a pirate theme.
Gotta love the hrc:love: Anybody been to original in London?

My fav in New york, the balcony seating is amazing, we were there 3 night and ate 2 !

I am quiet at work, gonna find out which ports have HRC,

DH got a very neat Pirate shirt at the Hard Rock Cafe in Nassau.

Seems thats the only one!!! on our cruise, although a few on my PC cruise;)

Hee hee ,sorry.

That list is definitely shrinking. I can remember walking past the Hard Rock Cafe in Frankfurt quite regularly and we have eaten at Hard Rock Cafe in Birmingham. Neither is on the list anymore.

ok my question is how come some got a card and dvd and others just got a card and others have got nothing for their cruise yet. I sure would have loved the DVD. Since they sent a card to Canada and even Scotland rofl.

Wonder if the boarder customs guys were bored and decided a good disney cruise dvd was worth watching :)

Found some flights on Aer Lingus for $720pp so I am considering jumping on them soon.

Anyone who has done this in the past got a good deal within 3-4mths out???
