I'm glad to hear your MRI is done. I've had my fair share of MRI and waiting to find out the results is not fun. Hopefully you will hear something soon.

Way to go, Erik! That is so cool!!!

As far as the 5K, I'll have to watch from the sidelines. I have had my ACL reconstructed 3 times (twice on my left knee, once on my right) and I'm not allowed to run without my knee braces, which are very uncomfortable and cumbersome - they won't be making the trip for sure. Best of luck to everyone running though! :thumbsup2

My mom had knee surgery yesterday (it was just a scope) and she felt wonderful all day yesterday. Very little pain - she said it felt like a dull toothache. I went back up to my parent's this morning before my dad left for work so I could stay with her and all of the sudden the pain hit her like a ton of bricks. :sad1: She was in so much pain today and I felt so badly for her. She has been taking her pain meds but it's not helping. My sister and dad are on Mommy duty tonight and then I'll take over tomorrow morning again. She has physical therapy and is very nervous because she knows it's going to hurt. I really dont' like seeing my mom in pain...

Dave thinks he may have caught a cold from his friend so I have a sick husband and a hurting mom...not a fun combination!
Poor them, and poor YOU!
Nicely done!

Do you need lap counters while you train on deck 4, we can hold up cards with numbers from the blue deck chairs, lol.

Pj

oh, bless you, your so kind:rolleyes1

I like the look of this boat trip in Madeira:

http://www.madeira-web.com/PagesUK/santa-maria.html

I had looked at that - at least I think it was that one. The thing that concerned me was that the decks looked absolutely packed!

I read through a thread that had a lot of input from a Madeira native named Biaria. There was so much info that I copied big chunks of it into a Word file. I haven't digested it, yet.

The one thing I did accomplish, however, was that I made reservations at the Old Blandy Wine Lodge for the Madeira Wine Company tour and tasting:drinking1

A man with a plan!

Funny, last disney cruise I was going to book a excursion on the old pirate ship at grand caymen, and thats exactly what put me off.

Maybe we should say 4.30 or between 4 and 5 ???

See , I CAN make a decision.

I e-mailed the apartment folks today and asked if we can pay to get into it early, they were very nice and said, no probs, it only cost 25 euros to get in in the am as opposed to 4pm, our flights at 10am so will save a lot of hassle, i hope it lives up to its expectations, I will have the washing machine on any way before we leave!

Here's the updated list:

mdwoodman (2) – 17th
birkner (2) - either
KermitRocks (2)
pjpoohbear
Terapin – 17th?
TotallyAngellic (2) – 16th
MrsMork (2) – either (prefer 17th)
nacho1337 – 17th
1DisneyQueen (6) - 17th
Dizneyholic (2)
orlandothebeagle (2, maybe 4) – either
dolphingirl47 (2) – 17th
su_kraft (2+2) – either
epcot1stfave (2) – 17th
coconut1 (2)

As I was trying to catch up (long flights today), I realised that as I was going from one page to the next, sometimes someone would post and that would cause older posts to drop from one page to another. So, without going back through all of them, it's possible that I may have missed someone. No slight intended! Just let me know.

It looks like the 17th is the favorite. Now, we need to narrow it down to a time. I know some people will be on tours during the day, so we probably don't want to start it too early. Plus, most restaurants in Spain don't open for dinner until 8 or 9 pm (I guess that's why tapas are so popular!). Perhaps 4 or 5 (that would be 1600 or 1700 for our international friends:laughing:)

Just throwing it out there, let me know what you think.

Please add Walt & Di - 2 Walter and Diane :thumbsup2 17th, arriving 16th...

Thanks :)
Walter :cool1:

5 or later sounds good to me.

I went back through the boards and came up with the following people expressing an interest. Naturally, this is tentative until we decide when (if) we're going to do it.

OK, First of all, Can I please add my daughter, Arabella's birthday to the navigator. It is actually on the 15th, but we will be in transit, so she'll have no celebrations until we arrive. She's turning 8 and doesn't quite get that you can celebrate your birthday on another day, She thinks she going to miss out!:sad1:

:welcome: on board

I don't understand why people say that Saratoga Springs is not themed enough. That was not my impression at all. I have to say though that my benchmark is Old Key West where the theme is very understated. The size does not worry me either. Again, Old Key West is huge and we love to stay in the Turtle Pond area, which is about the furthest you can get away from Hospitality House.

I bought my new Fish Extender in August or September last year. I had bought one for our very first cruise in 2008, but I wanted a new one for this cruise as it is so special. I have got all my graphics sorted out for the magnets and just need to find a way to get them printed so that they look good. For some reason if I try to print them on my printer they have stripes all the way through. As far as Fish Extender gifts are concerned, I might need to go back to the drawing board. I got some supplies for what I intended to do, but I am no longer quite happy with this and will have a rethink. One formal dress is ordered and I have chosen the other one. Essentially I am not far off saying I am ready to go.

Corinna

I'm glad I'm hearing some positive SSR feedback, we are going to stay there for 12 nights after the cruise and was wondering whether we'd made the right choice.

I am just getting excited about getting onboard.
What tcan we get on board?
What time are you going onboard?
What are you going to EAT when you get onboard?

I dont really need to know I just want to chat about getting on the MAGIC
:cloud9::yay::woohoo::cool2::cheer2:

OOHHH, I'd love to answer, but this is our first cruise and I have no idea. Probably take us an hour to find out room! As for eating, dessert, what else!!! Everyone knows vacation calories don't count!!! And I didn't know all the restaurants were open for the first lunch, Do we just turn up anytime, or do we have seating times for lunch also? SOOOO much to learn!:goodvibes

The list gets pushed down so fast, I have to keep re-posting it! Two names added:
