I am so ADHD today. I was tryng to see what event have been planned and I am lost. Where should I go to check this out and sign up.

I have been working on FE gifts and was also wondering if their was a total number yet?

Last question for today, promise. Should I be checking here and the other site for info Unot sure if it is all the same group of people)?

Post 7 has most of the stuff that is going on or has been suggested. Some stuff still hasn't been organised and if anyone wants to volunteer for it let me know and I will add you on to the post.

I think FE we were aiming at groups of 25 roughly rather than having to do everyone ensuring luggage isn't an issue.

Ok this sounds cool - where do I find the info on it and how do we sign up! I finally "registered" us on the website and put down to be on the FE and secret Mickey. All 4 of us would like to do the candy bar exchange but maybe if there are multiple groups can we be split up?

We do not officially have a room assignment but will be in a cat. 9 as we are not booking until we are onboard the EBTA in a few weeks BUT we do have our airfare back to Barcelona already - so we are ready! I am at the hospital with my son who got a spider bite (but he is going to be fine - we will go home in about an hour or so) but I had time on my hands so I was getting somethings in order for joining this cruise and adding the logo to my sig. I am looking forward to this cruise too!

HI and welcome :welcome: Sorry to hear about the spider bite :scared1:
Have a wonderful time on the EBTA :goodvibes

After getting more money on a Disney gift card, I met Stephanie for lunch at Paniera Bread. YUM So then we went to Costco and I found some cards for pictures on my camera since I am not taking my computer. I figure I have enough space on the two cards to take 9,000 pictures!!! I couldn't take that many even if I took a picture of doorknobs and windows!!!!! :lmao:

We weren't ready to go home just yet. So we went to a very nice restaurant and sat out on their patio and had some martinis. Mine was with watermelon and Stephaine's was a Key Lime. Very tasty. Not quite like being on the ship but the sun felt grand. After that, we said our boodbyes and since I had gotten up so early, I went home and took a nap and then was looking at shore excursions.

Sounds like a great relaxing day :goodvibes You mean you don't take photos of doorknobs and windows ???

We are thinking of picking up a 1 terebyte drive just to dring with us for the number of pictures Candida will be taking. It's no problem for her to take a couple hundred a day. That's the great thing about digital compared to just a few years ago having film. It's no problem to take a few hundred and not worry about processing.

Jon

I don't know how I coped without digital photography. :confused3

Hi Guys, back from Tenerife, brown and spot free for a few weeks! had a great time, went sailing and whale watching, they were actually itching on the keel, then I got to score something of mmy bucket list, I jumped into the atlantic from a vessel.....HAPPY DAYS!

Picture from balcony, bloomin macdonalds!!!!!!!!
tenerfie.jpg

Sounds as though you had a great time :goodvibes Was the Atlantic cold? Please don't try that again on the Magic ... that would be rather worrying :scared1: Lovely view ( if you block out the McDonalds :rotfl:)

Do you think you can request one?:rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Now we are past the 6 month mark I am starting to get really excited.
My Disney addiction is taking over, I spent the day making stateroom ears and magnets (I don't want to have a naked door), Journals and Activity books for my DD's and a countdown chain. Now I'm narrowing down my FE idea's.
Is anyone else as obsessed as me, or am I a freak? :rotfl:
Ok, everyone tell me what planning, buying and making they are doing so I don't feel like I need to see a Dr for my addiction!

Don't worry you are not alone! I am always thinking about what I am hoping to make for FE gifts. I have starting ordering some of the bits I will need. I am also making some "thank you" cards for the cast members at the moment.

Oh and by the way

HAPPY SPRING EVERYONE !!!!!

We made the call a while back to divide into smaller groups to help with the luggage constraints. So, we are breaking into groups of 25 or so people. I will try and have the groups started and posted this week.

Not sure what other site you are refering to. Do you mean the transatlantic website? http://www.transatlanticpirates.com/ :confused3, because if it is, then that's us.

If it's another forum like Cruise Critic, it might be a different lot of people altogether.

Check back here regularly though..so that you can keep up-to-date with all the news, gossip, challenges, etc. etc.

The bag I'm looking into is the Pacsafe TourSafe Sling/Backpack. It is slash-proof & also has hidden zippers to protect from pick-pocketing.

Also, pacsafe has a slash-proof camera strap. Do you think this is also necessary? I've read so much about the pick-pocketing. It has me worried.

TIA :grouphug:

Hey MissMet - I don't know if you've already purchased your Pacsafe, but there is a section on their website with "specials" that have some of the bags 1/2 price.

As soon as Stephanie and I signed up for this cruise, we started planning. When we worked together, we would talk Disney every day when at lunch.

Sooooooo, we have been planning for almost two years. :lmao: Unless I get different material, I already have our FE made. We were just talking about making changes on what we will put on our cabin door this time and what we will keep.

I have been stressing about the FE gifts for a year now. I have some of the things already.

How's that?????:rotfl:

Have supplies for waht I am making...
Have magnet paper and Ink
Have daily magnet lists so I can change the door throughout the cruise
Have started a list of what I am packing
Have bought new dresses for DD and started her packing list
Ordered and recieved new luggage... (No clothes in there as yet...)

OMG - I think that this is a DISorder of sorts... :rotfl2:

I am really looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival. We were at WDW for the first time during the Food and Wine Festival last year and I really enjoyed it.
We also enjoy the Food and Wine Festival. It's a great way to be adventurous and try small portions of different foods from around the world.

They also have some very enjoyable concerts in the evenings.

It certainly is .....

Me too .... and guess what .... it's incurable :rotfl:

Gotcha :-)

Oooo I haven't looked yet - we don't usually do a lot of shore excursions but I do like to look at what is available.

I'm so sorry - I started gathering names then I played around with my spreadsheet and then couldn't remember who was a definite and who just said it sounded like fun (but might not necessarily want to be involved).

I think I have nearly caught up now with everyone. :headache:

Still taking names for the list and I'm going to PM everyone to see if I can get a clearer idea of numbers and what they want to swap - chocolate only or chocolate&candy or candy only. Then I'll see what I can come up with for numbers this far.

I was referring to the transatlantic site. Good to know it is all the same group of folks.

I've been getting excited since i booked the cruise (on the morning they were released) but now the 6 month mark is passsed I'm really excited.

Been thinking about what to make for FE gifts and making little napkin sketches for ages. Been buying craft supplies as i saw them now i'm ready to actually start making!!!

I am really looking forward to the Food and Wine Festival. We were at WDW for the first time during the Food and Wine Festival last year and I really enjoyed it. We are seriously considering doing the deluxe dining plan this time round, which should give me plenty of snack credits to use at the Food and Wine Festival.

If I ever had the chance for a nice long stay where visiting the parks was not a priority, then Animal Kingdom Villas would be my resort of choice. I just loved sitting on the balcony watching the animals or going to the outlooks and watch the animals and chat with the staff. I did not get half as much park time as I had planned beforehand while staying there.

I was so pleased when i realised we'd be there for Food and Wine fest. I never normally visit in October so never dreamed i see it, Now it's like an extra little treat at the end of the trip.

We booked for DVC AKV, i so so so can't wait to stay at this hotel last trip we did dinner here and really enjoyed the atmosphere in the evening wandering around on the lookouts.

How wrong is this ???

I'm alreaddy thinking about what book i want to pack to read on the cruise

I'd picked this really fat paperback that i'd never ever get the time to read at home, and had visions of myself spending long lazy afternoons on deck sipping a drink and enjoying each word.

Now i realise that i prob be spending more time enjoying the onboard activities than reading, I still plan to take a book.... Just a much thiner one.

Anyone else picked out their reading material yet?

I was thinking about reading material just the other night! I typically bring three books - one for each plane flight and one for the ship. I never go through all of them, but I hate the idea of being stuck on a plane without a book! I may up it to four for the TA, but I'm not sure yet. I'm a rather fast reader, so one book wouldn't even cover my TA flight, much less my cruise. Right now my thought was to bring the first four books from the Dresden Files series, but that could easily change.

4 Books!!! You do read fast! I normally spend most of the flight trying to work out how to get my headphones to work for the onboard entertainment system. ;)

Those planning to book massages, if you don't want a man, add that to the reservation. I almost fell off my chair when a young man came to take me for my massage and wasn't comfortable at all. Spoilt the whole experience and the birthday $'s given me that I used on a expensive hot stone massage.:sad2:

If you don't mind, then enjoy it!!!!!:lmao:

Sorry you had such a bad experiance with a male Massage therapist.
DH is a massage therapist and would do nothing to make his clients so uncomfortable.
I personally look for a therapist with the best certifications in what I want from a therapist. Gender has nothing to do with it.
For all thoses who use a massage therapist, you are the one that can stop any massage at any time because you feel uncomfortable.

And once again, sorry you had such a uncomfortable time.

I am thinking about buying an Ebook like a Kindle. DH keeps bringing different ones home and I am enjoying using them. I am searching to web to see if any of my favorite authors will have new book releases will be and I will save a few for the cruise.
