Is it too late to join? My DH and I just booked this cruise - our first Disney cruise and first cruise together. Sadly, so far the only planning I have done is booking the cruise - you are all so far ahead!

Amanda- we are worried about the same thing...we are watching the fares and they keep going up! Since we need 4 tickets and arent sure where we are flying from, it is hard to jump on them now....I am hoping we dont get stuck paying too much! When are you flying into BCN????

Boys are doing a little better. DH and I spent the day at the Detroit Kennel Club Dog Show. It was wonderful! A whole afternoon of fur babies!! THose of you dog lovers will understand my joy! We learned alot about many different breeds and feel confident we found our next dog- a soft coated Wheaten Terrier! We will most likely wait till AFTER we move again and AFTER the cruise, but it was so fun to see them and play with all of them! A nice day!

Hi all! We are still booked on this trip and REALLY want to go, but our Fall plans are still so much up in the air. I'm applying to Nursing School. I won't know if I get in for Fall 2010 or Spring 2011 until mid to late May. If I haven't heard by final payment day we will have to cancel and then rebook later. Silly - since it will likely be a matter of just a few days mismatch, but oh well! I'm hanging on to my ressie as long as possible!

Anywho, that's why I haven't been very active recently - that, I'm taking 5 classes currently! I just took the final for one class though so I'm rewarding myself with a little DIS time.

Hope you can still cruise with us in the fall but education comes first. I'm also a fulltime student so i will be doing homework on our sea days. When we went in February i sat in Cove Cafe and did home work.

This was my week in Quebec. Ice diving and rappelling. The quarry is 128' deep with a submerged plane, "submarine", two cars, a boat and a couple other small items. In the summer they have a bungee jump area and a zip line across the quarry.

Welcome aboard! And greetings to another from the DC area! There are several of us if the map is still accurate that has where everyone is from posted on it!

Never too late, unless the ship has left the dock. Welcome. I am glad to see there is another group from the DC area. There are a few of us.

We are using Disney air because I will only fly United so I can get the extra leg room by using economy plus. We already have our flight information because we paid for the deviation. Their pricing is about $700 per person cheaper than I can get it through United. This is for a regular coach ticket as we are eligible to fly in economy plus for free because of our status with United. Some people have found great reates with US Air out of National, but that fare seems to have been short lived. Good luck on the flight search.

We originally booked DCL air as a backup, but booked with US Air back in January when they had the fare sale. Though we also have status on United, I couldn't justify the fare difference since the US Air ticket (one way to BCN) was only $401/pp. But we are still getting United mileage credit for the flight, and still get free bags via the Star Alliance Silver status. Plus, since we can't fly non-stop from Dulles or National, I really wanted a flight that had 1 connection in the US, so we didn't have to worry about transferring in an international airport.

Though we live right by Dulles airport, we're actually flying out of National, since there were more flight options that resulted in shorter layovers in Philly. We're going to try to fly back into Dulles after the cruise though since it's so much closer to home.

I am going to check the RT air vs the one way to see if it helps. Last week I saw tickets for 525 and now they are 740! UGH!!!!! I hate waiting but we have to....at least a little longer!

My kids will be 12 and 14 at the time and they are just itching to get on this cruise. We've done Disney cruises before, but never for 2 weeks. I'm pretty sure they plan on ditching me once we board the ship. I guess I'll have to find some way to amuse myself!

I'm getting very excited about this cruise. Looking forward to meeting you all too.

We are in Orlando at the momemt - into our last 2,weeks of our almost 6 wek trip, and I don't want to go home. Coming for so long we find a cheaper place to stay for the last few weeks and kind of live here, rather than be tourists, if you understand what I mean. Lots of cheap meals at the villa and cheap eateries out. I could come for the winter actually, but that won't happen!!

Anyway, I heard last week that I have to have an MRI scan as a follow up to a second ultrasound I had just before we came away following the attack of Acute Pancreatitis I had last December. It is worrying me a little, and I hope all comes back clear and we can focus on this cruise. A little concerned about insurance for this cruise in case they won't cover me!!! The radiographer wondered if she had found some very small gallstones, or an area of wall thickening of the gallbladder, but it wasn't conclusive even after scanning for 30 minutes. She was going to show the consultant Radiologist and see if he would recommend a different scan. I didn't expect this at all though. I just thought they would whip the gallbladder out(small op these days) and be done, presuming that was the cause of the Acute Pancreatitis attack. Ah well, we will see eventually. Can't do anything from here, so have decided to relax and forget about it!!!

I understand you being sad about coming home. The end of the vacation is always a little tough for me. But try not to worry about your test results. Hopefully everything will be just fine and they are just taking precautions.

We are very blessed to be able to be here so long. We are retired(well John only semi) and our son is now running our business earning our pensions!!! I would love to try for longer, but the Panama Canal cruise gets in the way next year!!!
