How funny we looked at the trip reports today and found exactly the same information:rotfl:

I can't remember when / how we found out about the number of formals last time:confused3

Hopefully someone in the know will post a reply for us::MickeyMo

Even the WBPC in 2008 had the same formal night schedule, but I can say that few cruisers were dressing up on the second formal night. Most seemed to treat it as a second semi-formal night instead.

Reading through another thread, there was a report of a Semi-Formal night on the first Day at Sea of the long stretch. It also said that the night before Castaway Cay was Semi-Formal.

So, one Formal and two Semi-Formal nights? Anybody know any different?

I was able to register for the Give A Day--Get a Disney Day and went today to do my thing. I took calls at our local PBS station. There were a lot of other Disney folks too. I took my Pal Mickey along too.

On a sad note, our one cat Miles who we thought was still mourning the loss of another cat that we had is going downhill very fast. Two weeks ago we had taken him to the vet because he had lost a lot of weight and he discovered he needed thyroid medicine. Today he is breathing really hard and is not purring at all. He is 16 years old so his time has come. We still have our two female cats. One is Miles' sister.

Good morning everyone :goodvibes:goodvibes:goodvibes

Just leaving now to pick up DD for our King Tut weekend. Talk to everyone later!!
Just intrigued as to what a "King Tut" weekend involves ... unless it's the obvious and you are going to look at ancient Egyptian artefacts.

Hello All,

Just crossed over from that "other" board. Stuck my pin in the map, signed up on the Pirate Roll Call, and said yes to the lanyards - just not sure if that is sufficient to sign up.

I need to send a PM to Sue but can't until I have 10 posts, so expect to see some rapid fire posting! :rolleyes1

Michael

Hi Michael :welcome: Is this your first cruise?

In perusing the "Trip Reports" Board, it appears that, at least on the 2007 WBTA, there were two formal nights. One on the first day at sea between Barcelona and Gibraltar (although in 2007 the itinerary was different) and one on the last sea day before Castaway Cay. Anybody have any better info?

I think we are all waiting to find this out ..... I need to know before I start shopping :yay::yay::yay:

Sorry to hear about your poor cat :sad: it is always heartbreaking when that time comes.

Thanks! I'd like to pay ours off now but just wondering if anyone else has been able to do this?

I don't think we have paid. I was assuming we pay when we get there. I suppose if you email them you might be able to pay in advance before you go.

Nice pic.Im so sorry about your cat, its horrible when the end comes, it is such common common thing the heart failure with hyperthyriod, it is corny but true, 16 is a good age, none of my cats lived to that age, we lost them at 8,12 and 13.I am sorry, its bloomin tough:grouphug:

Sarah - I emailed DCL and asked about a month before our cruise last time. On the EBTA it was the exact thing I'd been sent, on the WBTA they had changed one semi for a formal night.

Reading through another thread, there was a report of a Semi-Formal night on the first Day at Sea of the long stretch. It also said that the night before Castaway Cay was Semi-Formal.

This is where it gets confusing. On the EBTA last time we had 1 formal and 2 semi. On the WBTA we were told this is what it would be but the daily navigators said it was 2 formal and 1 semi. It was very confusing.

Sorry to hear this. Our two fogs were the same, the one died and the other wasn't the same after. Died around 2 months later. I hope it all works out OK but just keep thinking about the positive things!

:woohoo::woohoo: Its back! :woohoo: :woohoo:
:yay: :yay: Its back!!! :yay: :yay:
:dance3: Wahoo!!! :dance3:
:cool1::cool1: Its back!!! :cool1::cool1:
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

What am I cheering about? The website!!!

For all newcomers please go out to:

Sign up for roll call, FE, Secret Mickey and hopefully more to come soon. lanyards are listed - but I am not sure that they are using that list (Someone let me know!!)

Anyway, the site is back up and Glenn has moved on to baseball scheduling for our 13 year old. Actually - it could be rescheduling as I think the rain has done in opening weekend...

Excellent...thanks for all your hard work.

Hi everyone,

We have not checked in for a while, so I wanted to do just that. Plus, I have a good reason to. When my DW, Lauren, and I made the decision to do the Westbound Transatlantic, we asked ourselves "When are we going to be in Europe again?" Since I am a horrible.....HORRIBLE flyer, I told her that it wouldn't be for a while. :rotfl:

Anyway, we decided to make this trip count. Our original plan was to fly into London on Sept 7th from Orlando, then head to Paris and Disneyland Paris (We just have to, right?? :laughing: ), visit some of Germany, then ending up in Barcelona for a couple days before we board the Disney Magic for the first time. Since its the Disney Cruise that is the main reason for the trip, I am counting what I am about to tell you as a major pixie dusting. Even if Disney had nothing to do with it.

Our neighbor, without us knowing, entered us in a radio sweepstakes. Well, guess what....WE WON!!! :banana: We won round trip airfare from Orlando to Amsterdam!!!! :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:

We are just so excited and know that this trip is meant to be!! Now, if it will only get here already!! :lmao:

We still have alot of planning and booking left to go, as I am sure many of you do. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as we can on our journey together!! :goodvibes

Daniel

Congratulations.

Think that's about right. They might have a semi formal and, of course, Pirate Night. The rest will be casual.

OK so as we haven't seen CruzDirectorKaren over here for awhile I thought I would volunteer again to do a mini navigator for the cruise if people would like it? It would be sent out before the cruise so people could print a copy themselves and bring it onboard (mainly because of limits with luggage it worked out the best way to do it on the WBTA last time). If people dont have printing facilities I can bring a few spares too.

If people are happy with this Ill get to work? If people have any special dates (birthdays or anniversaries etc) that they would like noted in the navigator let me know and I can add these in.

Also can someone send me the details of the premeet/s that have been organised in Barcelona so I can add these too?
