I want time like that!! Unfortunately, I work long hours, Glenn works long hours and we have a 13 and 6 year old at home... While he can babysit his sister for short times, it is work that gets in the way most of the time...

We went through that when the kids were home. Since now we are empty nesters, we can find more time to spend together. It is harder to spend time with kids and GK's as they are just as busy!!

DH took me out for a lovely Japanese sushi meal last night.

He is just so sweet. We had a wonderful Indian buffet for lunch a few days prior. We try to make time during the week just to reconnect as he works long hours.

If you want to get the £ sign from a US keyboard:

Hold down the ALT button (usually located on either side of the space bar) while typing 0163 on your numeric keypad. Voila!
To get the € symbol: Same procedure, but the code to type is 0128.
May be just easier to type euro!

So, thanks to everyone's advice, I did book another cruise (Yeah!). I am going to Alaska on May 17,2011.

I have a question about strategizing to get a discount. I know when I am on the TA cruise that I should inquire about prices/offers for a future cruise. When I meet to talk about a future cruise, should I mention that I have an existing reservation or just ignore that. Then, if i get a better deal, i could just cancel the existing reservation without any penalty.

Any suggestions? What has worked for all of you in the past?

Here is what Stephanie and I did. It was about a year ago that we booked this cruise thru Disney. When we were on our four day cruise last Dec, we asked about this cruise. We already had an OBC of $100 each. But once we got the information, we gave them our reservation # and rebooked this cruise and saved about $500 more pp and we still have the obc as well.

I love taking pictures of food too! I'll have my camera every night at dinner for sure! When my sister went on a RCCL cruise last summer, I asked her take pictures of the food and she wouldn't! Oh well...

Hi everyone,

We have not checked in for a while, so I wanted to do just that. Plus, I have a good reason to. When my DW, Lauren, and I made the decision to do the Westbound Transatlantic, we asked ourselves "When are we going to be in Europe again?" Since I am a horrible.....HORRIBLE flyer, I told her that it wouldn't be for a while.

Anyway, we decided to make this trip count. Our original plan was to fly into London on Sept 7th from Orlando, then head to Paris and Disneyland Paris (We just have to, right?? ), visit some of Germany, then ending up in Barcelona for a couple days before we board the Disney Magic for the first time. Since its the Disney Cruise that is the main reason for the trip, I am counting what I am about to tell you as a major pixie dusting. Even if Disney had nothing to do with it.

Our neighbor, without us knowing, entered us in a radio sweepstakes. Well, guess what....WE WON!!! We won round trip airfare from Orlando to Amsterdam!!!!

We are just so excited and know that this trip is meant to be!! Now, if it will only get here already!!

We still have alot of planning and booking left to go, as I am sure many of you do. Looking forward to meeting as many of you as we can on our journey together!!
