Well, I've just booked our flights to Barcelona with an extra bag each, and our hotel room at the Holiday Inn Express. We are flying out on the 14th.:yay::yay:

o, ok Sarah, if you really insist.:goodvibes:thumbsup2

A) What port are you looking forward to most and why?

B) What are you doing for xmas?(assuming you celebrate it)

A) What port are you looking forward to most and why?

My dad is looking forward to Gibraltar. I'm looking forward to all the glorious days at sea! :goodvibes

B) What are you doing for xmas?(assuming you celebrate it)

Since I work as a pet sitter, Xmas is super busy for me. I typically squeeze in a late visit to Grandma's house on Xmas eve. I have stepkids that come Christmas afternoon, so I usually work my schedule to be there for present time.

1. All of the European ports
2. For it to be over. I work retail and not a big fan of this time of the year. I know that I sound "Grinch"-like but this is my 22nd holiday season in retail and the customers just keep getting nastier.

Looking forward to the monkeys in Gibraltor.
Being in the medical field have to work Christmas morning, So will be celebrating in the afternoon. The best part we will be also celebrating my dads 85 birthday. He will be cruising with us also.

HI All,

It's been ages since I've been here and missed ya'll! We're starting to get excited about this upcoming cruise even though it still seems forever away. The spring and summer will fly by once we get through the Christmas season.

When we first started this journey to the journey, I volunteered to do a Scrapbook swap meet. We did it on the EB Panama Canal cruise and it was a great help in getting my scrapbook done (or almost done . . .LOL). Has anyone else taken up the banner? I saw on the website someone wanted to do a scrapbooking class . . awesome!

So, I will do better and visit here more often. DH finds it very amusing how many of us know each other already when we get on board.

Enjoy!

I am trying to organize the scrapbook from my last 2 cruises still. Ihave to get those done before this trip, or I will never get them done.
I need to buy my albums still so can only think and organize some pages until i get out to buy them. With the bad weather coming I wont be going out today.
I know what you mean. I'm almost done with our EB Panama Canal. I found an enforced deadline really helped. My kids included my scrapbook in a school project on Panama . . .LOL. Still didn't get the Castway Cay pics in it.

I was so grateful to the ladies on my cruise who did a Scrapbook Swap. Each person selected one page and put together enough materials for everyone to have a copy. We each added our own photos can created the page the way we wanted. Mind you, I just went to get ideas and everyone was so kind and shared much of their materials.

You can get the pages done . . take your time . . it will be worth it!

Have to agree with Annette all of the European ports, we've done the Caribbean ones before.

Holiday plans- shopping with my dad on Christmas eve for my mom, then we stop off to have lunch and a drink. Christmas eve night hanging out a our parents house. Then if Annette and I exchange gifts we open them around midnight. Then its back to the parents house by 8:00am to have breakfast, open gifts and watch the Disney parade. Then its off to my Aunts house to celebrate with the extended family which usually ends in the wee hours of the 26th.

1. We are really looking forward to all the sea days! But we are excited about the whole trip! And the monkeys! LOL!!
2. Christmas eve at my cousins, and christmas day at my aunts house. I am working Christmas eve day, but then off. I love christmas, gotta start my baking a week or so earlier! Busy time for me!!!

1) Gibralter, we are both history buffs and really look forward to this.
2) Christmas Eve open house at friends. We are having a Christmas Party at our house on the 19th. Christmas Day will likely be quiet at home. I will cook a prime rib.

Had a tough weekend at work, had an intruder!!! Me and him walked into each other at the back door, which leads to the yard, scared me senseless(or something like that!) Anyway , then I went to run(away, obviously) and I fell over my laces(which were not tied) to be fair he probably got as big as fright as me, so then, the police and police dogs came, they got some one, Vet id him in a drive past! then the police got called away, then they came back at 3.30am for statement, (still no sleep) then at 4.30 went to bed and lay awake spooking myself till 6am when it got daylightish, then I got to sleep, then..... wait for it, cid came to take finger prints at 7.30, it has been a hellish busy day, even had some one pull me up on the phone cause I called her Miss, she says" I am a mrs " I say" I am sorry" then she says, " Its just that it bugs me when folk call me Miss and Im a mrs" I said(under my breath) Well excuse me if I am too busy dealing with rtas, heart failure, cats attacked by dogs etc to ask your maritail status, oh and by the way, Miss is much better than the a***ole I am calling you now.

Glad I got that off my chest!
WOW, On the bright side it can't get any worse!

1. Most looking forward to Port Canaveral......yes, i realise the cruise is over then, but that is when the shopping begins for me! The shopping is amazing in the USA compared to Australia! DH is looking forward to all those sea days!
2. Christmas Eve is my birthday so will be doing the big family dinner. Christmas day we'll be at DH's for a summer lunch of cold ham, turkey, prawns (I think you call them shrimp), salads and fruit (mmmm, mangoes!). I will be making my fav, key lime pie, yum! It will be super hot, so probably spend most of the day in the pool.

Questions.

1) Gibralter as we have never been.

2) Going to our daughter's on Christmas day. They have 4 children under 11, and our son, daughter in law and their 2 year old cutie will be there too. Lots of fun. Boxing Day we are going to our other son's and they have 2 daughters 11 and 9. Quieter day, but the girls are harder work than the others as they want attention, but we will have a lovely time there too.

1. We love the sea days - but suspect that DW is keen to get to St.Maarten for the Tiffany shop there.

2. We host Christmas for the family. This year it'll be the three of us, plus my parents, brother and his wife. Mulled wine for when everyone arrives, then a full Christmas lunch with all the trimmings, after which we open the presents. Things usually degrade then into people snoozing on the sofa whilst new video games are played and chocolates are eaten, interspersed with trips to the kitchen to nibble on leftovers and top up glasses. On Boxing Day the family tradition is to go to a pantomime - usually in London or Birmingham. Silly hats are worn, and there is much booing and hissing at villains, cheering of heroes, and shouting of "he's behind you!" and "oh no you didn't!". Funny how it takes 6 adults to accompany 1 child (actually 15 year old now) on this trip to the theatre lol.

A) Castaway Cay because I loved it so much last time but it was all over so quickly. Also St Maarten and Tortola as I visited there back in 1989 and it will be interesting to go back. Also looking forward to Barcelona as I will be so excited ...... oh heck .... I'm looking forward to it all :yay::yay::yay::yay:

B) I am working until 8pm Christmas Eve .... then to my Mum's house with DH and the kids to have a chinese meal. We will spend Christmas day with my Mum, and it will be tinged with sadness, as we have lost 3 close family members :sad1:(Dad, Nan and Sister) in the past 2 years and it will be very strange just being 5 of us. In the morning DH is working until 2pm, and Mum and I will probably visit the graves. We will have Christmas dinner in the evening after opening our presents, and my stepkids will come around for the evening, when we will play games or watch a movie. I am not really looking forward to it to be honest and will be glad when it is over this year.

I would love to join in a scrapbook swap / class as I bought a scrapbook on my 2008 cruise but just don't seem to be able to get started .... I could certainly do with a few hints and tips and advice from seasoned scrapbookers !!! :worship:
