Ok update still have fingers crossed. The supervisor Roy left a message on my home phone. To let me know he is still working on it and will resolved the issued. Apologized for the miscommunication and apologized for not keeping my disabled room. So he said he will get back to me in a few days.

The more I think about it. I think this is probably what happened. I was guaranteed a handicapped room. But at the time the could not give me a room number. And some how the paper work got messed up and whoever sent out the confimations miss read it and put Guaranteed 11 instead of acknowledging it was a guaranteed 11 handicapped. That is just my guess.

It helped to know Roy called back and left a message. Still trying to stay positive though my walk is like frankenstien right now.

So keep you fingers crossed the pixie dust is working. Thank you all for your support :)

I hope it works out for you. That is a good sign that they called you back.

LOL we may have a list of people willing to double date the way its going so us poor sods can get Palo. Still living in hope that longer cruises will count as more than short ones as I've done 2 14night cruises and 1 11night cruise plus 2 4nighters!

I agree, doesn't seem right that my 29 nights on the Magic could carry less wait than someone else's 18 nights on the Wonder.

Anyone else tempted to try to squeeze in a couple of 3 nighters to bump up a level??

Good morning everyone,

For anyone who didnt see the news today.
The Disney Wonder rescued a man at sea at 12:15 a.m. today.
Witnesses said he jumped off his balcony of the Carnival Sensation.

It was a miracle to find one man in the dark in the ocean, that was awesome!

He had been treading water for 90 minutes when they found him. The Dr. said he was in good shape just tired.

When they retuned him to PC this morning he was quoted as saying he felt he should be able to get back on the Sensation for this weeks cruise.

No reason listed for why he jumped, but my guess he was drunk;)

I dont think Carnival will welcome him back again:lmao:

Kathy

Hadn't seen that one. Wow.

My God lol! He was a lucky man!

I wish we were nearer so we could! Being on number 5 is so annoying!

Kathy we are all thoroughly jealous of you right now! 21 cruises!

DITTO!

Or you andTony can always have a double date with DH and I one night at Palo!! We can book early!:cool1:

Ann :cheer2:

Thats really sweet of you to offer Ann - hopefully we will get it on our 90 day window, although choosing the date will be difficult as we don't know what else will be going on. :confused3

Well, my bags are packed and I just have today to work. So looking forward to a week at WDW and the family cruise! This will be cruise number 5 for me, so still a silver CC member. I have a pal in Florida (who's a CM) and I think she and I need to take a four day in Jan or Feb, so I can be gold level for this cruise! :lmao: It sounds like a good reason for another cruise.

.

WOW! Have a wonderful wonderful time xx:cloud9:

I reckon he just wanted to be on the best ship:laughing:

A bit of a desperate measure to get on it though - yikes! :scared1:

Hopefully we won't have to worry about Palo reservations....it is a 14 day cruise?

How many reservations can you make ahead of time? There should be plenty of seats for all the sea days? I hope? I hope.

SO EXCITED!

Air Canada just announced DIRECT flights from Toronto to Barcelona! The price is pretty good, but they only allow you to book round trip tickets (where the price is not so good).

Anyone know if we'll be able to book a one-way to BCN on Air Canada?

Can't we book round trip and just not fly back on the return flight?

Just wanted to pop in and say hi. I am off to Rochester, NY tonight for DCA (drum corps associates) championships. I am so excited that 1 year from Friday, I will be headed to Barcelona!

OH!! Drum corps! DH, aka DrHug, is a huge DC fan. He marched with the Velvet Knights way, way back in 1965 when they were CA State Champions.

We are at five. And I am off to WDW for the week with my son. We had thought about a cruise. But he wanted to go to the parks instead. he is a younger adult, never cruised. But if I had know about this I would have found a way to at least do a 3 day rofl.

So I have just decide that we will try and book the first trip on the new fantasy. Cause being only silver right now have no chance on an accessible room.

Since they gave away my accessible room on this cruise and still waiting to see what they are trying to do. I still might be at 5 by the time they announce the second ships maiden voyage. Cause my hubby will never want to cruise on Disney again :( But I am sure Disney will come through. I am a glass half full. My hubby tends to be an empty glass. That way he does not get his hopes up. Well that sure makes life boring rofl.

Gonna be MIA for a few days so hope everyone has a great weekend. Fingers crossed the weather in Devon will be nice.

Even though you are on the ship longer you are still limited to 1 brunch, 1 tea and 1 dinner at Palo. And on the repos I've been on, those timeslots do sell out. But you can usually get more by adding yourself on the waiting list once you board.

Hoping the weather is lovely down in Devon for you Sarah xx

The rain actually stopped here today and we saw the sun - but it's very windy! You're right - it has been a wash-out of a summer (for the third year running!)

Thats good - I only want one dinner and one brunch so hopefully we will manage that during the 2 weeks.

Yes, many times, around europe, they have been a bit guilty of cancelling flights if they are not busy in europe but never on transatlantic flights, mum had flown with them to fl, funny thing was we convined her to come to fl with us, no seats on our flight, she booked with globespan for half the price she was was due to leave 15 mins after us, we actually waved to each other sitting on the planes, and yes, typical, there was a fault with our plane, she took of and we sat in the plane for 2 hours while they checked it, and she sat in sanford waiting for us!!! So yes, I like them, they have never cancelled any of our flights, I know lots of folks who use them and transatlantic flights good. We went with them to prague, tenerife and stuff a lot and they were perfect.
I am hoping I can fly with them also to barcelona, If I can help with glasgow at all just say.

Thank you for the info. :thumbsup2 Lauren is worried about them after reading some of the reviews that she found online. We will certainly keep them in our prospect list.

Hi everyone!
We booked this cruise onboard after our first cruise on the Magic 5/16! We were part of the Key Lime Pie-rates DisGroup and had a blast meeting our fellow Diser's. Looking forward to being part of this group as well!

I've been waiting to post until I had read all the threads and finally after some 750 pages I'm finally done!! :woohoo: I feel like I have gotten to know some of you already!
I'm Chasity and my fiance is Gus. We celebrated our 10th year together on the 5/16 cruise. We currently have no date set so no wedding plans anytime soon. No kids yet. We are both in our early 30's and this will only be our second cruise and our first trip to Europe! We can't wait!!!

I think the last question posted was what trips we have planned before this one...
We live in Southern California, about 30 minutes from DL so we have passes and get to go often. We'll be spending 3 days there next weekend to attend the Disney Expo!
In Oct we'll be heading Vegas for 4 days to see U2 at Sam Boyd Stadium!!
In Nov we'll be going to WDW to particpate in the first ever east coast Mouse Adventure that we do here at Disneyland ever year...
http://www.mouseplanet.com/mouseadventure/
We'll be staying 2 days at AKL and 5 days at the new Bay Lake Towers!
We'll also be heading over to Universal since we haven't been there since 2001.
On Nov 21st & 22nd we'll be staying with our best friends at the new Grand Californian Villas.
In July 2010 we go to San Diego for 4 days to attend Comic-Con.
And that will do it until this cruise!! Lots of exciting stuff to look forward to!

I've been to the website and will send all our info shortly. I've also joined the Facebook group so I think we are all set! I'm not a big poster so you might not see me a lot but I will always be reading everything and keeping up!!

By the way, did anybody else sign up for the November 14th event in Epcot? Mousehunt? Our friends from CA signed us up so we will be going.

I forgot to welcome all the new people. I didn't read what I missed while away, so I apologize!

Gus and I will be doing Mouse Adventure on Nov 14th (see above). We are team Kungalooshed! I'm sure we will see you there!

Chasity (with one t) lol. ;)

Well... :welcome: to the cruise.
Looks like your year is all planned!:cool1:
Just think...
we all have another year to get to know each other better:laughing:

We have just come back from Ca a month ago, my cousin lives in Camarillo,so we were visiting him. I have just been listning to the news about your budget deficit......
I meant to say my mum and dad are cruising with us, Gus and morag, now you couldnt make those names up!
2 gus!

Your welcome, I think folk always report problems with them, I had noting but hassle with Ba when I flew with them, they cancelled connecting flight from london and I had to catch the next flight, 6 hours later, not good, then they put on another flight roughly when the original was, when I asked to be swapped they said yes but I would have to pay as my ticket does not allow chages to other flights, :mad:never again.
AA they were really good but no vegi food, I was not impressed with them.
NWA were brilliant. When we went to kansas they held a flight that i was connecting to for 10 mins so we caught it, I know it probably suited them to do it but still.
