Things will probably open up at the 90 day mark, if not before. :thumbsup2 Plans change for lots of folks when you have to book this far out.

well it looks like we might be going on this one to.

me and the other half and bringing along the brother.

x2 cat 9. put depos on it so well see.

just a quick question for previous repo cruisers. for all the sea days what kind of entertainment do they have? any more shows during the night? or just bring a book and read away.

nick
WELCOME - I love the Disney Cruises and there is always so much to do - you couldn't possibly do it all....

Amanda, Jason, Bob and I are taking this one too! :cheer2: Really looking forward to two weeks! Glad to see a few more from the KLP group here.

I have started on my trip report. Once it is done, I will cross post it in the UK trip reports section and put a link in my signature. The photos from my digital camera have been downloaded and the photos from the ship's photographers have been scanned and all photos are now on photobucket.

Corinna

Looking forward to this Corinna!

Thanks Sarah. Looking on the bright side that at least I'm not having to change jobs entirely but it is hard work

Good morning everyone.

Welcome to the new families:goodvibes

I was on DCLs site last evening and it showed us leaving Barcelona at 9:30 P.M. and arriving at Castaway Cay at 11:30 until 5:30 P.M.

So maybe what you saw was a glitch in the system or something but as of last night it was showing the original hours.:confused3
I hope it stays that way.

My life is calming down a bit, so hopefully I will be home more so I can post more in the near future. Mom is settling into her routine in her new home. We will finish cleaning her house in one more weekend and then turn it over to a realtor to sell. Last weekend we got the flower beds back in shape. That was a BIG job.

Next week we are going camping for a week to relax some. my nerves are shot. Then hopefully right after the July 4th weekend I will be home more and can catch up with this board.

Your all so chatty it is hard when I am gone for days at a time. We cant wait for this cruise!!

later all,
Kathy

Hmmm..... :confused3 Although I hadn't reported anything on here, I had seen this for a few weeks. I just looked again, and see the 4:00 pm departure and 11:15 - 4:30 Castaway Cay window.

Can someone else try the link below and let me know what they see? Maybe it's my cache that needs cleared....or like Kathy said, the site is unstable (huh...imagine THAT! :rotfl: )

Kimberly, I checked without using your link and when I look at 14 day WB transatlantic - it's showing departure at 4 and CC at 11:15 - 4:30.

This site does show exactly what you reported.:thumbsup2
But if you go to the cruise lines web site and work through the prompts to the itenerary it shows the old times.
This is really weird isnt it?:confused3

Guess we will have to call and ask to clear it up or wait until one of the sites changes again. I know they can be off on their web sites. It has happened before.

Kathy

I will go and look again, perhaps they have updated their site from last night,
I'll let you know what I find today,

Kathy

I just went back and check thier site and now it is changed to match what you found.:thumbsup2
They had to have have changed it from last night. Good timing for me I guess.

But your correct on the new times.;)
That will be hard for those of us arriving the same day. Most flight through DCL arnt arriving until 2 p.m. or later and then you still have to get to the port.
maybe they will change us to earlier flights, however there arnt all that many going over. Most are red eye and arrive close to the same time. I was hoping after the muster drill to get to off the ship and explore for a couple of hours before having to be back on board.

Oh well, maybe they will change again, we have along time to go. Otherwise we wont even get to see any of Barcelona.:sad2:

Gotta walk my pups,

Kathy

Yikes! They can't have people planned to arrive that late for an international flight! They'll *have* to change their flight plans for most of the same-day arrival people!

Kathy brings up a good conversation point. Has anyone had experience with late night sailings to speak to when the Muster Drill would occur? I would think it couldn't be until close to departure time because the majority of guests need to participate. If they went back to the 9:00 all-on-board for departure, it seems possible that some may not arrive until within maybe two hours of that time, if it be due to travel or because people are sightseeing Barcelona.

That's one reason we plan on going in early and having time in Spain, not just Barcelona, to me flying over and not spending some time in Spain would be so sad... especially since my DH has been there and wants to show me his heritage. Several generations ago, but nonetheless - important to him.

On the previous WBTA, we were on the ship for 1 full day before we departed. The muster drill was surprisingly held at 3pm on the day we boarded, not the day we departed. I missed it because I was out exploring the city. I just received a letter in my stateroom explaining the evacuation process.

Now if we are really departing at 4pm maybe DCL will fly us in a day early then I'll have time to explore the city some more. I can't imagine them being okay with international arrivals within 2-3 hours of the departure time.

I was on an RCCL cruise many years ago departing out of FL. I purchased airfare through the cruiseline and when I got my flight assignment I was surprised that they didn't fly us in the day before. And they didn't even put us on a red-eye. When I called to inquire about it I was told that I could have requested to fly a day ahead, but since I didn't I was stuck with the same day flight. Our scheduled arrival was 3pm for a 5pm departure. I was so glad I had booked through the cruiseline, because they HAD to wait for us when we were late.

How about exploring Barcelona with us in a Go Car ??? They were great in San Francisco and they have them in Barcelona ....

Go Car Tours

Melissa and I will be doing this , and from the look of it I dont have to wear a silly helmet so it looks like Jacks Hat and Elvis glasses for Barcelona ..(and Yes these will be the ones from the PC that ended up at the bottom of the ocean in Aruba and were recovered by yours truly ..)

Work schedules wont allow us to go early or we would do that too.
I may call and ask about it when its a bit closer to the cruise.:goodvibes

I know this has nothing to do with the cruise BUT...

I am beaming with pride right now for my brother, his son and son-in-law. My brother owns a cargo company at Dulles Airport and is now all over the news for shipping the equipment the Navy will use to search for the Air France flight that went down. He is Dave King, his son is Mike King, and son-in-law is Mike Helmer, all referred to below. I am always proud of them as they ship a lot of equipment and supplies for the military to Iraq for the soldiers to enjoy as well as eat and have protective equipment.

The van will be flown to Brazil to help recover the flight data and cockpit voice recorders of an Air France passenger aircraft that went down in the Atlantic Ocean.
