DH took the girls to a Father Daughter Dance on base tonight. I just wanted to share some photos from before they left.

We are here----literally!! We checked into Kidani village at AKL Villas this morning and have spent the day hanging out, went shopping for supplies, got our annual passes renewed and picked up tickets for my parents and niece and was able to save a ton of $$$$ (free tickets for active duty and retired military personnel is a very good thing!)

Boy I know how you feel, sometimes I find things out about my sis and her plans and we live less than 3 miles away and see each other all the time!!! Thereby - my tag.... sometimes I have to Dis to talk to my sister..." - or something to that effect! Just goes to show you the "DIS EFFECT"! Have a great day!


Is anyone else having trouble getting excited about this cruise because they have other vacations standing between this and them?

I am just SO excited about our TORTOLA cruise I can't even begin to think about 2010!

Boy do you have that right. We leave for WDW and a 7 day on the Magic on June 16 and as that is just over a month away that is taking up most of my time. As this is the first cruise for my DGDs they are getting very excited.

The tourght of this cruise is very exciting and I can hardly wait for the next year to pass(wishing my life away). I have started to save for this cruise and have also thought about packing and what we will be doing for those 5 sea days.

I do have a question, we have been thinking about adding a few days at WDW after the cruise does anyone know if we can do that an still have Disney handle our transportation?

Are you taking advantage of the great Swan and Dolphin deal that DCL is offering? $110 a night including taxes and everything. We were going to use WDW's 40% off military discount but the rates did not come close to the $110 a night!

Since we are staying 5 days this Sept at WDW - our plan is to add days on to the trip at the beginning in Spain! My DH has spanish blood - so we'll be viewing his homeland...

That's a great deal...... I have never heard of this deal, is it just for military? DH is retired AF.

It is a special DCL is doing through 2009. It can be used for pre or post nights when taking a cruise. It has to be booked through DCL or your TA.

I am excited to stay there for that price!

We are home in Montana. We have just some short trips planned, then another big on summer 2010 to see the northern US. We may fly from the eastcoast to Spain and store the RV while we are gone. I know airfare would be alot less than from Missoula or Spokane, our two choices from here.

I finally bought myself an iPhone last night! So far I'm loving it! Still trying to figure it out though! LOL!!!

They definitely take a little getting used to, but I love my iPhone and can't imagine having a different cellphone. Even DH is coming round to the idea that an iPhone has its advantages.

Some days DH and I communicate through various forums. I work shifts and when I am on the graveyard shift, we never see each other awake. When I get home in the early morning hours, he is asleep and when he leaves for work, I am still sleeping. We both post on a couple of different forums though. On a smaller forum that we are both active on, the other people are finding the banter going backwards and forwards really funny.

We took Disney transportation back to WDW last year, but had sorted our own stay out with our DVC points and we are doing the same again this year.

Yes, I have to admit, I am excited about other vacations before the TA! I just booked my July 4th Fireworks cruise on a tall ship on Boston Harbor with our friends and I am jumping up and down! I cannot wait - Lobster Rolls, The Boston Pops and fireworks - what could be better. Okay, a Disney cruise! But yes, you are right, there are lots of things coming up before September 2010! I think all of us have weddings, vacations, births, graduations, etc, that we are just as excited about. That is okay - we are STILL excited, but we have to wait a little while longer.

Since it's getting abit warm here, I thought I might clean up my studio desk at 7 this morning.
I came upon a folder in a box I haven't seen in awhile. Me, being noisey, I drug it into the house.

HOLY COW !!!!

A bunch of paper stuff from the maiden voyage of the Magic!!! I thought I had it all.
My KTTWCs were there, the menu on how to order lunch on the day we boarded, cards they left on our pillows each night with a mint. I even found the total bill from GS!!! Can you believe it was $565.40 ! OMG... that was the smallest bill we ever had! And a cool letter from the GF welcoming us and all the other passengers.
In a small envelope was our dining roatation tickets. Nope... they were not on the KTTWC then...

We will be stayinga at the POP. I made these reservations back in Feb, 2008. We usually cut corners on the rooms as we only spend time there to sleep.

We are home in Montana. We have just some short trips planned, then another big on summer 2010 to see the northern US. We may fly from the eastcoast to Spain and store the RV while we are gone. I know airfare would be alot less than from Missoula or Spokane, our two choices from here.

Ahhh Montana - sounds like the Summer 2010 trip will be very exciting! I'd love to explore more of Idaho, Montana and Wyoming!

It is true, there is a "whole lot of living to do!" I too am looking forward to the transAtlantic - I think part of my hesitation is that my DH hasn't been ON a cruise yet, and if by some strange means - he doesn't care for it, we will cancel - and just do Spain, and other parts of Europe in 2010. But... we all know how addicting a cruise (especially a Disney Cruise) is... so I'm not really worried!
